    It is also important to the source of debt. They borrowed it from who? From own country or from the outside financial sector. Risk can be so different. Japan mostly borrowed from its own civilians, not outside investors who try to extract the asset from other countries..

      Alongside a list of countries with the best social services maybe? If tax is paying many things that in a less taxed country would be private expenditure (especially health care, education, care in old age and childcare for working couples) then high taxes may not be a 'burden'.

    • @benjamingrant3441
      @benjamingrant3441 ปีที่แล้ว

      В большинстве случаев плохо (за некоторыми исключениями)
      Но везде по-разному плохо. На это влияет:
      - тип долга (внешний или внутренний)
      - причина долга (системные проблемы или неожиданный короткий кризис или же кто-то просто временно дал деньги на хранение)
      - прочие факторы (кому должен, сколько природных ресурсов в запасе, какие есть прочие источники заработка и т. д.)
      К примеру, у Сша был долг под 100% после 2ой мировой, но в нем была часть тех денег, которые другие страны убирали подальше от военных действий. Это не проблема.
      А если возьмем текущую Японию, то это уже системный кризис (экономика не растет 30 лет) + нет запасенных или разведанных ресурсов + нет возможности увеличить как-то эффективность экономики (рождаемость падает лет 10 подряд, люди работают итак очень много, новой инфраструктуры нет и т. д.)

    I think the chart forgot about the UNFUNDED LIABILITIES and other welfare programs, the U.S. total debts will be at least 80% of U.S. GDP.
