I have a habit of accidentally picking up accents temporarily. If I watch a movie, I mimic the accent for a little bit. When I visit relatives or friends, I pick up their accent. Most likely, they unconsciously picked up her accent while speaking to her.
I’m have a deep southern accent and when I talk to my boyfriend from Canada he says I lose it, but when I talk to family it’s very deep. Probably unconsciously doing it to mimic the person you’re talking to.

The phone thing is so accurate. I would chat with friends or cousins on the phone before smart phones were a thing and we would run out of things to talk about and kind of just sat in silence. 😂 I love how chill and humorous the three of you are about it, this video is priceless.

Rhett always makes fun of himself with an exaggerated accent on the show. I totally hear it in Lesli.
Now I wonder if that accent is really exaggerated or not, and if they'd just lost it over the years...
They’ve absolutely lost it. I think they talked about it before that they were losing their accent.
I have a habit of accidentally picking up accents temporarily. If I watch a movie, I mimic the accent for a little bit. When I visit relatives or friends, I pick up their accent. Most likely, they unconsciously picked up her accent while speaking to her.
I’m have a deep southern accent and when I talk to my boyfriend from Canada he says I lose it, but when I talk to family it’s very deep. Probably unconsciously doing it to mimic the person you’re talking to.
Also, I think I heard that they try to sound less southern when they’re on the show. On their vlogs their accents are stronger, at least I think.
