You can plant them on the roadside as well, I am growing some European oaks in my room alongside with my flowers. I am gonna plant them in spring on the verge of highways in Lodz city. No, that was my mistake to leave those acorns there. Eventually they dry up and were useless. When you pick them up in fall - the best way to do is to put them into the ground or pot imediately. They dry up pretty quickly - in week or 2 they are dry. Łódź is amazing with oaks be cause they have huge forrest full of em - you can collect tons of acorns every year. In my area there are very small numbers of oaks. Around Łódź in "Łągiewnicki las" there are huge numbers of oaks. I live in northern Mazowsze - here oaks are not that visible. With seedlings the same - the quicker you plant them outside the better.
@@arminiuszmazowszanin2670 yes, Lodz is surrounded by forests, totally greenland, Since I am from desert country i am so astonished by seeing such huge woodland here in Northern Europe, esp in Poland, I have been to Lagiewnicki las several times, pure, untouched nature! Gorgeous, every season gives various appearance to the forest, early spring was nice later summer is absolutely different. Also, Lodz is full of maples, alder and other types of trees. Love them all. 🌱🪴🌲
