The shape Susan draws on the ink blot page is a hexagon which most people have interpreted as the Tardis console. Also I would love if the show actually used the pilot as a timey wimey alternate reality. Like bring back Susan and have the events of the past start to unravel. Something clever like that to actually incorporate it into the show. Anyway, great video!
Interesting to think about... Not sure the main series itself has done anything like this, but the Big Finish audios elaborated that there are two series of events by which Shada occurred... The first of course being the original with 4 that was only partially completed until recently when it was finished, and then, after the events in The Five Doctors that pulled him out of his timestream he immediately ran back to the TARDIS and left, and because of this, an alternate version of the story had to occur with 8 and Romana during her presidency much much later when they realized there was serious unfinished business there. Both versions of the story occurred. It just depends relative to where you are in The Doctor's timeline as to which is relevant timeline wise... I think such messing with The Doctor's timeline in a televised format could be fascinating.
0:46 - my headcanon is that the Master while stranded on earth for decades, joined the BBC in the 1960s and helped created Doctor Who (I mean Doctor Who DOES exist *in* Doctor Who!) under the alias of Waris Hussein, meaning the Master was actually there from the START. The real masterplan!

I'm surprised we haven't seen the character of Susan return again. The last time we saw her was in The Five Doctors I believe. It would be interesting for Susan to meet her grandfather who is now her grandmother before the next regeneration.
Yeh I will never understand why new who hasn’t ever explored Susan’s storyline. It’s not like the actress is dead. RTD was the best at classic companions. He brought back Sarah Jane, jo grant, the brigadier, he was even going to bring back Ace, had Elizabeth sladen not died. Which is funny really as Moffat seemed to be the one to completely ignore any of RTD’s work and relied heavily on the classics, so it’s strange he never thought about bringing back a classic companion during his run

It’s like Star Wars legends none of its canon until the writers decide which bits are. Big finish have done torchwood series 5, 6 and 7 by now but RTD could quite easily come straight back and carry on from miracle day, completely ignoring big finish. This making it not canon. There are times when the doctor has met somebody or a historical figure for the first time on tv whilst also having met them before in an audio, there are just so many little things like that that just cant sustain canonity of them both at the same time So they’re not canon overall unless a tv writer decides they like something from it and then that part of it gets granted canon status
It's crazy that this survived when so many broadcast episodes were wiped. I nice little curio to have, but if I could swap it for any missing episode, I would.
Probably when they switched to filming in Color (Colour) for the 3rd Doctor. I'm guessing for the Black & White filming a pale shade of Green looks better than pure white. Plus it doesn't look all glary like white would.
Great video! Have you ever done a vidro about the various rooms/ equipment inside the Tardis in the 60's era. The 1st doctors use of his ring. Interesting to see him solve problems without a sonic screwdriver.
