I find it so absolutely hilarious that the decks play style has starters, a combo line, but then fails to stick the landing by that combo not ending on much.
Honestly the end board is fine, the main issue is just extreme vulnerability to handtraps. Pick any random monster in the entire combo line to imperm/ash and they end on nothing. You also don’t have enough room to main crossout AND have enough non engine to not auto lose going 2nd. Cranium Burst by itself is a crazy end board piece. Back it up with a snatch steal and pop 2 and most decks are going to struggle.

Actually the deck does wayyyy. More. He doesn't play all the cards. After I tested memento attic ghost. It fixed alot of the problems. It also lets you link climb.
tbf, i think that's reasonable given that you're usually milling at minimum 4 or 5 named monsters per turn. We don't need this deck to just be Tearlaments

The Attic ghost has a good grave eff besides I think this deck will get some more support, not necessarily soon but it will because even with the new attic ghost support the archetype does not feel as a whole besides the boss has such weird wording of his effect that implies an extra deck monster for the archetype is missing.
Interesting that the combined creation mentions shuffling memento monsters into the extra deck when there currently aren’t any. Here’s hoping this means there will be future support and not just stuff left to rot like Materiactor or the Priminerals
im guessing they're getting more support usually this kind of arquetypes of constructor packs get 2 or 3 rounds of support that make them viable, like exosisters got martha and magnifica in diff sets, rescue-ace was same thing, purrely and mikanko the same, they usually start slow cuz its just the begining set, i hope the get some support for extra deck and something that let them play over a handtrap in a turn
That doesn't guarantee they'll add extra deck memento monsters. Nekroz of clausolas mentions nekroz traps when there aren't any and it's been like 8 years since nekroz format
When Memento Attic Ghost comes out in the next set, it fixes up some of the consistency issues of the deck by letting Tatsu do a bit more on its own. It certainly isn't gonna fix the deck completely but its a cool add nonetheless. Really hoping this deck gets a....Link 1 that searches the field spell....(yeah yeah) because it would really really help :)
I really like these cards, both the strategy, the theme, and the naming sense going for a Aztec naming theme as that was part of the history classes I took in high school. That said the end combo as many say it simply lacking even though the deck in and of itself is good.
Considering that the boss monsters summoning condition literally list you can send mementos back into the extra deck as well Konami just needs to hurry up and make a extra deck monster for the archetype to help this deck.
im not kidding, bone back seems like a decent side deck pick against a variety of strategies. namely any deck that's running bystials or anything that primarily ends on little knight. if your opponent plays into it, which in some instances they might be forced to do, you get to punish them harder than anyone has ever been punished before
@@ricardolima4809 Thing is, bone back is supposed to be used to get another boss out incase they out the first one. It's meant to do just that, but it doesn't work.
its nice to see a neat retrain of tri-horned...the fact that this is a runs on a gimmick of old forgottan normal monsters being revived as undead (despite none of them being zombie types) with heavy control and resource manipulating is really neet...and given the abundance of old vanilla cards theres a wide veriety for potential support in the future.... i could see Serpant night dragon getting in on this archtype
The main issue this deck has is not having the support to bridge different plays. It's mostly a question of your search targets, not enough extenders, and the deck needs a way to net plus advantage. The field spell can get punished if your opponent has a hand trap for your starter, essentially ending your turn(Case in point in this video 13:20).
Wow, did not expect this archetype to be nearly as dogs**t as shown here. Guess if you're gonna get anything from this, Centur-Ion is literally the only good archetype in here and it's just worse Mannadium with a better ability to play non-engine.

This might be more of referencing that dark blade, warrior dai grapha’s armor has become forgotten over time. Dai grepha continually appears in funny hijinks while his dark blade persona rarely is referenced, the most recent one before this card was fusion deployment I believe?

You gotta put the tip of your tongue in between your front teeth (like if you are about to bite it) to pronounce the tlan at the end of Mementotlan. And the phonetic accent must be in the 'a' at the end of the word: mementotl(a)n. In the video you pronounced the phonetic accent in the 'o': Mement(o)tlan. But it should be in the 'a' instead, as it comes from the word Mictlán (the Aztec underworld). Not calling you out, I'm explaining this if you want to learn how to pronounce it. It's not a big deal anyways.
Love how everyone has this take when it comes to decks like these. Last time someone said " these cards are bulk" from a collector rare set was rescue ace. This archetype is legit 1 or 2 cards away from being busted just like RAce was with "Emergency!"

It’s pretty sad I could make a deck centered around OG Dark Blade or Tri Horned to compete with how cheeks Konami made this deck. But uh. They look amazing amirite?!

The deck ends in almost nothing right now but I'd keep an eye on the spells,a sub effect that made them banish a memento from gy could win tou the game on the spot so an abyss actor theater type card would make a lot of sense

Memento's best feature post Phantom Nightmare is how easy it can link climb to feed it's boss monster, right now it has almost no redeeming qualities as all it does is telegraphed, very disruptable and linear. And it's setup, while easy to do, dies and ends it's turn after 1 handtrap on average. A fact the Attic Ghost does not really change.
I think it has potential with some more support (just look at amazing defenders deck then and now). Also the fact that combined creation states deck or extra deck makes me think we might get some old vanilla fusions as mementos which might make the difference.

They didnt do that because the idea was to use memento bone back to recover the boss if they out it. Problem is card requires to run 2 Bosses, so it ends up being bad.

Well to be fair what really made rescue ace top tier was the support in conjunction with the diabellestar support. The diabellestarr stuff made seeing hydrant brain dead easy. I don't know what nonengine support this deck is going to need to help it.

@@bl00by_ the synchro 12 pool isnt good. The only generic card thats worth playing is cosmic blasar. So best case scenario is basically blasar and their boss monster or baronne with their engine. Two interruptions alot of decks can push through that while the combo to get there is fragile. Calamity is hard carrying the decks existence . In the ocg its a tier 3 deck
Combined creation mentioning extea deck just makes me feel like not only are we getting links or fusions (contact fusions?) but they are going to be those crappy fusions nobody played like fusionist and rare fish
Shame, I like the skeletal look of the archetype. I wish their was an archetype of grittier anime skeletons with thick bold outlines and sketchy styles like Dai Dark or Dorhedoro. That’d be pretty cool if it was playable.
They aren't normals so they don't count. Though they should absolutely print a kiryu + dark blade fusion monster... it's weird that only 1 of his dragons got a fusion.

Considering what trouble the ishizu and Tear cards caused Konami was probably looking to stop graveyard effects for awhile until they balance it.

Two interruptions alot of decks can push through that while the combo to get there is fragile. Calamity is hard carrying the decks existence . In the ocg its a tier 3 deck

Shame, I like the skeletal look of the archetype. I wish their was an archetype of grittier anime skeletons with thick bold outlines and sketchy styles like Dai Dark or Dorhedoro. That’d be pretty cool if it was playable.
