Hey Shana. Yes, I just layered different colors allowing each one to dry before applying the next. I used the medium to thicken it up.

You need a close up so we can see the detail. I am painting these on a wooden star for our elderly at church for Christmas.

Hi Kendra, I used a mix of house paint and artist paint for this piece. I used raw umber acrylic in a tube and the gold is my favorite from the Martha Stewart Acrylic Paint line. You can get both of those here www.amazon.com/shop/melissalewisart . Then I used White, Wythe Blue and Schoolboy Blue - all Valspar. I'd love to see your finished painting.
