Jane I have watched so many different teachers, you by far are the best instructor, from the smallest detail of how you wash your brush, to why you mix which medium with the paint, to the journey through graphic stock, to how you come to your idea! I have never been able to paint until, I watched your rainy window painting, you made it so easy! thank you so much for sharing your passion and your time!
Everything you do amazes me and each one is so different. You've got the perfect voice for teaching with the best attitude. Most of us are beginners and we appreciate you more than you can imagine.
I love all of the explanations you provide behind why and how you do things. Very few people do that and it can leave one wondering why our work looks s different from yours. Or, how you achieved a look that I want to duplicate. I learn a lot from you! So very much appreciated!
THANK YOU JANE!!! I hosted a paint night with 12 friends last night. We did your "Blue Christmas" tutorial. Half of the group had never painted before!! Was a blast. Thank you soooooooo much, I LOVE following you.
I find painting with you is so calming and relaxing. Painted your Zed Pond for a friend that just needed a little lift me up. She was so surprised made her cry. She loves it
Who give unlike???!! Pfff...people unbelievable! I am very curios, them how can painting?! You painting beautiful, and you are GREAT teacher! Very talented! Thank you , you share step by step panting lesson! I am your fun! 🙂
Awesome! Thank you for posting your painting technique and also for not having blaring music over your voice. Good balance in the audio and I'm grateful!
About two months ago I discovered this painting and fell in love with it. At the time we were in the process of moving into a new home. Could not paint it at the time but I kept it in the back of my mind. A couple of weeks ago, I watched it once again and did a test painting on a 6x8 multi medium paper using a black background, a white Posca Pen to make ornaments and chains, and different colors of glitter acrylic paints for the boca lights. I made a couple of mistakes but on the whole it turned out great. I just got a 12x16 canvas and making plans to buy a couple of different size Posca pens for different outline sizes. Thanks for showing us how to paint this beautiful work.
Ps love your instructions!! YOU are always clear and say exactly how to do each step PLUS your music is soft and low and your voice is easy to listen to when you describe each step and what you are using to accomplish it. Thanks for showing Graphics site.
Mother is 91. She saw the one similar to this tutorial that I painted. She thinks yellow and green will be pretty. Yellow and green it is. 1 week before Mother's day! Thank you for the tutorials. Anita
Brooke and I had a GREAT time painting along with this tutorial on Saturday morning. It is always fun to spend some quality daddy/daughter time painting. I finally had some time to sit and finish mine up tonight. Thank you for a great tutorial and being an art inspiration!
Gonna try this one tomorrow. I got my Mom and my son who live in different states to paint with me on ZOOM every Saturday. Thanks for being part of the fam, Jane. lol
I work with children and thought your video would be great to teach them. They can make Christmas cards:) Thank you for making these. I want the children to get a good feel for art

others are sponsored by graphic stock but you explained how you used their site the best. I rarely take offers from sponsors but I did this time. wow I love graphic stock!
Wow I really hope that Graphic Stock compensated well for this, usually marketing is only 30 seconds long in a youtube video. Also great sponsor as it is totally something we all can use. Keep painting you are doing great
Thank you so much, Duane! I did show a little more of them than I normally would, but I've really been wanting to show my process for awhile now. I can't use Pinterest or Google when I make a video, because I can't even show work if it's under copyright. They didn't request that I use the sight that much, lol. I'm glad you enjoyed it! GraphicStock is pretty awesome :)
your rainy window is a big hit and I think this one will be as big a hit as that one.The colors as unlimited for the holidays . Can not wait to painting is
I love your calming, beautiful no intimidating voice. You make it seem possible to accomplish. Thank you. I look forward to many other painting from you.
The only reason I don't do a lot of your paintings is because I am SLOW! I love every single bit of your work. This is beautiful.. you ROCK, and thank you so much. I will get to work on some of these eventually!
Cindy Chambers . I consider myself a slow painter, but I don't care. because of my age I think (66) and my back pains. But I made several Janes s tutorials (pause button) (thanks Jane!) and a japanese girl for my granddaughter and I was 6 days 4 hours a day or more, but I finished and she loves it. The most important part is enjoy and have fun.
Jane....What a spectacular painting! I will practice my swirls first to get the effect with the right brush. I can't wait to try this. I love watching your tutorials. You have a calming way of explaining everything in detail and NO distractions in the background!
Jane, you are such an angel. Thank you so much for showing your process to come up with a painting. That's so helpful! I always feel like I need to come up with an idea on my own so this was most helpful. And the painting is gorgeous and looks like the perfect way to Zen after a long day at work. Thank you so much for sharing.
You're so welcome! I'm glad the process was helpful to you and took a little of the mystery out of it. I know it can be challenging to start coming up with your own ideas
OH MY GOODNESS! WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?!?!?!?! Jane....this is a STUNNER! I want to skip class tomorrow just to paint. (I won't of course, because loud inner voice.) Holy wowzers!

Hi Jane, I must say I really enjoy your videos, the music in the background is perfect for these videos, you have such a nice calm voice as well... I like the fact that you explain how and why your doing it that way to get the effects that you get... I am going to give this one a go, that's a given ...Its time I toss this depression aside, after losing my sister and my sister in-law. . . rather feel guilty for living, Enough of that though, time to let the sun or (snow) hit me in the face and move forward. I really agree with Tina Sawhey, I would really enjoy learning how to do an angel by you !!! That would be just brilliant . . . will try and send you a pic. of Blue Christmas painting when I'm done, sure hope I can do it justice. Thank you ever so much for sharing your time and your talent with us all !!! God Bless you and yours . . .
Very pretty painting and I think you made a great choice in selecting GraphicStock as a sponsor. When I graduate from painting tutorials to designing my own paintings I will definitely get a subscription to that site. Thank you and have a great day!
Hi Jane! I was just browsing TH-cam for a (last minute!) Christmas painting idea and saw this and it looks so beautiful. I am going to go out today and get some supplies, so I can't wait to try it. I've never had a painting class and have only tried painting on canvas twice, (basically no clue what I'm doing) and I just realized one of those times was when I watched your tutorial of the Midnight Raven! I was so happy with how it turned out, and have to credit you for your amazing teaching skills--I couldn't believe that I could ever make something like that. You have such a helpful way of explaining how to use and clean brushes and tips about what strokes work best for you. So now I am even more excited to try this painting now that I know you've been my teacher before (haha). So thank you!! You are amazing.
Aaaw, Christina, that's so awesome! I'm so glad you tried that raven and loved him. I hope you love painting this one too, and I would love to see how it turns out!!
Thank you Jane. I had a blast doing this piece. Especially the chains with dots. You are an awesome teacher and I love your techniques. Thank you for sharing your expertise and please keep the tutorials coming!
This is my most favorite one you've done, though I love them all. This painting would look beautiful in anyone's home for the holidays and it is. Completely different from the others I have seen. They all seem to lead. Towards Whimsical and cute. Thanks again for all of your help.
My favorite teacher!!! I love your ability to make me feel like I can actually pull off painting one of your paintings! I love your teaching style and find you incredibly easy to follow. I can't wait to try this beautiful painting!
you know i think your freaking awesome and i love watching your videos i think your an amazing artist and truly appreciate your videos. you tube is the only way i can get art lessons and i love getting them from you. i thought after watching all your videos for so long amd never leaving a comment i should. what you and all the other artist do for us people is amazing here on youtube. love watching the art videos.
Merry Christmas, Jane. Thank you for this pretty painting. I always enjoy your work and your voice is calming. I've just painted this gorgeous picture today, my first painting and I'm in love! I found the hardest part was getting the little dots consistent but its not too bad for a first go haha! Thank you Jane!
Hi Jane, I painted the blue Christmas on 14"x16" canvas sheet. it came out good but nothing close to yours. I am glad I tried. I am from India. Thanx for motivating me.
O WOW how you can go directly over the same spot is amazing. I just love these. I'm going to try to make these. Could you make a Santa that is wearing a silver blue coat? I'd love to see how you would do that.
Thank you so much jane! I did this tutorial painting and I loved it!! 💕 I love the way you used these different techniques to make it a soft glowing lights and see through ornaments! Just amazing!
Thank you, Maureen!! Yeah, I should do a summer Christmas painting for my friends down under. Hope you weren't impacted by that crazy earthquake too bad! I've been thinking about everyone in your country
Jane, I was so excited to get started after I got home from work this morning that I accidentally grabbed the ultramarine blue so guess one of mine will be more of a purple Christmas. I was so nervous watching you do the detail I almost fell off my chair! I'm scared to death of that part! LOL But it is soooo pretty! I'll just hear your voice in my head saying "it's OK"
Really love this one, Jane, and it could be done in other colors, too. Gold would be pretty, wouldn't it? I've been cheating on painting with another craft but I think I'm going to have to do this one! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much Jane for this beautiful painting as well as all the other amazing tutorials you have shared with us. I wanted to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, all the best to you in 2017. I am looking forward to more awesome tutorials from you in the New Year!

Good evening Jane. Well, I completed 3 Canvas Acrylic Cards truly inspired by a beautiful painter and her name is Jane. I would love to send you the almost completed cards in a pic before I do the edit/voiceover. We are experiencing high winds that are taking down trees this evening. I lost my WiFi for an hour while downloading my work. hahahaha May I send you my email address to show you my work totally inspired once again by you Jane. My hubby loved the red version. smile My email is chromecarol@hotmail.com My Harley is a 1440 Pearl White/Black Softtail thus the "chrome" on my address. hahaha Thank you, Jane, for your diligence and kind instructional tutorials. Your Canadian friend, "Chrome" Carol. I will send the pics when you reply so I have a return email. I painted them on Canvas Pads I buy at an Art Supply Shop. Thanks Jane.

I think ultramarine would look wonderful! Don't be nervous, friend. You've got this

Thank you for this painting. So inspirational. I’m going to do this for above my fireplace. Love it. It’s just what I’m looking for.
Really love this one, Jane, and it could be done in other colors, too. Gold would be pretty, wouldn't it? I've been cheating on painting with another craft but I think I'm going to have to do this one! Thanks so much!
Yes, this would look amazing in ANY color!!! I can't wait to see what colors everyone comes up with

Good afternoon Jane. This is absolutely breathtaking. I love the way you explain your work with us. I am going to try this technique making cards for Christmas. I will give you the credit of course when I post it. Thank you for the time you take to inspire your viewers. This is so relaxing to watch. Have a wonderfully creative week. Your friend from Canada. Smiles
Thank you so much, Carol! You're gonna have such beautiful cards 💛
