Randall was tough as nails, and really had Chavez's number. He probably should have got the nod the 2nd time too. And that one Mexican judge that scored this fight for Chavez was a disgrace.

Chavez deserved to lose, especially after a couple of questionable endings. Taylor and Whitaker both fought better than him but couldn't get the win. I think the judges got tired of helping him out. They admitted they called the Whitiker fight a draw because they were afraid of a riot from the mexicans in the stands. Pernell schooled JCC all night. His record is very overrated.

The commentators had it Chavez, the analyst at the ring had it Chavez, the commentators around the world had it Chavez and the JUDGES had it Chavez. Whitakers mistake was not engaging more. Not really. Pernell Whitaker had already thoroughly whipped JCC's ass and won almost every round in an absolute robbery of a draw.

One of the saddest nights of my life. My name is also Julio Cesar (47) from Tijuana, Baja California. I was a 17 year old high school kid in 1994. I remember I had a very crappy personal experience at work that night as a bus boy in Las Vegas; that I will never forget. Tough life lesson. And only to come home to see the highlights very late at night on ESPN to learn that my tocayo and life long hero had not only lost, but hit the canvas for the first time EVER! Respect to Randall (R.I.P.) GOD bless his soul. it was his night no denying that. He fought brilliantly and bravely; going blow for blow with Julio Cesar. But even as we saw Chavez's beginning of his end as a supreme undefeated legend, even in his losses he fought like a champion! That's why he will always be beloved and will forever live in boxing lore, especially for us mexican nationals. The man WON 87 CONSECUTIVE FIGHTS, went 27 CONSECUTIVE WORLD TITLE FIGHTS WITHOUT LOSSING, PLUS THE 1 DRAW; so 28 overall! Insane! And was 89 - 0 - 1 leading to his fight with Randall. No shade on the great Floyd Mayweather Jr. but he gets too much credit and publicity re: his 50 - 0 record like it's the greatest record ever. It's NOT! No denying he's a legend as well but come on! There's no comparing at all. Julio won almost twice much without a defeat. Thanks for the amazing memorias super campeón Julio César Chavez! 💪🥊🥊🎉

The judges working with Chavez were so dirty, that was not a split decision victory, Randell clearly won that fight, but dirty judges don't care, they would give the fight to Chavez no matter what. Like, when they scored a draw with Pernell Whitaker. Now, they do it with Canelo.

Frankie Randall yes he won, one THING Is what the Frankie Randall fans see AND another Is what only Chávez AND His drug demons on that ring Chávez was going through.

Close fight and 114/113 was about right. Could have gone either way. Randall was in top shape to take all those body shots and still have power. Chavez was feeling Frankie:s punches more than usual. Steele took 2 points which was excessive. I could see one. Steele made it up to Julio when he stopped the Taylor fight with seconds to go. Chavez was losing. Hats off to both fighters.

Showed that skill actually plays a part in a fight.
