I wish they’d do another swirl run in general! Apparently the reason they don’t do many is bc they have a crazy high standard for swirl patterns so they quality control a lot of the less desirable swirls away and repaint those bodies. I think people might not be as picky as they are but there is a reason dingwall has such a great rep so i can’t blame them too much
@ i think the people would like the weird not good enough swirls personally but that’s just the reasoning i was told. The fretboard is actually just a sticker from a company called NeckIllusions! I’ve been using their stuff for years now, it just sticks on under your strings and you can’t even tell it’s there
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! I’m biased but i think everything is a little better with more bass, hopefully one day my channel will be filled with videos like this for bass appreciators
Thank you dude! Ngl i was inspired to try it after i saw a hate comment on a reel dingwall posted of me playing some picked metalcore riff. My favorite part about being a bass player online is that I’m always wrong 😂
@@RoyBeattynah man fuck that. Pick tone on bass is absolutely amazing. Can’t let the trolls dictate how you play! That being said you did awesome here!!!! I actually have the same bass and made the same move with the Payson bridge. The fretboard vinyl looks awesome.
@@matthewduncan9405 Oh I don't! I do think playing around with the trolls in the comments usually helps my engagement though lol. My goal recently is to try and get all of my techniques up to the same level so I've been really spending a lot of time on the finger stuff but I think it's all equally important. I LOVE a good pick tone on bass, especially on a dingwall. Thank you sm dude! And yoooo, pink swirl gang! That's awesome, which string amount does yours have? It's always nice to meet a fellow pink swirler. I'm loving the payson bridge, I wanna get one for my 5 string now too.
@ oh dude nice! I haven’t seen another pink swirl 6, great snag. Mine was my first 6 and my second dingwall, and I’m saving up so that my third can be a z as well. I played Ken reed’s z at guitar fest this year and it’s definitely the best bass I’ve ever played, i wasn’t sure how big of an upgrade it would really be but it absolutely felt worth it to me
Thank you dude! It’s just many years of trying and failing to play the infinite regression by animals as leaders that built my thumb up. With slap in your username tho you gotta get back on the bass train
Thank you dude! I have to agree, it's my favorite NG3. This exact bass was the one used to profile the dingwall drop F setting on the JST DI Match plugin actually, scooping this thing up was my best decision.
Thank you so much dude! I’m definitely gonna make a tone video in the near future, I’ve been getting a ton of requests for it so keep an eye out! Hopefully can get that one put together before the new year
Thank you my dude! This one was so fun, I’m doing my best to find other songs to cover from other bands before my channel turns into learning the meshuggah discography lol

That bass is so fucking cool, the quality is amazing, and you fucking killed it great job dude!
Thank you sm dude! I'm gonna do my best to keep pumping out these sorts of videos with some sort of consistency
man i want them to rerelease this finish in purple so bad. F*cking sick playing though

@@RoyBeatty Fair honestly, They do seem to be amazing instruments. Did they do your fretboard as well?

I like this even more than the original mix. That bass tone is thunderous. 3:21 this amount of heaviness shouldn't even be legal
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! I’m biased but i think everything is a little better with more bass, hopefully one day my channel will be filled with videos like this for bass appreciators
The fact that you pulled tone with fingers, great job dude.

@ I have the 6 as well 😀! It was my first Dingwall. A year after I got the Hellboy Bass! Loving both. Hoping to save for a Z someday!

Can’t get enough of the sound of that dingwall. It just has that certain clankyness about it, super DINGY if you catch my drift 😂👀
Thank you dude! Yeah it just keeps surprising me with how great it sounds, it makes practicing bass exciting
@@RoyBeatty the darkglass pre-amp really be the best thing that ever happened to me playing bass. its soooo fun
@ i love the preamp but tbh i don’t even use it, i don’t like changing batteries 😭 but the bright side is that i got this tone even without it!
Nice even playing, loved the feel. One of the best Meshuggah riffs!
10/10, nothing more to say.
Thank you for the kind words!
The way you pick with your thumb is so clean, makes me want to pick my bass back up

thats the fucking sickest dingy

Dude, this is absolutely awesome!! Would really like to see a video on your tone. Thanks for the inspiration!

Epic , glad I found you on here!! Love the extra notes in some of the riffs, really made your sound stand out. Awesome feel, too
Thank you so much! I tried to stay as faithful to the original as i could but there were a few notes i felt compelled to add, im glad you enjoyed it!
Bravo!
Thank you sm my dude!
Dude the tone in this video is monstrous! Keep it up!
Thank you sm my dude! I’m gonna be pumping these out as consistently as I can
Great sound!
Thank you sm homie!
FIYA
I played it fingerstyle just so you wouldn’t yell at me for not downpicking it all 😭
Absolutely crushed it dude!
Thank you sm homie! I was wearing my dbz shorts in spirit
This kicks ass!
Thank you for watching!
Excellent playing! Such a beautiful bass too!
Thank you so much! This thing is my pride and joy for sure 😇
If I could put the Jens Kidman face in the comments here I would
Duuuuude that’s such a good idea, i can’t believe i didn’t think of it in the video. Maybe i could add it to the thumbnail lmaooo
It's like a constant army march.
Absolutely, especially that last riff. It feels so menacing and mechanical with the way the pattern keeps turning around
I love this song! Great playing bud!
Thank you my dude! This one was so fun, I’m doing my best to find other songs to cover from other bands before my channel turns into learning the meshuggah discography lol
Beautiful bass
Thank you so much! I got really lucky to find this one secondhand when I did, I haven't seen a whole lot of them around
Nice
Thanks for watching!
Slap with a dingwall sounds FAT
It’s addictive, i only got into slappy stuff about two years ago but its all i wanna do these days
🥵
🥰🥰
Nice shirt
Thank you! I had to rep the boys on this one, i wanna do one of their songs at some point too
Facebook brought me here
It’s good to see you here buddy
