12 months playing him .12 months hearing Les miserables every day. Did i ever tire? Did i ever get bored? Did i ever wish i was doing something else? NEVER. NOT EVEN FOR A SECOND. THIS CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER..for good..only for greater good. X❤🌏🌎🌍🪶" the chain will be broken and ALLmen shall have their reward" in my soul forever les mis..i love you. X 😊
In the book they are portrayed as much darker, abusive to Cosette, low lifes, searching for quick ways to earn money, such as employing tricks at their restaurant & demanding money from Eponine & take care only for their daughters while their sons must care for themselves
@@gregorbaby4269 I mean, Madame Thenardier is still abusive to Cosette in the musical and they're still low lifes, but it's much less blatant in the musical.
Brilliant performance! You could see how much effort everyone was putting in. An enjoyable watch. I also found very useful because I am auditioning for the role of Madame Thenardier in a show of different musical theatre songs in a few days. I was only given the audition piece today, so I'm searching the web for inspiration!
@D.Laney We've already done the performance (I did get the role of Madame Thenardier 🙂) but that is great advice and I will make sure to use it if I ever do a similar kind of performance. Thanks! :)
Ashley Artus for me is the most researched and best Thenardier.....hes a better actor. This NEW LES MISERABLES Means that all new Thenardiers are based on ARTUS. This is good. Ashley, Alun, Barry, the best hands down.
Ashley Artus the best Thenardier. The best actor and the most clever. Original. I saw Ashley in Tales from the crypt. HBO on American TV with Alun Armstrong. It should have been him and Jenny Galloway in the movie. That would be clever. Makeup and wigs could have made them the same age. why wasnt jenny in the movie? or Alun Armstrong?
This actor really drives home the sleaziness and crook nature of Thenardier, which I love
oh i adore this madame thenardier
same her energy and anger at her husband works so well!! Also the bird part made me genuinely sad she looked DEVASTATED
Man the guy playing Thenardier is really having a great time

This really adds some comedy to the play after all the sad parts

I really liked her inflections during her verse. You should try to incorporate that, if the thing hasn't happened already.

Don’t forget about Gary Beach and Gavin Lee. Two of my favorite Lumiéres.
I forget if this is the same thenardier I saw in 2011 at the ahmanson theater in Los Angeles but this one is still great
❤.x
Okay so is it just me, or at about one minute in, does the music sound a lot like "Poor Unfortunate Souls"? I mean, it's extremely fitting if it is
Holy shit. Yeah
Only needs those crystal synths to make them “sue” for it
Who plays miss Thenardier?
Lynne Wilmot
Wonderful! Can you put Earl's Stars?
(raised eyebrows)

Is that Michael Kostroff as Thenardier?
Ashley Artus the best.
No of course not. its Ashley Artus on the new tour and the live dream the dream CD.
Yeah, this is Ashley Artus on the Barbican showing in 2010. Kostroff did it on the US Tour around the same time.
