i got scammed yesterday, feeling like an idiot i underestimated them , i filed a complain to cyber crime, the scammers are polite than the cyber crime both of them sucks

It honestly sucks. It’s come to the point where Indians trust the military more than any law enforcement… the police don’t keep people safe, so India is probably the only country in the world whose citizens won’t mind if the country becomes militarized which has its own dangers. It’s sad, politicians hold more power than anyone else who is qualified to govern a country and a literal chai wala is the Prime Minister rather than somebody actually educated. Wouldn’t be surprised if these politicians support the scammers because they might get a cut of money from it…

Way way way too corrupt. Bribe them and you’re free to go. Us Indians are also quite frustrated about it. Not just the police but the treasury department also takes bribes so that your pension could be paid to you soon or else they keep the work pending. Most of the govt office are quite similar when it comes to bribery

To be fair, the police departments of most countries will act like that if a foreigner called from abroad. While there might be places to file reports (in the USA you can report cyber crime to the FTC) a police department will not take a report from someone calling from the other side of the globe.

I doubt any of the people profiting from this garbage are bothered in the slightest about what the rest of the world thinks of their country. Also, it's pretty obvious that a significant portion of the revenue generated by these scams is spent on bribes. How many people reading this would actually be willing to do the right thing if it meant that you and your family would be in very real danger and your income, as well as that of everyone you work with, including your superiors, would be cut by at least 50%? How do you suppose the majority of your coworkers and bosses would react if they were to find out that you were attempting to derail their gravy train?

My mom, 78, recently was scammed by these guys, they had access to her computer for 30 mins and it’s caused so many problems since. It makes me so upset thinking about it- she’s the sweetest person and donates all her time to volunteering and helping others, and got taken advantage of. They had emailed her about some charge and she called them back and it went just like you do it. Just wanted to thank you for actively hunting these awful humans down.

Thank you, if it wasn’t for your videos I would have just lost £200 in an email scam. My Landlady messaged me asking her to get her a gift card for her niece, it was weird but I agreed. I wanted to make sure she wasn’t being scammed so I asked her if it was really for her niece. After typing that out, making sure she wasn’t being scammed i suddenly thought “hey am I the one being scammed here?”I called her and turns out her email address has been hacked and scammers are using her account to scam her contacts. If it wasn’t for your videos I could have fell for it and lost the last of my money. Thanks again for all the work you do

Rarely do email accounts ever get "hacked". Typically people just reveal their password by using the same one everywhere or falling for phishing emails.

Pierogi needs to escalate this via a competent US authority, who in thier turn will use diplomatic channels to bring sense to Indian authorities. If he tries to contact Indian authorities esp. The Police, which are Police for namesake, he will meet a dead end. Let keep aside the charge of cyber crime. The Police here wont even register a case for crimes which come under thier ambit, forget about cyber crime.

I swear, it just KILLS me when they start their same old tired insults as though we think they’re really offensive. To me, they just show how stupid these scammers are. All you’ve got to say to really get THEM upset is; “I’ve got your parents numbers, & all your friends, & your brothers & sisters, & I’m going to tell every one of them that you’re a scammer!”.

When the scammer was using inappropriate words, i really admire that u maintained your equilibrium ...amazing. It wld be great to see that consistently throughout.
The issue here is these illegal call centers pay lots of bribes to the local police and gov't officials. Also when they go to court they will pay huge sums to the judges, make sure to follow up on all the cases !! And publicize as much as you can include the higher up officials so they are held accountable !!
I just wanted to say that im very happy about the work that you guys do, these guys had recently been trying to call my Grandma and thankfully nothing bad has happened yet, but its a good thing we are finally trying to put a stop to it.

Thank you for creating awareness to scammers. My husbands grandma was scammed 5k and she was told she couldn't tell any family members. By the time she told us it was already too late.

And even though most of his haters ARE probably Indian, I can tell you as an Indian myself that I absolutely love this guy for his work. The way that the cyber crime "police" responded gave me second hand embarrassment. They don't even care. It's sad to see how this guy who lives thousands of miles away has to do the work that the police should be doing.
