    The 152 gram rule is insane. Nobody knows why it was really ever a rule

    Fantastic coverage and the commentary is state of the art. I only wish there were more rounds from the tournament.

    Disc golf is one of the most addicting IRL games I've ever played. If you've never played, find you nearest course and get out there!

    When I introduce people to disc golf, this is the video I pull up on my 65" Samsung. The course looks just beautiful in HD and the filming/commentary is great.

    Love the commentary and the quality. Only thing that could make it better is having another angle of the shots.

    Tester putt with death behind, a 4 digit separator... Good stuff man, quality commentary and world class insight. Not to mention beautiful course, top players and great golf. Well done!

    WOW! Terrific coverage - thank you so much guys! What a great and tough course, with extraordinary play. Well done.Only one thing was less than perfect: the score page needs to display the following columns of information: Score for round (under or over). Score for hole (under or over), Total for Competition (Under or Over), and Player Movement during hole (up arrow or down arrow).
    Without that information, the scoring screen is weak, and doesn't help us much.

    Great coverage! " That's a death putt ", Every time I would release the disc from my hand on those courses would be death. It's incredible they can card the scores they do. And was great to see Ken " The Champ " Climo do so well, dude still has mad skills.
    Can't wait for Part 2

      To be truthful, while some other disc golf production companies are dedicated to tournament coverage, that is only a part of our model. This year we bring you final rounds from big events, and spend the time creating other content during the opening rounds so as to give you a unique perspective that you won't find anywhere else. The weather won't stop us though, from bringing you those dramatic finishes and awesome comebacks!

    I think the sand traps being OB is kinda stupid. play it from the sand. The sand takes away some of your footing and is more difficult to shoot. Having to shoot from the sand is a penalty in itself and I think more fun instead of just taking a drop.

    • @JamesThomas-zv8ej
      @JamesThomas-zv8ej 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joseph Garvey Discs must be weighed and stamped as legal for the tournament before the first round. Nobody would risk getting caught with an overweight disc...and it would be obvious in the way it reacted so not really possible to cheat that way. The Japan Open has always had a weight maximum on discs.

    • @JamesThomas-zv8ej
      @JamesThomas-zv8ej 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Not exactly. See my reply above. It was because they were in a urban park before moving it to this location.

    • @mrdrock
      @mrdrock 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Japan put in safety regulations on disc golf discs that sets the max weight at no more than 152g. For the Japan Open though they allow up to 159.9g.

  • @krippkillaa

    They have to use 150 to 159 in japan because of the population and danger to people from what I remember.

    • @JamesThomas-zv8ej
      @JamesThomas-zv8ej 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's more tradition now, as before the tournament was in a park in a large metro area (I believe Tokyo but I could be wrong). The 150-class restriction actually used to be 152g, and since has been upped to 159.9.

    • @mrdrock
      @mrdrock 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The country has a law on the max weight of disc golf discs. It is actually set at no more than 152g, but the Japan Open lets them go up to 159.9g.

    This would have been so much more enjoyable if it was held at a Disc Golf Course, not a ball golf course with sand traps.
    No more artificial out-of-bounds sand traps, please. Unless you like chain a pitt bull in the middle... or such.
