This song just won't leave my head. It's classic Ryan Adams, simple and affective.
Now THAT is channeling some vintage Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. That organ is total Vintage Heartbreaker stuff. I can totally hear Tom snarling through that "Gimme something good" too.
Benmont Tench is part of Ryan Adams' touring band, I guess he's on the record as well.

I love this video. The song is so catchy it's like infected my brain, random notes or lyrics pop in my head through out the day. The look of the old grainy vhs, Elvira (and we had her movie on vhs). It's just one of those macabre perfect gems.

Drove my gf bonkers playing this video, played it 3,4,5 times ,"Note to Self" also great song of his. I think he's probably the last musician i remember going into an actual record store to buy. That could of been 2003 at that store on Prince st NYC,anyone remember that place? The guy working there I remember looked like he thought he was Adams. He gave me this "you've never heard of Whiskytown" attitude. No ,American radio plays the same Elton John and Queen and Gaga songs repeatedly forever! I hope this guy changes all that!
