Y por supuesto el gran Ignasi Terraza impartiendo magisterio en cada solo al piano. Video para atesorar como oro en paño.

Definitely works, BANG! Lead singer brings another slant that's nice to hear after this song has been sung by just about everybody else. Her female compadres support and express in heat-beats of blissfulness doing one of Cole's Porter's most popular tunes real justice. Well done ladies! You can't forget this band. It chugs along with real reverence for its genre. As a guitar player my ears feast on how sublime the guitarist sits at ease punctuating the little bits that make the song speak to its audience just like the master of this kind of playing method was popularised by Freddie Green, the master of rhythm guitar in a big band setting. Sorry to labour the point, it has to be said that in an age of post-Hendrix/Clapton guitar players with their widdley widdley throttle the song antics, this guitar player shows that the instrument's power is not all about being up front and in your face. Subtlety won the day. The rhythm section i. e. bass and drums sit tight and support the whole just as it should be but know instinctively when to push and pull. Talented skill. Last but not least, the keyboards plod through the arrangement at a steady pace and provide ample embellishment wherever its needed to the organic wholeness of this unit. When its time to do what this music has been used for since its inception i. e. as a vehicle for improvisation, the keyboard player takes his turn starting with a laid back break that leads to a more excited flurry of notes towards its end. Nice to see that he enjoys playing his bit. Homage to Cole Porter.

She is wonderful. Magalia has a very unique style and voice. Eva and Andrea are great as the backing singers. Both are extremely talented singers on their own.
These talented young, beautiful female jazz musicians-Andrea Motis, Eva Fernandez and Magali Datzira (lead vocals) are amazing protégées of Joan Chamorro who plays the acoustic bass in the background. Datzira’s singing evokes that of jazz/blues great Billie Holiday. Refreshing to see a revival and appreciation of jazz by these younger musicians who are passionate and disciplined in learning the musical art.

Jesus Christ. I have listened to this version and watched this video at least 15 times since I discovered it just a couple weeks ago. Superb!!!! And that piano!!!! Oh my!!!! Ignasi Terraza is just outstanding, fantabulous in his solo.

TOGETHER is their motto! They have always been 100% supportive, taking in a soloist's success as a common success. Here, Magali is the youngster and I see Andrea and Eva as even in their superiority. You wouldn't notice from their demenor! Two supreme examples are "A tisket, a tasket" (Andrea bonding with her asking wee trumpet collegue) and "Moody's Mood for Love" (blank shoulder edition)" where they all get excited about Magali's achievement at 6 minutes!
Ignasi Terraza's piano solo has George Shearing moments added to his own stupendous talent as a jazz musician. Like George Shearing this amazing pianist is also blind. Outstanding! The lovely young lady Magali Datzira dazzles me when she delivers jazz style like a young Billy Holiday. She is Spanish and she sings this in a second language which only makes it more magical. The harmony when the girls sing together is delightful and their accented English is so charming. To top it all off they are having fun. What kind of wizardry does Joan Chamarro have that he can find and develop talent as he does. I am both baffled and very happy that he can do this. I continue to visit his videos everyday now as a birthday present to myself on the occasion of my 85th year onthis great planet which seems now in such peril...but not musically. Jazz has been rescued.
when the song began after the intro, i was hooked and my jaw dropped all the way throughout the rendition and regained composure only at the end *__* this is an outstanding presentation -- the swing beat, accompaniment, and the those three sensuous ladies...

I'll say it again: Magali Datzira is Joan Chamorro's ace. A diva in the most positive sense, without even trying but damn, Ignasi is on FIRE! Josep even notes moment of take-off (2:29) with a smile. Words seem worthless describing what it's like hearing and watching the interplay between these superb musicians. Simply this - Bravo, Chamorro!

I've never been much of a jazz lover, but this one song and Magali's vocals spun me 180 degrees. Sorry that it took me to 6 years to stumble onto it. Love her voice and rendition of this song as well as all the others that she does.
Magali has jazz/swing under her skin, and it comes out from her beautiful voice, with emotion, felt in each and single note. Bravo! Great and deep spontaneous expression, fluidity is an impressive sensation left to the listener/spectator. Am a jazz flistener for many decades; I have no doubt to include MAGALI DATZIRA, between the top jazz singers, ever!
A few weeks ago a friend from the States mentioned Andrea Motis - and since then I am playing all the St. Andreu tunes on TH-cam up and down. Magali, Eva, Alba and especially Andrea are a young new generation which gives me the hope that this type of music will persist and not turn to become "something for the elder". Impressing mission you are on, Mr. Chamorro - and you did a very good job. Thumb up!

I could listen to this piece NIGHT & DAY! Magali and her support crooners were simply great but I must also mention the superb piano accompaniment by Ignasi Terraza, who is incredibly talented.
I have to agree. I've heard dozens of versions and never thought I'd hear one as great as Sinatra/Riddle's mid 50's version, but this young up and coming artist's version is indeed the best. I've checked a few other things by Ms Datzira and her potential is awesome.

I have to agree. I've heard dozens of versions and never thought I'd hear one as great as Sinatra/Riddle's mid 50's version, but this young up and coming artist's version is indeed the best. I've checked a few other things by Ms Datzira and her potential is awesome.
