I did later on and there wasn’t a difference. I stayed inside so the camera wouldn’t overheat

That's because it is safe to watch the total eclipse with naked eyes. The shine power is the same as the full moon.
Looking at eclipse partial or full is arguably less dangerous than looking at sun in normal so there is nothing too dangerous about eclipse
