So, core crushing, different grit on each side, currently not approved, hitting super hot, $300... I will most likely have to send these first batches back for warranty... I will hold off.

Two, 3 hour sessions and core crushed Magnus 14mm, going on two weeks going back and forth with Joola customer service, getting the run around.

This really only affects Tournament players - Rec players LOVE whatever gives them an advantage over their friends. Now, having said that, the key is that they are no longer approved for USAP Sanctioned Tournaments - the PPA is NOT a USAP Sanctioned event so it will be interesting to see what they do, considering all of the sponsorship dollars (and the fact Benny J is the face of their Tour) do.

True. What comes next? I suspect......with this much $ involved....that this will be resolved soon. But you can't put the horse back in the barn.

So you’re going to show up at rec play with a non approved paddle? NOT just get an EVA paddle. Crazy right!

Very worried about this trend. And highly doubt it's an administrative error. The coefficient of restitution meeting is really bad news.
Don't think these paddles are anything special. If they were something the USAPA worried about selkirk wouldn't be developing the same design.
The crackling could be their very poor quality foam used in the second layer. PE has no durability. The honeycomb should be no less durable. The way they attempt a floating core doesn't stand a chance.

Joola and Selkirk are the two biggest names in pickleball with a lot of sponsorship dollars. If Selkirk can get away with just a little slap on the wrist and a little fine for the hole in the paddle. I am sure Joola and USAP will work something out. Right now they are saying it's a testing issue and it is NOT a "ban" yet. There are millions and millions of dollars involved, they will figure it out. I will not lose any sleep over this. Meanwhile, I love playing my Perseus 3.

Played against this paddle twice and hate everything about it. Can’t get out of the way of speed up’s, can’t judge ball depth, it’s like a cheat code in the worst way.

Thought it was more feed back to a friend/paddle reviewer. But glad to make a troll friend that bought this paddle! 🤠

I have a Magnus3, I've enjoyed it for about 8 hours on court, but I think I'll retire it. I don't want to play with anything "questionable". I already hit plenty hard. I play for fun on rec courts. I have zero interest in being "that guy" that uses out of spec, hot, non-compliant equipment. Joola needs to Eat this, literally. Offer All customers the option to return their gen3's for A Full Refund!

These paddles will be back on the approved list within a week, you can count on it. Tens of thousands of these things have already been manufactured, shipped, and sold with USAP approved stamps, with what appears to be a substantial marketing campaign behind them. Zero chance the biggest sponsor in pickleball has its premiere paddle line banned. Zero chance. Follow the money.
