    *Not shown in the video: Disassembly*
    When I took it apart and put a finger to the side railings, there was *definitely* an oil there.
    I also re-lubed the thing, and the metallic "ting" noise I mentioned at 04:47 is *still there.*
    So it definitely isn't something dry. However, like I said, put 'em in a board and it's basically gone.

    i built my keyboard 2 years ago and got the regular milky yellows. I lubed them with 205 grade 0 and the scratchiness still didn't go away.
    The pros sound so good and the scratchiness is gone so I will probably end up switching out my regular milky yellows for the pros.

    If i buy milky yellows and lube them with krytox would that be the same result as milky pro yellows with krytox or do they have other internal differences?

    • @toufusoup
      @toufusoup  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I wouldn’t be able to tell you, I don’t own Krytox. However, I’d say you’d probably have more control on the amount of lube you have in your switch

    I just got a bunch of milky yellows, non-pro. The spring ping is horrific lol. I'm gonna have to get in there with some krytox.

    You think those full milky pro are better than full black?

    Do Gateron Pro Milky Yellow switches have interference for Northfacing LEDs on Cherry MX keycaps?

  • @javierper3z

    Do you think these need to be filmed? Cause I’m planning a full size keyboard and I don’t know if my spirit is strong enough to lube and film 110+ switches; these would be awesome if they are, in fact, plug and play

    • @toufusoup
      @toufusoup  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they’ll be fine if you don’t film.

    May I have a quick question: If someone put these 2 in front of me: Milky Yellow & Pro Milky Yellow, how could I differentiate between them? Can you show me how?

    • @toufusoup
      @toufusoup  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’ll all be on feel if you’re talking about stock switches. You’d know which one would be the Pro version when you press it.

      @@toufusoup Thanks for the reply. This is more about the case if I buy some from soneone and I never use this switch before, how to tell they sell me the Pro or non-Pro :).
      That's why I am wondering if you have any insight on this.

    • @toufusoup
      @toufusoup  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you are buying from another person in the community rather than from a distributor, if the seller doesn’t say they are lubed, they probably are selling you stock standard milky yellows. You should ask before you buy lol
      Pro milky yellow switches are basically made so that a person can skip the hassle of lubricating a switch.

    is it still necessary to lube them with kryotox or is the factory lube good enough?

    • @toufusoup
      @toufusoup  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Personally I didn't lube them after using them stock but if you have a preferred lube or if you want more consistency from knowing that you did it yourself, then go for your own lube.

    does the wobble on the milky pros bother you

    • @toufusoup
      @toufusoup  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I never really got bothered by any form of wobble at all so personally, no. I see people point it out a lot but I never really found it to affect much of my switch enjoyment

    • @jm036
      @jm036 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the wobble on mx blues and outemu blues didn't bother me, they were fine
      but the wobble on outemu blacks was god awful, some of them would also bind, I should get some ktt roses for the board which those were in, ktt switches are really underrated
