- Coming to you a day early due to the long weekend, this week Fogerty's Factory performs Arlo Guthrie's version of "City Of New Orleans" ( written by Steve Goodman) live from the farm! 'Good morning, America, how are you?' Now that is an important question. You all take care of yourselves.
COSMO'S FACTORY/FOGERTY'S FACTORY
While self-quarantining together the Fogerty Family recreated the cover of Cosmo’s Factory transforming it to Fogerty’s Factory. The family have also taken to their home studio during this isolation to create some music together, The Family Band.
“Bringing a little light from our home to yours. We are having a little family fun together during the pandemic. It's such a great feeling to be making and playin' music surrounded by love. We all need to celebrate the life we have and remember how precious it is. I love music, I am listening every day. Makes everything feel better for me. Put the records on, pull out the old guitar, turn the radio up.. and dance to the music!” - John Fogerty
While the Quarantine continues the Fogerty Family - Shane and Tyler (Hearty Har) and Kelsy - will be joining their Dad for some musical fun covering songs from the classic Fogerty collection.
Another Fogerty, Bob Fogerty who took the original album cover, came in to shoot the re-make. Released in 1970 Cosmo's Factory turns 50 in July and Fogerty's 50 Year Trip continues!

Hey Truro and Annapolis Valley, Windsor native here now living in Halifax. What a great cover of this song. Cheers!
I was born in 1969 and grew up with John Fogerty. There has not been a day in my life when his voice has not been heard. He is the "soundtrack" to my entire life and I thank him all the time. What a wonderful gift he has given me all these 50 years.

Thank you. Always a beautiful song, no matter who performs it. A wonderful reminder of the legacy of Steve Goodman, R.I.P. Best wishes to the Fogertys and all their viewers, from Australia.
I'm glad someone gave Steve Goodman the credit for this song. Very much a forgotten hero.
Still an amazing singer never give up John! What a great looking family!
Love, love, love it. Especially at 2:25 “wheels rumbling neath the floor” and the donkey snotted. Perfect!
and the band played on... like nuthin happened!
@@randyborst7517 Well the daughter did suppress a laugh. And the donkey snorted not snotted . That is gross.
This is such a great American song, Thank you Steve Goodman. Thank you John for remembering great folk music. You rock dude in many ways.
Grew up on CCR SO Many Memories of my youth What a Fantastic Family you Have John 🤩🙂👊🇨🇦
Pure music the way it should always be forever.
I have been saving all the quarantine performances I see to a playlist that I called Quarantine Jams. They have been a tremendous spirit lift. Not complaining but it seems most of them have been You and your family. Keep them coming. Gonna listen to this one again. 🙂
great idea, think I'll do that too. these sessions really lift me up.
Check out Grace Potter on Monday nights.. She's fabulous if you never heard her before. Last monday she did 2 hours !!
Man if that scenery isn't therapy just beautiful. Thanks for sharing your family with us just beautiful 😊 makes me smile 😊✌🌼❤from ohio
Thanks for your beautiful time towards me 😍😍😍😍
God bless and protect America's treasures ( you all!)
A great nation in whole its context..👍
I listen to John's music everyday, my mother introduced me to ccr and few other artists from the 60s to 80s when I was a young boy, now I listen to them everyday.
Love from Chennai, South India.
Mr. Goodman is smiling as he looks down. Imagine his buddy John enjoys it too.
I love the way he clearly enunciates every single word. You hardly get that from any artist these days. Every word with meaning? PRICELESS!!

Having a nice cold beer right now and enjoying this...
I have been thoroughly enjoying sitting down with the Fogerty's and having the days tune wash over me. Doing me a world of good right now. thank you!
God bless you and may you stay peaceful always.
@@ilovedylan3943 Thank you Pluto Girl..... I hope you are happy and at peace as well.... stay well.
You are still a planet in my world:)
John Fogerty is an American treasure. I'm so lucky to have grown up with his music. And now I see my grandson loving his music too, makes my heart feel good! Love seeing him jam with his kids.
Thank you for these family sessions keeping our spirits up during these days of lockdown.
Great rendition of a great song by John and crew. This ballad always takes my mind back to when our country and the world was a far much better place in which to live. We will never ever see that time and those days again.
Excellent! I've so appreciated these performances by the Fogerty family. John's voice sounds fantastic on this one, not straining to hit the notes he hit as a young man on the CCR material. God bless you all.
Just want to say that reading these comments after hearing this great song by the Fogarty family shows how much they are appreciated.
Everyone is wishing you well and blessing you and your family and damn don't you deserve it?
You guys are excellent and so are these people that wrote the comments 😁
I never thought about you singing Folk music, John, but you can do that, too! I'm sure that you can sing ANY music you want to! You're great as always! Thank you for making quarantine more bearable! God bless you and your family.

Beautiful, effortless, crystal-clear singing. Thanks to y'all.
Makes me feel like the world can be the kind of place we want it to be. 🎸 beautiful family ....bravo 👏
So thankful to see his children with him and enjoying. This is really special. LOVE! LOVE!

This is happiness !
How lucky are we to have this. Another great song for one of America's greatest musician's and his family. And what a beautiful setting. I loved it! Keep them coming!
Family blending with beautiful music lifts my spirits. Grateful for the Fogerty family bringing songs to my living room. God Bless you all!
Phillee-Columbus Ohio...Love You!
One of my all time favorite songs. I listen to Arlo's version almost every day.
My Grandfather was in France during WWI. My father; his son, was in WWII. Two uncles; one in Korean War, the youngest in Vietnam. My nephew retired a full Colonel in the USAF. They all survived. But not for the better. Your music is important to many. And I am one! Thank you John. Peace be with you and yours. Dan from Nebraska 🇺🇸 ❤ 💜💜💜💜
City of New Orleans stops 2 times a day across the street from my house in Effingham Il . I have ridden it several times to Chicago and back .
This is true America ... hes a national treasure ... keep the spirit alive
Ha! I was gonna say that!😄
John, I can't tell you how uplifting these videos are. Many thanks!
Love blessings and thanks to John and family This was so beautiful
That's the way to feel good - i see a happy family , i hear a good old song - thanks sooo much for this 😍🌞
I just read his book. You got to love the man for his perseverance and resilience. The best.
pure gold
Unreal. One of my all time favorite singers and musicians playing one of my all time favorite songs and he performed it like it was made for him. My day has been made!
Your voice, your music and the love within your family brings tears to my eyes!

This is awesome, and the setting is absolutely priceless! The donkeys, hay bails, and country setting is so spot on!!! Would love to join you guys. This is one of my favorite songs. Love the Highwaymen album, Willie, Waylan, Kris K, Johnny, Eddie Rabbit, and the rest!! Best ever! Bravo.
I love the fogerty familiy!
This recording could seriously be on the top 20s , such honest and genuinely talented performed.... No need for a million dollar production!
That’s the way John produced & arranged all the Creedence album’s! However, Fantasy failed to recognize John’s & the rest of the bands contributions.
Just a million dollar ranch.,
@@cockeyedoptimista oh yeah! Rather a music video set at a million dollar ranch with a couple of mules/donkeys than one rented Hollywood mansion, two custom Lambos (also rented), three Richard Mille's or some gold Rolex that they destroyed by covering in diamonds on each wrist (probably fakes or props), four half naked dancers/strippers with silicone botox tits and ass, five million dollars dropped from a heli, six million dollar budget, and a dumb ass dork-twat wrapped in Gucci, singing about coke, hookers and doing time... One of the very few lads who could sing about that with style and soul was the magnificent genius Steve Marriott. May he rest in peace... Bob Weir is another one.
WOW, THAT WAS DONE AS GOOD AS I HAVE EVER HEARD IT. Great Job Folks.
I am glad to see you, I have been listening to your songs since 1972 , when I was 16 years old. USSR (RUSSIA)
Steve Goodman wrote this right after he received his leukemia diagnosis. He wrote it on the train from Chicago to visit his wife's family. The name of the locomotive was "City of New Orleans."
Wow, 🤯 I always listen this son by the highwaymen singed by willie Nelson, this is a beautiful song
Guau..!!
HERMOSA canción que Bella historia.
GRACIAS por colaborar con este tema tan delicado y FANTÁSTICA..
SALUDOS cordiales desde Paraguay en la cuarentena..
I gave you a GREAT. BIG, HUMONGOUS "thumb's up" for your explanation of this song!!! I always wondered who wrote it. The explanation behind the song and why Steve Goodman wrote it was a terrific bonus! Thanks ever so much for your comment! I greatly appreciate it!
@@johnkoziol5558 - You're welcome. I'll include a link to Steve performing the song live. I read an article that said in this performance he had already started steroids to strengthen his cells for the forthcoming chemotherapy. He's a little puffy/chubby from the steroids. Still a great performance. Of course he passed in 1984. th-cam.com/video/2SfPyg-mGhU/w-d-xo.html
Just a small addition to your comment, mindeloman. CONO is the name of the whole Train, not just the power. Nowadays it’s Amtk 58/59. Still running (I think) between NOL-CHI.
And like others have said- this is the best Cover of Steve’s famous song that I’ve ever heard. 👍🏼
God bless you John and family....i herard you since my 5 years old...i am 57.
Como e bom poder curtir uma musica de qualidade nesse ISOLAMENTO... LINDA FAMILIA....JOHN...i ♥♥♥ music ...!!
God bless you all for the caring and love. John you were never better.....love you.
I can´t understand the thumbs downs. JOHN AND FAMILY YOU ARE THE BEST
Not only is John Fogerty a great songwriter and musician, he also has respect for science..Right on john!
...the most refreshing doku soap since "The Osbournes" that I have seen. Thank you for sharing your leisure time with us. It's good to watch and hear such a relaxed family playing music together ... and the funny stories too. For me the most benefit of this strange time
Thanks John and beautiful family...your posts are always a ray of sunshine and joy on each blurry one of these days. AND, thanks for the so very many years of musical joy. Stay safe and healthy.
Steve Goodman must be proud in heaven to hear this cover,
Hope John and his family keep on jamming.
Rip uncle Bobby and uncle Louie they passed away way to soon ! Im playing these tunes for them also so they can listen and reminisce about the old days and this is a great way to do it and to pay tribute to them thank you John Fogerty and family Flippin awesome God Rest Their soul.
Steve Goodman would be proud that the Fogertys covered his song.
This song was originally written by a French signer named Joe Dassin. Nice song that tells quite different story though. The song is called "Salut les amoureux"
th-cam.com/video/SkEyV7_eNBs/w-d-xo.html
@@mariosabourin6965 As a Frenchman I only knew Dassin's song. But the original was indeed written by Goodman. It was exceedingly frequent in the 60's & 70's for French artists to cover (and translate) popular rock, country and even bossa nova hits.
I had it wrong. I thought it was Jerry Jeff Walker. It's a beautiful, poignant song.
@@mariosabourin6965 Very interesting!
@@mariosabourin6965 stop spreading false informations so confidently. dassin's version is a cover, he is not the writer
Thank you vary much ,this is one of my most favorite song’s,I used to listen to this as I was a trucking across America , I love you and your music, and now your family, praise Jesus amen for John Fogerty, thanks 😊 BigAl California.
What an entry! I knew today was going to be a good day! Thanks, John and Co
How cool that you are grateful to others for what they do good for you ☺️.
America , you can have so many faces, some ugly , some beautiful , but America you have always been open to talk about it . This stil makes USA arsenal of democracy in this world full of lies. America is all about social fabrics made by small towns and their inhabitants . Good morning America I love you !
So good on so many levels. A very moving song. Sung by an endlessly youthful voice. Brilliant sound for an outside performance. A man who tells a great story. A gorgeous family 'keeping the motor well oiled' until they can perform with an audience again
JOHN FOGERTY,. You can tell when a man has a great SOUL. He must be in his early 70s. And here his jammin' with millennials!! And they ALL sound dang good together!! May God bless you all....
Thank you John Fogerty and your family for what you have played .RIP Steve Goodman.
In these troubled times and turmoil it was so good to hear John still singing and playing
That was so reasuring like relaxing in a good old comfotable arm chair
Really sweet version of Steve Goodman's most well-known tune! Nice picking and it's a real blessing to make that wonderful music with your family.
Great American song. May the spirit of The American train lovers and all the hard workers be with you.Train people, the Men and the Woman of the rails, It is in our blood forever and we thank you for showing America the heartland and the real American who worked so hard to unite this country via the rail. Thank you friend.
I've always been a Creedence Clearwater Revival fan, Have You Ever Seen Rain? Is my favorite, I love watching you playing with your family during this time, hey, what scenery you have at your place, your kids are very cool and talented just like you, if you ever make another album or go on tour John Fogerty, you should include the kids in some or all of your next album or some of your shows, but never stop singing and playing, your very talented! 🎸🎤😎👍❤🍻
especially since the scenery includes donkeys havin' breakfast during the session. Love this vid
@@tomlederle1960 I'd like to see him do 'Bootleg' with this setting. Does he have a whole spread out there?
Thank you John and thank you kids for that beautiful song, I just close my eyes and I'm right there with you John, tapping my foot and slapping my hand against my thigh and just enjoying, thank you again and God bless.
