Building from the experience we've gained from our Africa Twin and Yamaha T7 High Fender Kits, we designed this kit for the extremely capable Desert X. This high-fender kit is built to last and perform in even the most extreme off-road conditions.

Your kit includes the following:
-Black anodized billet 6061 fender adaptor
-Galfer braided stainless steel brake line and hardware
-Anodized aluminum fork guard adaptors
-All required fasteners
-Camel ADV decals
The fender and fork guards themselves are NOT INCLUDED in the kit!
Why? Several reasons:
-Shipping our kit without a fender and fork guards is much more affordable for customers. Fenders are bulky and require a much larger shipping box than the conversion parts.
-We buy fenders at near retail prices. Our cost to purchase fenders is usually higher than our customers' local price.
-All that been said, in the future, we may stock one fender style in a few colors just in case you don't want to source your own.
Fender info:
Due to the short distance from the bike's triple clamp to the rad guard and the overall size of the fork guards, we recommend using the PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender.
-White PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500001
-Black PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500002
-Yellow PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500003
-Blue PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500005

Fork Guard Info:
Due to the unique mounting arrangement of the Tuareg's low fender, standard dirtbike-style fork guards are not compatible with the Tuareg's forks. You will need Norden 901 fork guard kit (part number below) to complete your conversion.
-Norden 901 Fork Guard - KTM part# 63501994044C1 (PAIR)
KTM 790R or 890R fork guards can also be used, but they have an orange graphic molded into the plastic.

Just so you are aware, the Norden fork guards you list on the website as a replacement for the Desert X guards are basically unobtanium right now. Even my KTM/Husky dealer couldn't order them for me. Finally found a set at AOMC, but they are running out fast. It would be great if you can recommend an easier to source option for the guards to go along with this kit. Fender was no problem. Also, while I understand that the fender is a difficult proposition to source and ship as part of the kit due to pricing and shipping costs, the fork guards are a different matter. Those should be custom made for the kit and included in it, not something that needs to be purchased separately from a high-cost supplier and then further modified for this application. That's not a corner that should have been cut here, IMO.

100% agree with your comments and very disappointed to hear the fork guards are not available. I received my kit today and was dumbfounded to see that the forks guards weren’t included!! As you said, it was one thing to have the fender not included for the reasons they mention; however, not producing specific fork guards for this kit and not including them with the kit at this price point is unacceptable IMO. Also, I just did a search and seeing the fork guards are another $100!!

These comments from @newenglandscrambler2262 and @robertmontefusco1902 is precisely why I will not be ordering this kit. Even with an alternative option (one that you can find with a quick search) at almost double the price, I’d rather pay it than deal with the headaches of sourcing, waiting, potential inventory/supply chain issues, etc.
Massive fumble IMO. Seems lazy by Camel.

there are a lot of european resellers by now. I got my kit yesterday and just installed it. Amazing.
they also include there own made forkgaurds now,
