This is all fascinating to me. I always wondered [when they great Mr Ivry Gitlis died] ... who would be the next to play on it, and would it take a long time (as in, many years) to find a new player or buyer for it? I can't believe it's already now in the hands of one of my top favourite young violinists, Mr Lozakovich!! The style of Mr Gitlis vs. the style of Mr Lovakovich is VERY different - no one can match Mr Gitlis' incredible vibrato .... so I wonder if this violin's sound is going to change dramatically now. P.S. As a younger luthier back in 2018 - I was commencing a copy of the 1713 Ex-Sancy alongside my master, but unfortunately he passed away soon after commencement, before I could finish it, and all I had completed were the ribs. I left it at that because I would definitely need his expert advice on how to make a violin of this design sound very nice. Based on the measurements and life-sized photos I have of it: it's actually quite slim and "petite". Nice informative video :)
