This gives me nostalgia for memories I wish I could have but I don't so now I am trying to remember things which have never happened only for the sake of having something to think about.
The part with them in the graveyard not finding anything to do is so real. You always imagine an old childhood town existing in a time capsule, but in reality stuff got torn down, unrecognisable things got built up, saplings you planted grew into great oaks, and familiar homes are housing strangers.
I am amazed that Mr. “I-can’t-talk-and-use-a-knife-at-the-same-time” Link Neal was able to pedal that bike down the road and speak coherent sentences to the camera simultaneously. 😂
I don’t know why, but I always get emotional seeing people with such a good tie to home and their childhood. I moved around a lot as a kid so I always get so jealous of them...
Same! Soon after my parents' divorce, our house got foreclosed. So from when I was 7/8 we would move once every year or two. Even lived on a campground for a bit. I'm in my 20s now and we still move every few years.... All I wanted as a kid was some damn stability lol
I always stayed in the same place, but my childhood wasn’t filled with close friends or exploring the neighborhood (not until maybe now, in adulthood and hopefully future) so I get wistful too when I see this. It depends on what you make of it, even if you never moved much, and I’m grateful for what I have now.

It's weird because even when I lived in California it would come back as certain times like when I was mad or excited about something but I think the biggest thing was if I heard someone else using a similar accent mine always kicked in ... I think it was about being comfortable people from other parts of country ain't very nice to us they tend to treat us like we're not as intelligent or like we agree with bad things that happened here over a hundred years ago so we have to hide these accents but I've noticed in recent years they've actually become something that more and more people enjoy hearing so that's definitely nice

It's a regional thing. I'm from the North East US and always called them roundabouts or a rotary , but when I moved to NC they all called them traffic circles
it's definitely a gift that these guys are still friends to this day. I've lost touch with all my childhood friends...sad but if you ever meet people in your life that you love (whether friend, brotherhood, romantic), never let them go

Being about the same age as these guys, hearing them talk about their childhood both made me reminisce and miss my own. I felt like I was there with them because in many ways I was but only with my friends instead of them. One of the saddest realities is being reminded of one simple fact. You can never go back.
I relate so much to link with all the family stuff like having no dad growing up and even not having the best house. I just bought their book the lost causes of bleak creak and I'm really enjoyed it so far.
