hello brother if it was your vehicle and what amplifier would you personally install? Since it had a JBB premium system, you would want an amplifier that has higher dsp?
@provobeastaudio: I just want to say thank you for this video. I just got a Camry for my dad and the stereo head unit wasn't working. Just installed a pioneer single din (basically for handsfree) and wired everything using your schematics and wiring diagram. I rarely log in to comment, but you saved me a ton of time. Appreciate the video!
I just rewatched this again, and gotta say, I appreciate the hard work you did in this challenging situation. Because you made it really understandable and rather easy for us Camry owners. Cheers 🍻
Hi I have 2008 Camry non jbl, I had watched your video many times again but couldn’t figure out how to wire the speaker wire. I see that the color of the wire you mentioned don’t match like for front and rear are 2 different connector? Do you have any pictures or any guide will help. Thank you!
If I am using a 4 channel amp like the Kicker Key, couldn't I just utilize the factory power and ground connections on those adapter harnesses? I'm still running RCAs and a new remote wire with the new radio, but that would simplify the power wires, that way I don't have to split off the power wire going to the trunk for the sub amp.
Sure, just depending on how many amps of current your new kicker would be pulling. I'd check to see the amp fuse rating for the factory amp before you assume the factory wiring can handle that amperage.
Looks like someone did some previous work to the vehicle. Wanted to clarify something with you. The two brown (ground) wires for the factory amp is connected to which output speaker harness? Mine looks like it’s been cut and I wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance
I have the same exact make, model and year car as this. I bypassed the factory jbl amp like you did- only difference is, I didn’t add an amp. I ran speaker wire right from the bypass harness to the back of my aftermarket head unit. Problem I’m having is that, it doesn’t appear to be powering on. When I can next yellow and red wires together, the head unit powers on and stays on. How else can I get it to power on when the car is on?
You didn't show any if the sub installation and it appears you may have put a bass control on drivers side. Do you have video you can add or created another video?
Should i get this or newer model..how will u think it would sound compared to my kappa 5 channel...my kappa keeps draining car i think it's not shutting down properly so thinking of switching my prior 5 channel wasnt doing this.
Been watching this for days and trying to figure out how to wire a 5 channel amp with the OEM navigation headunit from a 2010 Camry. Currently stuck because the audio turns off as soon as I disconnect the OEM amp
Video is awesome and easy to follow. By any chance Do you have any videos on installing aftermarket radio, amp, and speakers for a 2008 Infiniti G45x sedan? Thanx
Has anyone experienced issues with the amp overheating? Now that the weather is hotter, it goes into protect mode pretty regularly after driving a while. How hard will it be to move it?
That is a 980 watt amp. Doesn't the car alternator need to be upgraded for such load handling as that model csmry comes with 12v 80amp alternator wich is 1080watts and the car uses 80% of the watts for normal operation leaving just 200 watts for mods. Can someone explain please?
Nope, but also depends on the trim level of your vehicle. If you wish to keep the factory radio, I can help you with necessary parts if you shoot me a message on facebook or instagram
Hey man, I have a question. I have a 07 Camry with the factory JBL system (no nav). The voice coils on the factory tweeters burnt out and the rear speakers were blown. After replacing all 6 factory speakers the new tweeters smell like the coil are burning again. I cannot for the life of me figure out what would be causing it. Is it the amp, is it a short, how do I go about trouble shooting this? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm having the same problem. Multiple places around town says it's the amp. I'm glad I found this video because all other places want to sell me on their own stuff and said there's no replacing the amp and everything would be replaced. This video proves them wrong
Hey bro on the harness adapters, when I re-pin them do I need t match the colors, like green with the green? Or do I need to have green with the green and black stripe?
Quick question, had someone hook up my 4 channel and I have the jbl system he took out the amp but ran the wires from my deck to my 4 channel and sounds really soft was wondering if I should take the deck harness where he hooked up the wires and run it off the factory amp harness? Please let me know thank you.
Hello, since we keep the standard speaker cabling, does that still mean that there are still 8 channels? How did you wire the rear coaxial and front components? Did they have any externel crossovers for components? Apologize you might explained this in video, but i cant follow all of what said. and i cant translate it to Czech, my Englisch speaking is not bad because i live in Amerika, how ever trying to listen and follow allong can be difficult.
Call around. Although most audio shops will want to sell you their equipment (for warranty purposes) which can be a bit more expensive than purchasing online.
Because the adapter we used was not meant for the JBL Camry sound system, rather for a SR5 Tundra trim. But since the harnesses were the same size, we could repin the harness and use it for our purposes.
hello just a quick question. i have a 2010 toyota venza with the jbl system in it. i ordered a radio from cructhfield along with the wiring harness option and kept the factory jbl amp. everything works but now i just want to replace the 6.5 and 6 x 9 speakers in the front and back doors, out of the 13 speakers that it has i just want to upgrade 4. you think it's possible to get away with just doing that?
I have question I have the facelift Camry 2015 but is identical to this one. Where do you recommend to get the ground because I try the rear seat bolt I even scratch paint off but when I plug my amp I saw sparks coming from the rca. If is something else I’ll appreciate it
Parts used linked in the description of the video!
I wish you would do it five channel on 2016 Kia optima

THANK YOU for doing all the testing of those wires! This is exactly the information I've been looking for!

Thanks for this video! Lots of useful information!
where do i buy the repin tool? getting ready to do an install like this !
Can’t wait to watch this one!

Hey nice video i have a question can i use that harness on a 2018 toyota tundra limited with jbl amp ??
Yes but those notes are in the description for those with JBL in the tundra video we have on our channel.
Looks like someone did some previous work to the vehicle. Wanted to clarify something with you. The two brown (ground) wires for the factory amp is connected to which output speaker harness? Mine looks like it’s been cut and I wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance
Thanks for posting now I can run the power wire with out no worries 😃

Would the Camry push 500-700 watts ok on the standard Alternator?
Yep, as long as your battery under the hood is in good shape.
You didn't show any if the sub installation and it appears you may have put a bass control on drivers side. Do you have video you can add or created another video?
I don't understand why you repinned the constant/ground wires if you did not intend to use them.
Would this be same procedure for a 4 channel amp?
Yep, exact same process
why is there a little sound on doors when base goes higher levels ?
Should i get this or newer model..how will u think it would sound compared to my kappa 5 channel...my kappa keeps draining car i think it's not shutting down properly so thinking of switching my prior 5 channel wasnt doing this.
Okay. So if I have a aftermarket amp for my speakers do I need to use the jbl crux stereo harness? Or the non jbl crux stereo harness?
I have a 2011 Camry and had problems getting my factory antenna wire to hookup to my Kenwood radio did you have a problem or use a adapter
Been watching this for days and trying to figure out how to wire a 5 channel amp with the OEM navigation headunit from a 2010 Camry. Currently stuck because the audio turns off as soon as I disconnect the OEM amp
Would you recommend a 4 channel amp? I have a 2011 Toyota Camry with JBl system.
just need to know where im able to put my ground on my frame
When you said 200rms at most with factory wiring, is that rms per speaker or total rms?
Its about 100w RMS each channel for factory speaker wiring. Toyota uses about 18 gauge copper wiring which is still decent in power handling.
Thanks for the response!@@ProvoBeastAudio
Tried running my amp cable through that grommet and couldn’t get it through for the life of me. What size wire did you run through it?
Video is awesome and easy to follow. By any chance Do you have any videos on installing aftermarket radio, amp, and speakers for a 2008 Infiniti G45x sedan? Thanx
Did you have any issues with your antenna, I have a 2011 camry changed it to a beautiful Kenwood double din and got no antenna signal
Make sure you hook up the antenna amplified circuit on your radio harness. We can help more if you send us a message on facebook.

Do you need an after market radio?????
Nope, but also depends on the trim level of your vehicle. If you wish to keep the factory radio, I can help you with necessary parts if you shoot me a message on facebook or instagram

I also have this question!
Didn’t even get to see you install the sub?
Here you go: th-cam.com/video/tv7Xyyzeo5c/w-d-xo.html
Good job -but didn’t show how to run wire through backseat to trunk.
How much would this cost to get installed at a speaker shop? I'm all about diy projects but I know my limits

do anyone know if 2 15' subs can fit these cars?
