The worst part of being a coder is that if you sit ideal then you will feel lonely. Hence most of the coders you see are introvert. If you don't drink and a vegetarian its quite difficult to make new friends outside India . I have been living in USA from past 2 years and having a similar experience in whatever you talked today. Host parties, gym, cycling location - Amsterdam. So stop blaming start changing. You can't talk about DSA with everyone you meet. ( They haven't gone to one club in Amsterdam, plus veg and teetotaler)
There are sooo many woke vegetarians here in the US, especially in California. Also, sports is the best way to meet people and a community. Sports is just an example...
