    Dear Listener
    We plan to make about 5 monthly updates for membership.
    We plan to distribute content from each school, such as Uechi-ryu and Shorin-ryu, but for the time being, we will release content centered on Goju-ryu.
    Currently, we are starting with the most basic, but essential technique, Stance.
    Each of the basic techniques is filled with the essence that you couldn't learn before.
    We will do our best to deliver the content.
    Thank you for your support.

      Not much for Shotokan in Okinawa. Not a very popular style there as it's mostly referred to as karates bastard son. Not talking smack as I'm a sandan in Shotokan as well as Matsubayashi Ryu it's just a fact that Shotokan is not considered much more than a sport to most.

I always loved what Soke Hatsumi Masaaki said, in true budo there is no trophies or hopes to be rich. There is no competition in developing yourself, and in self defense surviving is your reward. Just my thought on your advert.

    • @oldschoolkarate-5o
      @oldschoolkarate-5o 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My Sensei fought full contact and became a champion, we would respect the budo ways , while at the same time exploring the spontaneous nature of free fighting in competition as another way to explore karate. His name was Guy Kurose look it up. The old Okinawan masters many of them would fight and test there skills in the red light district , you can call that competition at full contact , no rules . I respect your opinion and understand where your coming from . Peace my friend

    Sounds like darth vader has been doing sanchin the whole time. Just kidding.
    On a more serious note, I'm worried that it would be hard to learn properly by watching videos online.
    1.) It's not easy to copy movements, especially if you are a beginner. In your mind, you think you are copying the movements correctly, but your body doesn't follow.
    2.) There will be no one to correct your movements. Even if you try your best and train everyday, if no one is there to catch your mistakes, you will be doing the wrong movement and it becomes a habit. Habits are very hard to correct.
    3.) Motivation. When you are in a dojo, with your sensei and your classmates the "martial spirit" fills you up and you feel motivated because there are people doing it with you. Alone, it is hard to motivate yourself to start and to end.
    Would be nice to live in Okinawa and practice :)
