I do it simpler and I believe it is also cheaper... I cover the car with a plastic bag, put the paper on top and apply a mixture of water and white glue, common... after drying it is already hard, not as much as this one with superglue, but enough to later paint and hold the shape.

Interesting. Smaller than the scales I'm accustomed to (1/24, 1/35, 1/87), but I suppose it's the same, basically.
It would take a lot of SuperGlue to do a 1/24 car so I'm experimenting with wood glue thinned with water. It takes a little longer to dry and is a little more fragile, but it takes weathering powders and stains well.
