Chad I like how you used the tape to do the cuts on the windshield molding. It really simplifies the measuring, it is so hard to get a tape measure lined up perfectly, especially on certain surfaces. I can measure so carefully and still end up off with the measurements. Jolene that was a great idea getting Chad to work off a list, I see a lot of speed shops doing that as well when they are doing an engine swap or building a race car. Also, with me a list keeps me motivated to get a project done because, I want to get the list out of the way. Great work both of you, I think you make a great team together!

Love the blacks! But Jolene! Your boy needed some ironing! Chad, you didn't even wash those before wearing. Right out of the package. Love it.

I think for me this build had the most continuity. I understand that Chad does what he wants but skipping around made me loose interest. I have been away from the show but the last couple of episodes has me back. I like and comment and really enjoy the “live chat” that goes on. As a vw restorer (busses mainly) I like his skill set and imagination on all the builds. I like fundamental stuff. I’m impressed with the stylings of the cars. I’ll keep watching for now.

what would definitely help make the door look more authentic is to on the Top of your door that the window screws up to. That designed grove that surrounds the window and makes the window look like it steps in, fill the last inch or two of that grove up with weld and then grind it flat instead of allowing it to go right to the corner of the window because with the drip edge sloping down it doesn't match the drip edge. And it driving me nuts. Can you see what I mean. I wish I could describe it better.

You are correct about the using a tape measure. That’s where the saying goes measure twice cut once. Well with using the masking tape to chop you just have to use the same to cut everything else, done, finished and move on. I’ll remember that always, thanks Chad

The drip rail was like that to drain the water to the front it's like a gutter system starts all on one side and you work your way down short on the other but now the car is leaning more to the back with the Chop Top so yeah pounding it down didn't make it look better I was going to say something but like you said it's your car it's how you want to do it
