I really wish there was a ... class/workshop/store - anything - that you could go to and smell individual notes. Like - I don't know what "iris" smells like. I don't know what "vetiver" smells like. I want to pick up a bottle and smell it and then smell another and go, "Oh! That's the difference between Turkish and Bulgarian rose." I think it would be so helpful in breaking down the notes so you could have an idea if you might like something or not! Sometimes fragrances are intimidating.
That’s an interesting idea! I know iris is equally powdery and light floral (more like rose than something heavy like gardenia). I’m with you on the smell testing. Although I may know what a note might smell like, it’s how much of each note compared to the others that matters. I think your idea is brilliant! 🌸
Honestly I tried so hard but I can’t get behind dossier. 😢 they are so harsh and cheap smelling when first sprayed and they just don’t have staying power at all. And my husband and I have each tried 3 different scents from them.
Idk if anyone needs to hear this but im from an asian country in southeast asia where its crazy crazy hot and bianco latte still got me compliments. I know it isnt the “freshest” gourmand out there but it still hits 😂❤❤❤
@@ironw0lves fresh citrus scents always get noticed. Another personal fave is vibrato also unisex. I know ariana’s vanilla mod and scents from diptyque is also pretty popular here. Also baccarat and penhaligons. However since it is so hot in here most people i know who arent into fragrances are pretty satisfied with body mists
Commodity Gold (personal version!!) is one of my favorites right now. I pretty much just get vanilla and iso e super, which are my favorite notes. I think it’s great for any time of year- light enough for summer, and cozy enough for winter
The old now discontinued nest mists (I had ocean mist and coconut water - so good) had the performance of some edps. Hopefully new ones are too but it seems over time companies cheapen things.

We need things stronger. Not weaker. And it takes a giant step backwards. I'm against EDTs too. If ur Gona buy an EDT than just buy a mist. They should just give us a strong EDP from the get go. Not an elixir or intense etc. Bc I find they are still not long lasting. I miss the days of the 90s. When everything was an EDP and strong from the gate.

Happy Dust will get stronger- always FEELS soft- but performance/longevity will develop- one of my most complimented scents! Was legit approached by stranger in the parking lot at the grocery store!
I love Kayali’s Vanilla Coco - haven’t thought to layer it with sunny side up (which I also love). Sounds like a match made in heaven. I have layered it with Gris Charnelle - it’s so unexpectedly good. And also layered it with Santal 33 - also love.

I’ve been really loving Donna born in Roma green extravaganza!! It’s a vanilla tea scent, lightly sweet and refreshing. It also layers SO well with happy dust😍 Also, 100% agree with your nette the vanille recommendation. Ive been waiting for someone to talk about The Vanille! I sprayed it on me one time about a week ago and i haven't been able to get it out of my head! Long lasting and sweeter as it dries down with a moderate projection from my one time wear!
I decluttered my Mod Vanilla. I do love the scent, but I hated the bottle so much that it was just not worth it to me. Awkward to hold and spray, and my sprayer did not work properly. Sometimes it worked, sometimes I had to push the spayer down dozens of times to get something out. It annoyed me so much that I ended up tossing it. Too bad, the scent was good.
I tried Mod bc I kept hearing it was yummy and nice and the notes sound right up my alley ,however,everytime I go to smell it I smell NOTHING. Its too light. I like stronger perfumes that's what I'm used too. Mod is like a body spray but I can't smell anything. And if it's that light upon first spray than it prolly has zero performance. I love cloud pink. But Mod is a pass for me.
I’m really loving Blanche Bete right now too. It lasts foreverrrrrrrrr but the coconut makes it feel summery. Diptyque Eau Duelle and missing person are also ones I’m grabbing

My favorite summer vanilla is Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee and I'm so sad I never bought a full bottle before it was too late. I have a one ounce bottle of it and I'm very precious about it but I would wear it so often if I had more of it.
My current favorite is lalique amethyst. It's a refreshing berry floral vanilla with a slight green note to me. I love it so much I just bought the elcat flanker version and my coworker bought the original after smelling it on me. From fragrance net is around $35

I definitely want to try the Nest Madagascar Vanilla body spray. I love the scent of the oil (the candle is amazing too), but I do not like using an oil or rollerball, I much prefer a spray. I placed an order for the travel size of Commodity Gold since so many ppl love it, but I have not received it yet. I can’t stop wearing the Ouai body mist, so I’m looking forward to smelling like it for the summer.
I had the same experience with Vanilla Vibes! I ended up loving the chlorine smell so I bought it but I recently found Clean Reserve Skin which smells even more like sweet vanilla chlorine to me and I think I like that one more. I'm trying to decide if I need two pool-scented vanilla perfumes lol. But might be worth checking out if you like that kind of scent!

I love Pacifica Island Vanilla in the summer, it’s still sweet but a touch tropical and floral so it’s not too much for the heat
