    I have been using this sample set ever since. Peter Grabowski made it available. It is a wonderful sample set. However, I think I prefer the Giubiasco sample set, which is also free. It is much smaller and has fewer resources, but it seems clearer and easier to practice on. I do love them both. Thank you for this video.

    Paul, I’ve watched you since you were much younger. You are an absolute star.
    One thing I’ve wondered is about the pedals. Some times you were socks others shoes.
    I thought you wear socks when playing an antique to save wear on the pedals. But then I see you playing modern organs in shoes. What is your reasoning
    I so love how far you have come. ❤️

    I really like this organ, I use that quite a bit of GrandOrgue. You can still get the best use out of it with only one keyboard like I do.
    I also laughed when you said "Die Posaune Sechzehn as we say in Germany"
    And is Kassel Niederzwehren coming soon, as I originally recommended it

    I do love it when I see someone young pedaling in socks. I did that often when I was young if it was a matter of convenience at the moment. But both of my teachers raged against it. So while organ shoes have been standard for me for decades now, on some older instruments I just feel the need to go with socks so I can really feel more of what’s happening in the machine.

    • @vittoriobacchiega9118

      There are several advantages and problems to use only socks when pedalling.
      Sensibility is improved when touch the keys with toe but there are problems when use the heels.
      Another problem it is the insertion of sharp key between the 1st toe finger ( alluce) and 2nd into fast passageses.
      Into my home study i use shoes with romantic authors and winter season😂

    • @PaulFey
      @PaulFey  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vittoriobacchiega9118 Yup yup 😂 For Bachs music playing without shoes is totally fine, you are using the toes most of the time anyway. The more romantic it gets the more important the shoes get 😀

    Your demonstration is excellent !!!!
    You spend more time with each voice, which allows the listener to
    sabor, relish, the personality, the "world" of each Stop. The melodic and harmonic patterns you chose for each voice were so appropriate for the specific Stop.
    Exploring, discovering, the great diversity of Organs throughout Europe has been an exciting new experience.
    Please, bring us more of these wonderful explorations.

    Friesach is a great instrument if you have a simple 2 manual setup and want something a bit more adventurous. The Solo stops can easily be pulled down onto Swell and Great using couplers and just used as extensions of these divisions. Fantastic tutti effect.

    A couple of questions if you don't mind? What are the computer requirements for this free version on Grand Orgue -Eisenbarth. Reason I I ask is my laptop runs the two free Pitea and Demo V1 organs ok, but runs out of memory / disk speed I think for the Eisenbarth. Also, is it possible to rearrange the stops to 2 x 3 columns and how would I go about this? (so they are arranged more like the Pitea Console Stops). Kind regards, alex

    • @PaulFey
      @PaulFey  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Alex, the Eisnbarth is free so why dont you just give it a try - thats better than guessing 😀 Rearranging the stops will most likely not work since they are set by the producer of the set. There is a left/right stop-view though I think!

    I discovered this magnificent sample set on Grand Orgue, and it is one of my favorites on that platform.
    I have Grand Orgue because I am not an organist but I love playing with the beautiful sounds of pipe organs. Grand Orgue is free, so it is possible to do this, whereas I could not justify the expense of Haupwerk (I am sure it is worth the money -- if you are an organist) for what is essentially a hobby.
    As you so brilliantly demonstrated in your video, the sound is spectacular and yet also has some tenderness and sweetness in addition to the powerful full organ. Your demos are really instructive and fun to hear.
    The Grand Orgue version is a little tricky to get loaded, (Piotr has detailed instructions on how to get it going on the website) and it is huge, so I have it cached (reduced load times dramatically).
    It is a free sample set, which is amazing for the brilliant quality of sound!
    Another Grand Orgue sample set that is spectacular is "Pitea School of Music"
    Love your videos and I think it is wonderful that you demo all these fine and beautiful instruments. Thank you so very much!

    How many penguins do you see in this video?!

      I should make it a competition to count the penguins - winner gets penguin socks to improve pedal playing 😂
