Good video, but the example at 34:53 with the house cost at 150k, isn't a 2k rent too high for the price of that property? Wouldn't people just prefer to buy it as opposed to renting it?

Here in BC, Canada, the insurance companies say they need to increase rates by somewhere between 50% - 300% (depending on the building/maintenance/etc) - That is going to impact a lot of condo owners

I currently own my home which is paid off...needs about 50K upgrades..whether I sell or rent...my husband and I just bought a home closer to where he works (so we can ditch cars and save insurance)...the new home also has a basement suite...I was thinking of selling my current home to pay off the new one...then build equity in the new home and keep an eye out in the new neighborhood for another investment in the future...so which should I do? Sell current or just keep renting?
I have a rental property that paying $2550 a month but my mortgage+property tax+ insurance is $2800 for 15 years mortgage. I couldn’t rent it out higher than $2550. I had to go down from $2900 rental to $2550 to get a tenant for it. I am counting on the increase value of the house and paying it off early. Is that a good investment strategy?
No they are different. I have a small series of 4 min. videos that explain how to value income producing real estate. NOI, T12 & Rent Roll, Cash on Cash, Cash Flow and CAP Rate all explained and then a longer 20 min. video that ties it all together. Mike
What is a good time to start real estate? I'm thinking about doing it at 18(I'm 17 at the moment.) I plan to buy a house then live there for a couple months and get a job then work on the house at the same time. Then after a couple months once I think the house is good enough then I will rent the house out and that will be passive income so that I can work on some of my Business Idea's.
