- South Florida born and Midwest hardened rock band Nonpoint bring you new music with the Alive and Kicking Quarantine Sessions. They’re putting a new spin on a fan favorite from their unstoppable record “To the Pain.” This time they redo it acoustic style and it’s actually been redone right from their homes as they practice social distancing through this Coronavirus pandemic here in the United States. America needs support from its artists to help us all emotionally and recording these play throughs from each member. Watch Elias Soriano on vocals in this episode struggle with gear, with lockdown and giving credit where credit is due. We’ve seen Robb Rivera on drums, Rasheed Thomas on rhythm guitar, Jason Zeilstra on lead guitar, Adam Woloszyn on bass, and Rob Ruccia on keys and strings in the last 4 episodes leading up to the release of Alive and Kicking “The Quarantine Session.” We maybe on lockdown, but that won’t stop the band from being there for their fans.

Said it many times...NONPOINT is one of the most underrated & undervalued bands of my time. Most energy of any band live I've ever seen (seen them live over a dozen times) and every album is packed with great songs. I play guitar and love learning all their songs and seeing how even though guitar styles have changed throughout the years with all the great talent they've had in the band the vocal style is always without a doubt NONPOINT!!!
Perfect song for the lock down were in....we are still Alive & Kicking!!!!
I agree they play every set like it's a sold out show they giving everything and more and still give time to meet there fans and signed stuff at the merch table met them many times was hooked when I seen them at a show in town that had maybe 30 people at it and they rocked it like it was Madison Square gardens and that was it I was a fan for life
Only ever seen them live once as an opener for stone sour&disturbed....that was enough to get me hooked for life.

I still remember receiving the demo for nonpoint outside of deep ellum live in Dallas after a drowning pool and Relative Ash show and I popped that sucka into my CD player and heard "The Tribute" and then "What a Day" and I ended up waiting in line for the full length album and I have been a huge fan ever since. Nonpoint=hardest working band in music.

Ricky Poulos I agree that he should live at least, because there’s certain songs they play live that Goldman did backing vocals on that Rasheed doesn’t, take “The Truth” or “Your Signs” for example
@@rickypoulos6631 Andy and Rasheed sing very differently. I think thats why he doesnt sing certain parts that Andy did. I dont know. But they both are/were very good at it.

This is great guys! ELIAS! I'm in awe of how smooth and solid your vocals still are. I've been a fan for 20 yrs... holy shit. My son is named after you and is only 13. I'm hoping and praying you guys are still touring when he is old enough to get in a show! On my bucket list. I've seen you guys over 30 times and you guys have made my life easier. When I was 19 I was so infatuated with you (Elias), we talked and chilled a bit after shows... I'd go home feeling crazy in love and heartache missing you and longing for next show. No regrets tho because no lines were ever crossed. Plus I have a self portrait tattoo of you(Elias), on my leg, which you have seen a couple times. I couldn't imagine how mad I'd be about my tattoo if for some reason I lost my passion or had pursued things that I wanted in those moments impulsively because I had no control around you. I lucked out some would say when you asked me to go backstage after the show and I stupidly replied "I'm only 20". You looked so sad and said "ahhhhhh noooo! For real?!" Then apologized right before a hug AND kiss. Man, you should've seen the poems/songs I wrote that following week!🤣
Anyways.. it's been quite a journey following you and Robb these past 20 years. It's been a few years since we've been in eachothers presence but it feels like yesterday in a way when I reminisce my favorite, most memorable show.
Wednesday Sept 29, 2004... You guys were in Clifton Park, NY at Northern Lights (now Upstate Concert Hall) then to Allentown, PA to play at the Crocodile Rock Cafe with Skindred. Great tour! The first night, we chatted for awhile after and I told you I would see you the next night. That next night I was right in the front of stage with NO gap/wall/barrier/security between us. You came out starting first song looking directly at me and came out and grabbed my hand and gave me the cutest smile. After awhile, but not long at all, you were standing over me/against me, dancing on me and oh my gawd...... That was when I wrote the poem, Ecstasy.
Eventually I got a grip, and your music was used to get through and cope with crappy relationships. I miss the energy from your shows. Hopefully we can carry on back to "normal" again and we can chat again at a show. Preferably in upstate new York haha.

You can just feel not only the emotion of this song but everything that they laid out every instrument, every vocal piece, how many times did they redo one piece to get from their fast pace to this beautiful, relaxing even, piece.
