And no matter how many years passes, more than half of the public will revile them so I think this is her way of doing damage control and gain support. Will it work? Not necessarily, but she's trying.

I disagree - this is wayyyy too black and white. The institution of royalty, who insisted and forced Charles into an arranged marriage with a 20 year old virgin he’d met 13 times prior to the wedding day, ruined Diana’s life. And arguably Charles’, too. He was forced into a situation he felt he couldn’t get out of - he was expected to provide an heir and do his duty, and for some bizarre reason, it had to be a virgin (hence the young age). It didn’t help that they had zero in common & Diana was immature for her age. It’s a very sad story all round.
Also, why is it the woman’s fault? If anyone is responsible, it’s Charles. Camilla was in a marriage where her husband was a serial cheater. Diana also slept with married men - did she ruin the life of the wives in question? No, because it’s the husband’s responsibility to keep his pants on!

He only married Diana because she was young and “pure” at the time. He was originally trying to marry Camilla but she wasn’t a virgin & the firm didn’t approve of her. After he was denied to pursue any further courtship with Camilla he was willing to marry anyone at that point so that he can fulfill his royal duty as the next King of England (get married, have heirs).

She, along with her husband, has hurt an innocent young woman.
Believe me, the public's opinion has not changed. She is still a sidechick. Only the Media’s perception has changed and possibly because it was bought.
She seems like a warm motherly person tbh. It’s not Charles fault he couldn’t fall in love with Diana. We don’t decide these things, or who we fall in love with or have electricity with. He was effectively banned from marrying the one he did love and she married someone else. So he got on with it, the affair was wrong but he’s feelings must have got the better of him. Forcing him to fall in love with Diana was the mistake.
Finally a woman with some sense. Everyone else seems to be caught up in their feelings. He never loved Diana like he loves Camilla. Should he have stayed miserable in a marriage to someone he wasn't in love with? As lovely as Diana was, the chemistry needed to sustain that marriage just wasn't there. Ppl should be with who they love, and where the love is reciprocated. Just like Harry. He had all those other young ladies who other ppl thought were better for him, but he did not feel that way. He chose the one with whom he found the love and chemistry he was looking for. People need to get over it and worry about their own lives.

The fact remains that Charles was not a suitable husband for Diana and Diana was not a suitable wife for Charles. She was much younger than him, they both had different interests and I believe they only met about 12 times before they were engaged. Charles’ reply to a question about love “Whatever love means” was a dead giveaway to the fact that Diana was not the woman he really loved. He should have married Camilla in the first place and if that had happened Diana would still have been alive in all probability and would have married someone else more suitable for her. She would have remained unknown to the public and been able to live a life without the constant intrusion of the media, a factor that greatly contributed to the accident that killed her. She would have been a much happier person without marrying into the Royal Family.
But we would not have William and his kids who are all adorable. The fair thing would have been to deprive Charles from the throne let alone Camilla.

Diana was not at all suited to Royal life! She was not a good wife to Charles! And she did not love him!
Camilla had been a loving and supportive wife to Charles for nearly 20 years!

I only give her credit for her persistency. The marriage break-up was not entirely her fault. To her credit she did push him to marry Diana, hence Willie & Harry.
