I grew on my chicken pen fence last year. Watered them when I watered my flock. They did really good. Shaded my girls all summer long. I had them most of the winter used part in soups and such and the girls helped to get them eaten by spring. Triple duty! Did not do that in time this year. Maybe next spring.
So smart!
Cattle panel arches are a thinner gauge but look awesome covered in sweet pea flowers. (which also produce edible peas)
Then later the arches were repurposed for gourds.
Thank you very much for sharing. Just gorgeous. What a beautiful pumpkin arch. Their fruits are just the look of a delicious sweet yum yum soup or any recipe you can think of. This will be my next project. ♥️
Thank you for watching! Yess the soups I've made are delicious. I did a roasted pumpkin + tomato one last week. Have fun!!
Thank you! ❤
@@edivaughan1746 yes! Soups and muffins on repeat 😍
I enjoyed watching your video! I found you on Instagram and I’m so glad that I did! You are so much fun!!
I especially enjoyed and appreciated all the work you put into this! The editing and everything was very professional, the whole project! From planting starts to harvesting, to your great advice to just straight sow the seeds! The cosmos and zinnias were a perfect addition and I even enjoyed the purple beans. Don’t give up on them, maybe they just weren’t a suitable companion plant. My kids love green beans! Thank you for a great video - I wish I lived nearby to you!
Thank you so much for this feedback and the kind words!!❤️❤️
@@RestlessPilgrim thank you so much for this message ❤️❤️❤️ see you on the gram

This is a great idea. I think we'll give it a try. Your is beautiful! Thank you!
Wonderful! Thank you for the comment. Please let me know how it goes next year. Always happy to help! Tasha
Wow this is neat! I will definitely give it a try!
So fun !
That's really cool I love it
Thanks! So neat
Absolutely beautiful! Can you tell me where you got the hog panels?
Our local tractor supply store- a 16 ft one is best
Awesome, great job, love it!. Can wait to make mine!
Thanks!!! Enjoy it!
It’s beautiful
Thank you! It was fun and pretty to look at
Is there a link you could share to buy the cattle Panel (With gauge and dimensions etc)?
You have to pick them up at a farm supply store. You'll definitely need a pick up truck and some strong zip ties and straps. Paw paw ridge channel has a bideo on how to load it onto a truck.
Wow wow
Can you hrow different types of pumpkin in same soil/arch? What about butternut squash or acorn squash? Can they grow with pumpkins?
Thank you for this video! How many feet of cattle fencing did you use for each arch?
16 feet
I'm doing this with pie pumpkins and honeynut squashes. I pruned each plant to one leader and also have beans growing with them. Hopefully they will have a little more light exposure. I'm hoping it's half as beautiful as yours!
That is awesome! I can't wait to hear how it goes!! Yes I wish I gave my beans more light as the pumpkins took over in the arch. Enjoy!
@@thepurposefulyou who needs beans when your pumpkin arch turned out so epic!!
@@DebRoo11 right!!
Ok, so plant the. In may or June?
Where are you located ? 🤔😏
So this year is mine and my wife’s first pumpkin arch. We did ours as an entrance to our garden out of left over cattle panel 😧 but it is smaller and we are doing smaller pumpkins. But my wife literally just threw a bunch of seeds at the base of the arch and they just exploded out of the ground
Wahoo so happy it worked and enjoy!!
We have freezing weather in Canada until around june 10th so... Means I can't plant outside before that, right?
Yes! They need warm weather. I'm in Victoria BC so our last frost date is April 15. Yours may be mid to end of June. Start indoors and be ready to plant outside July or when overnight temperatures are 10degrees or higher
I'm in Ontario, we have enough time to grow pumpkins 👍🏼 Start them indoors and pot up. Don't let them get root bound, it will stunt their growth for the whole season
Plus , What variety of Pumpkins are you planting ?😏😏
moranga :)
Have you ever had a problem with squash beetles?
Not yet!
Honest question, why are you buying seeds?! 🤓
