Activity #5 - Heating and Cooling - Water vs. Sand

Side by side, sand and water will be heated by a small lamp while their temperature is recorded every minute for ten minutes. The lamp will then be removed and the temperature of the two substances will again be recorded every minute for ten minutes as they cool. Data are presented at the end of the video.
