Harley Dude: _"What's that piece of junk you bought...?"_ Me: Bullhorns. Tassels. Nut-to-butt dudes. At least he will make it home, without anything broken, 999/1000 and looking like a boss at the same time. Can't say the same for that Harley lol. Dude must be riding to San Francisco...
Thanks for taking the time out of your day to do a review on such an awesome bike, I am sorry for all these other people for giving you shit about your language, I love it how people have nothing better to do than to try and drag others through the mud. Anyway good luck to you mate, I hope to see more videos like this one.
It is an awesome bike. Even though I own a Harley I'm not above or better than any cruiser on the road. I love all bike. I do not recommend Harleys nor do I discourage anyone from getting one. There are a few Japanese cruisers I'd like to have. My next bike may or may not be a Harley. Thanks for posting & sharing
I have a burple 06 M109R, Love it. Yes it does drag the pegs, I had a 04 GSXR 750 also at the time. I also joked around and saod the 750 was a scalpel blade, the 109 was your favorite pocket knife.
Thanks for the review, you described exactly what the bike feels like and the language helps because it's what will probably be going through everyone's head when they ride the M109R for the first time. I have a test ride on Friday and I wanted to know in advance what to expect. I know now. Cheers!!!
Rode it, liked it, bought it. Everything you said is exactly how it is. Some reviews talk a lot about the weight and manouvering difficulty; I got used to that pretty quick and now I just enjoy the power, stability and comfort. Even the slow turns seem quite easy if you remember the drill and keep the thottle going, feather the clutch and look ahead, with a toe hovering on the rear brake.. Having a screen helps, but 50mph feels like 30mph did on my 600 Hornet.
I went from a 1000cc sports bike to this. Best thing I ever did. Took me a few months to get used to riding it though. Kept scraping the pegs in the corners especially the roundabouts coz its wide as fuck and an all round massive bike. Real heavy too but soooo comfy! Feels like youre sitting on a couch. You pull up next to Harleys and the look small.
That guy on the HD was a jerk didnt sound like he had been riding long, or just come from the bar.I ride the Anti Harley Harley, the VRSCR Streetrod, the sport roadster version of the V Rod. Only made two years, has Brembo brakes, Showa suspension, steeper fork rake and taller ground clearance, it is not a cruiser. Will leave any regular V Rod or M109 for that matter when the road gets twisty. Regular Harley riders don't know what it is, I love it.
Excellent review mate. You say it as it is and I can relate to that 100% I'm going out to buy one. You can pick up a good second hand M109R in Australia for about $9000. Good work.
Yeah you have to pull clutch all the way and completely release power and then throw your foot up into 2 gear and it's works perfectly but it takes a bit to get used to, maybe a few daysb
i dont care what kind of bike your on. thats major disrespect in the begining of the video from the dude on the Harley. this is how I know you aint in Texas. that would have been the end of the video or the begining haha.. good for you for keeping cool. the m109 is a beast imo.
Funny, I own both the m109 and the vrod muscle. Torquewise I'll give it to the m109. Comfort? Well I have an aftermarket Ultimate Seat on my m109 and 3 inch Handlebar risers. On the vrod it is completely stock except exhaust. So as is I would have to give comfort to the M109. Sitting on the B ride you are in clamshell position which makes a bit uncomfortable for a long ride. But all I do is I put my feet on the passenger pegs when cruising on the highway when I get uncomfortable and it feels pretty good. As for every day fun I would have to give it to the vrod. It is just such a fun bike to drive and does not feel as heavy as the 109. They both have a 240 tire on the back but did he ride almost feels like a 190 tire. It's a lot easier to scrape the pegs on the 109 than the vrod. In fact I have not scraped the pegs on the vrod. As for price for 109 is quite a bit cheaper by about 8000 Canadian. As for looks I much more appreciate the vrod. It is just such a bad ass looking bike.
nice I like how the m109 and the Harley Davidson v rod have a sports bike look I have a Suzuki gsx600f katana and a 1972 Harley Davidson 900 sportster chopper 7 foot springer front end
check out the Vrod, Victory hammer and 8ball. honda vtx 1800F. yamaha warrior and vmax. Ducati Diavel, triumph Rocket. prolly a few more muscle cruisers i didnt mention
Great bike!!! I definitely recommend the bike. I own a 08 m109r. I love a lot of bikes, but this one is my favorite 👍. I think you should add it to the stable. Ride safe
youre right on that, I have a 2006 with 7500 miles and this thing is a beast. harley have tried to race me but smoked them everytime. they end up giving me the thumbs up.
Cruisers are awesome. You can stop worrying about speeding tickets anymore cause doing the speed limit will now be easy to ride at. But one thing about that Vrod you mentioned. I heard they require a valve adjustment at 12,000 miles. That requires pulling the motor out and that's expensive. You may want to look into that of you are considering that bike.
What's up guys from New Zealand! This video was my inspiration in the purchase of a new M109 in this colour combo. The amount of comments & people that stare at my bully is incredible & very humbling. My next goal is to park a 2017 gsxr 1000 next to it in the garage.
Hobart Kiwi, but once you get this bike.. UPGRADE with AFTER MARKET PARTS; Commander 5, customize clutch with Hydraulic shift, increase tire to 260(((no need for 300)), get handle bar extended with the rocker arms/brace that hold the handle bars, change air cover case, and change exhaust to Vance & Hines ... but leave off the cobra long shots......
109hink this is the best common ground between a cruiser and a sport bike. I have a Kawasaki Vaquero and I love the comfort of my cruiser/touring bike and it has plenty of power but it is big and not that nimble at slow speeds so if I can ever afford a second bike to kick around on I will be the M109.
Can u tell me pls the name of the song at the beginning? Sick Track man. Btw very nice review, im also looking forward to buy a m109r, very special and unique bike
A vastly under rated motorcycle. Especially for the money. Great suspension, seriously. Comfortable, way ahead of how bad it is to sit on a Vrod for a while. Only the Indian Scout is in this league and still not the torque monster. Maybe the Ducati. A few simple inexpensive mods it easily outruns VRods (which they quit making this year). Don't screw with the exhaust unless you know how. They put special waste-gate controllers in the exhaust to modify the torque curves. The engine originally was a Suzuki racing V4. The lopped down to the Vtwin and added a shaft drive (for some reason, but you never has to mess with it!). Hate the instrument cluster but this motorcycle can rock. Might have to buy one myself, now that we have raced them for two seasons. Oh, and scrape off that "Boulevard" logo, it's embarrassing for bike like this.
Kodythebarber yeah dude its a mean bike... i just cant wait for spring... just a few more weeks..then its back to the intoxicating sound of my raider with cobra pipes
So, I live in Taiwan atm but I'm moving back.. totally hooked on motorcylces! Problem I have now is... do I get a cruiser like this boulevard or a sport bike? I've got a tiny 150cc that is only allowed on city streets (no highways) What do you recommend?
It depends what you into. if your more into sport bikes i would get a older carbureted 600cc bike if your into the cruisers i would stay under 900cc & just try to get something thats not to heavy until you get used to the weight.
Thanks for the advice! I want to ride this thing everyday so I was thinking a Yamaha Bolt if I end up with a cruiser. Sport bikes are all over the place.. so something like you said, a mid range-ninja type bike. Something to get me ready for a Hayabusa or Boulevard!
Bro, don't waist your time... That's the BEST muscle cruiser out there NOTHING right off the showroom floor is more powerful than the M109R. If you get one, just wait until you put on your pipes and add a air cleaners and install a Powerpro. there will be no more jerking just pure well disciplined power. It then becomes an even different bike. Every time i get on the bike I feel like i'm staring in my own action movie.
I have a 9'r as well. I love how this guy, discovered the torque!! lol All the fuckin way throughout the power band. I've owned a ton of bikes over the years, and the M109R is the SHIT!!! King of the Hill. Mine is piped, chipped and now dynos at 167HP.
I'm a Harley rider and I'm embarrassed about that POS, its idiots like him that give us Harley riders a bad name. I've owned many bikes from all different brands, but no brand has as much riders with arrogance as Harley does. Some just think cause they paid for a 20k bike ride they riding the best so they can act like idiots, but truth is their is no motorbike that is the best. It all comes down to preferences. Please do note hate on all Harley riders because I can tell you, 90% of us all cool. Also night rider I think what you're doing is cool, you buy what you want and like which makes you happy. Keep up the good work bro.
I dont' understand When You Ride a Giant Engine Bike in 1st and 2nd.This engine can Pull the Higher Gears, and you get Much better fuel Economy. Its a Cruiser setup. Much like my Harley Dana 103 Inch Motor. Have Fun !! Don
Fucking good fucking video review man the fucking m109r is a fucking cool fucking bike looks really fucking smooth and shit crazy as fuck how you can just fucking cruise like that like holy fucking shit thats fucking cool lol.
I have a Harley (and a literbike) but I hate the HD riders that are obsessed with talking shit about every other brand. Might as well just carry a flag around that says I have a tiny dick and I'm angry about it. Buy and ride whatever you enjoy, the end.
It's funny that you were so quick to say it wasn't your bike like you were embarrassed or something!! When that M109 is a way better bike then that suck ass Harley
ride enough cruiser bro, you wont want to go back to jockey position. rode my sister's cbr600rr thee other day (i use to own 2 sports before) and it was horrible
Yeah bro, If you buy American, buy Victory or Indian. So many fucking Harleys on the road. Harleys are so played-out. I myself prefer Japanese, but me being Asian-American I AM OBLIGATED to buy American made, and when i do I'm getting an Indian! I dont want to be the next guy with a Harley!
The bloke on the Harley had a male pillion and tassels on his handlebars. He was in no position to talk shit.
I love my boulevard m109 had it in highschool still have one to this day will never give her up to nice to ride
Harley Dude: _"What's that piece of junk you bought...?"_
Me: Bullhorns. Tassels. Nut-to-butt dudes.

thanks i appreciate the support
This is one of the better real world reviews ive seen so far. Thanks
thanks bro i appreciate the support
For sure. Keep it up
It is an awesome bike. Even though I own a Harley I'm not above or better than any cruiser on the road. I love all bike. I do not recommend Harleys nor do I discourage anyone from getting one. Man! I like your review, the way you expressed yourself felt raw and excited, I am looking at getting a grey 2016 later this year, Thanks.
Thanks man I appreciate the support!
Love it? HD guy driving up talking senseless smack and he has a dude on the back.
He literally likes to ride things that are a pain on his ass
Carlos Danger lol
Excellent review, phenominal bike! Thanks! Don't change a thing about your style, its perfect...
I have a burple 06 M109R, Love it. Yes it does drag the pegs, I had a 04 GSXR 750 also at the time. I also joked around and saod the 750 was a scalpel blade, the 109 was your favorite pocket knife.

What was so special about the HD bike? The boulevard is a beautiful bike and it's built well with incredible performance.
yes 240 rear... im on my 3rd rear tire, this bike is top notch... Im diggin the Blue
Benjamin E. Sarver Sr. You must enjoy burnouts. Shouldn’t be running through tires that fast lol
I went from a 1000cc sports bike to this. Best thing I ever did. Took me a few months to get used to riding it though. Excellent review! I like hearing it come from another sport bike rider like myself. We ride a certain way and if we're not careful, BANG, down we go!
the harley dude had his life partner with him, CHEEEEAAAAH!!!
Coming from a sport bike, that sofa sized seat damn near sold me on it in the showroom.
He pulled up talking about what is that piece of shit xD the M109R would run his and his boyfriends shit in 1st gear
that's right harley riders just don't know!
Jimmy Rustled You said it.
That guy on the HD was a jerk didnt sound like he had been riding long, or just come from the bar.I ride the Anti Harley Harley, the VRSCR Streetrod, the sport roadster version of the V Rod. Oh yeah, and mid controls that put you in a mild lean forward position. I cant stand forward controls.
whats up with your face?
I have a 2006 hayabusa and 2014 yellow/black M109r BOSS. I love it
Excellent review mate. You say it as it is and I can relate to that 100% I'm going out to buy one. You can pick up a good second hand M109R in Australia for about $9000. Good work.
This has to be one of the best reviews ive ever seen. lol! good job!

Love m109Rs.
They are bad ass.
Love the black and blue

Turd Furgeson for the price, 109 is way better but if they the same price, I would get a vrod

Won't go wrong with a 109. Happy riding!
The weight of this bike is no problem to drive in the city or on the road?
Can you plz tell me, which track is playing in the background.
I like your reviews. Cruisers are fun. I have a 1998 Honda Valkyrie
Yah the big cruisers have that low end torque. Thats the scene and it is always powerful not just under high RPMs.
great review. I am looking at this as my first bike.
Great bike!!! I definitely recommend the bike. I own a 08 m109r. I love a lot of bikes, but this one is my favorite 👍. I think you should add it to the stable. Ride safe
Thanks bro. Im definitely considering it. Ride safe.
Yeah I have a 14 boss love the thing I came off sport bike and wanted something that still had power one I gutted the exhaust it's been great.

Good job man, what track is that you're playing.
im looking for a cruiser also myself to add to the line up
Will you recommend this bike for a first-time rider?
So, I live in Taiwan atm but I'm moving back.. totally hooked on motorcylces! Problem I have now is... do I get a cruiser like this boulevard or a sport bike? I've got a tiny 150cc that is only allowed on city streets (no highways) What do you recommend?
