Just think about this. Dallas could've gone into this offseason FREE of Dak and McCarthy AND like a Top 3 pick. They'd have taken a major step to having a healthy salary cap again EVEN WITH CeeDee, Diggs & Parsons contracts on the books. They'd be able to go with a young first time HC and maybe he could've also found his QB at #3. Yes, we might suck for the next 3 or 4 years. But surely within those 3-4 years we would have these "homegrown" HC/QB duo that we can believe in and could be the next Reid/Mahomes, Bill/Brady, Walsh/Montana, Landry/Staubach....2 guys set on being the best for the next ten years. Hell, at this point I would settle for a Payton/Brees or a McVay/Stafford. For years, he talked endlessly about reevaluating Jason Garrett, and ultimately had to fire him, kicking and screaming, after 9.5 seasons. It's like his business approach is in a sludgy state of paralysis, an endless cycle of inertia and doing the "'same old, same old." Like his board meetings take place with him alone a room. Whatever made him a multi-millionaire before 1989, has been stale and ineffective for years now.
