It may work out if you take the time to balance the cars with either downforce, weight or power. You know, lessen the downforce of the newer cars, up the weight of the older cars etc.

The really depressing thing is if any car reviewer from any magazine was to see this line of cars in real life, test them as you did, and be told to give a verdict, he'd ignore all of them and say a Golf GTI.
The problem with that car in Forza, is that (And this is a problem with Imprezas and Evos alike) the car tends to stall if the track is not entirely flat. Purely because they are geared badly and the big turbo reliance.
I may actually get Forza Horizon 3. Looks like so much gun and it's coming to Windows 10 on PC ( I don't have an Xbox.). Plus Horizon features rallying, unlike Motorsport. It also features fun off-roading. My cup of tea ;)

There is the old 308 GTI (the woefully underpowered ones) and the Veloster Turbo has a mere 200HP, and is heavy and FWD. Its D-class and would have no chance.
You're telling me that muscle cars aren't practical for daily life? They have big trunks, you can seat many of the peoples, and they're great if you need to tow something. Definitely offsets the size (more of a problem for Europeans than Americans, admittedly) and wonderful fuel economy.
The rear seats are useless for normal-sized people, the trunks aren't actually that massive (hatchbacks have bigger trunks) and most of them aren't actually that good for towing- powerful engine in the front, RWD and a front weight bias isn't the best choice for a towing car. And the fuel economy isn't actually that good, if you want a daily.

However, if you ever sit in older muscle cars (Charger, Chevelle), not pony cars (Mustang, Camaro) there is a surprising amount of leg room. Especially if you get into something full sized like an Impala. Muscle car trunks might be smaller in cubic footage compared to a hatchback but there is also no privacy (or much less than is afforded through a hatchback). For example, if you need to dispose of some illegal goods, the muscle car will be much better for the fact that you won't be able to spot it as easily. And yes, a Dodge Challenger isn't as good at towing something as a Ford f350 would be, but it's certainly better than a 200HP hatchback. And yes, economy is shite. That was a bit of sarcasm (the entire post was, to be frank).

The Challenger is a bit bigger than the Mustang and Camaro, isn't it? Well, hatchback trunks are more practical for that reason. Something that is too big for the trunk can be fit inside car by using some of the interior space. Muscle cars have tons of power, so that isn't an isssue for towing. However, too much power can be a disadvantage while towing. For example, back when I had my BMW E46 wagon (2,2L I6, around 170hp), I had less issues towing my dirtbikes around than a friend of mine with his parents' V8 Mercedes in less than ideal road conditions. The Merc was either being stopped by traction control or spinning its' tires.
If only forza had the 2016 golf r, or the new club sport, or even the hopefully 400 HP golf, then!, the ford focus will have a fairly even challenger (all rounded) 😁

I suggested using the m235i instead (as it is mechanically identical other than the coupe body as the m135i) but we went with the 1M anyway as its also a viable competitor
