I think this might finally be the start of a new generation of readers. Hopefully we will soon see a new Kindle Oasis, Kobo Libra 3/ Tolino Vision 7 with an E Ink Carta 1300 screen.
And what about other manufacturers?
This is exactly what im looking for except it doesnt have Google Play... At this price point, Google Play is a must... Hoping Onyx or Bigme gets goong on the Carta 1300/10.3" bus soon
Does the improvement in contrast on the Carta 1300 mean there is more details in terms of shades of grey when for example reading manga? Like being able to notice shadows in clothes, or not having the clouds, which are very light gray, burnt and invisible on the sky. That's something I don't see anyone talking about and something I would love if you guys could tell in your next video
Also interested in this, if it just gets blacker or the contrast is improved overall
Same question. My number one problem reading manga on e-ink is that I end up missing a lot of stuff in the background, or don't notice certain things (like white fire in the gray smoke), etc.
Probably gonna have to wait for 600dpi for proper gray

I'm so pleased to see how good this device works and looks not just for iReader that means that this technology is evolving just imagine what we will be able to see in a few years more, it won't be any difference with paper 😮

Yes perhaps. But currently 1,300 is not employed in any other device outside of this one
I've been waiting for a new carta display technology. I hope we see it on an A4 size soon. That would be awesome to read manga on with two pages visible.
You can install apps by putting the installation package in the root folder. But better just some simple ones.
It doesn't have an amber light?
Does it have a 256 gradient mode?

Hi, I wanted to ask. Is there any reader like Pocketbook 741 Inkpad Colour but with Google Play store? It does not need to have colours but I need the size around 7.5 inches. I wanted to add that I am in Europe.

Why not put a Carta 1200 beside it for comparison? Saying that it's miraculous doesn't do much, as you would have said the same for the 1200. We want facts, not opinions.
