    Hey brother,
It’s ok to call out a heretic, and I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with your assessment, but I do think it would help your cause to at least post something she’s publicly said to back up your criticism, especially critiquing her without actually personally asking her what she truly believes. Graduating from Oral Roberts University, and being a “charismatic”simply does not make one a heretic. The same would be true if someone were calling you a heretic. I would simply ask them to prove it. I just think your video would carry more weight if you had documented evidence. God bless you!

She writes music and performs with the most prolific and dangerous false teachers and false churches of our day. Damien Lawrance In the Hebrew Scriptures, the word used to describe the realm of the dead is sheol. It simply means “the place of the dead” or “the place of departed souls/spirits.” The New Testament Greek equivalent of sheol is hades, which also refers to “the place of the dead.” Other Scriptures in the New Testament indicate that sheol/hades is a temporary place, where souls are kept as they await the final resurrection and judgment. Revelation 20:11-15 gives a clear distinction between hades and the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the permanent and final place of judgment for the lost. Hades, then, is a temporary place.
Some have the viewpoint that Jesus went to “hell” or the suffering side of sheol/hades in order to further be punished for our sins. This idea is completely unbiblical. It was the death of Jesus on the cross that sufficiently provided for our redemption. It was His shed blood that effected our own cleansing from sin (1 John 1:7-9). As He hung there on the cross, He took the sin burden of the whole human race upon Himself. He became sin for us: “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21). This imputation of sin helps us understand Christ’s struggle in the garden of Gethsemane with the cup of sin which would be poured out upon Him on the cross.
As Jesus neared death, He said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). His suffering in our place was completed. His soul/spirit went to hades (the place of the dead). Jesus did not go to “hell” or the suffering side of hades; He went to “Abraham’s side” or the blessed side of hades. Jesus’ suffering ended the moment He died. The payment for sin was paid. He then awaited the resurrection of His body and His return to glory in His ascension. Did Jesus go to hell? No. Did Jesus go to sheol/hades? Yes.

@@slibertas1996 Actually, that is a rip off of an older Anglican prayer (Yes, the first verse is from the Torah, where God mentions how Aaron is to bless the people of Israel (the Church hasn't replaced Israel) -- but that is all there is to it). Please note that quoting a part of scripture doesn't necessarily mean that passage applies to you. The Bible talks of someone else (yes, that person, not one with a forked tail and horns, but someone who masquerades as an 'angel of light') who also quoted the scripture, and the argument sounded reasonable, but the quoting was out of context!
Please at least consider what I have to say.
--> The constant repetitions, Lights+Sound effects and theatrics are meant to draw one into a trance-like state. I live in India and see these being done all the time at pagan places of worship. These techniques are designed to create an experience that lets your doctrinal guard down. Compare that to the part when the Bible instructs us to "be sober, be vigilant...". Almost every charismatic place of worship follows these worldly techniques and unfortunately, many Bible based churches seem to be following suit.
--> The song really doesn't mention God, in the sense that, it does not worship Him. In fact, it doesn't mention anything about praising Him, neither does it talk about the sacrifice done on the cross for a sinner like me, nor does it encourage one to walk in His ways as a believer treads the narrow and strait path. In fact, most of these songs (including the Blessing) DON'T EVEN MENTION THE NAME OF JESUS!!!
Does that sound like a Christian song to you (when compared to those with depth, like "It is well with my Soul", "Amazing Grace", and many others)? I would say no! It is a feel-good song, that is directed to make the audience glorify themselves. No wonder, Furtick was one of the songwriters. He injects himself into scripture in almost all his sermons.
Honestly, I take no pleasure in criticizing Kari, I do recognize the skill and talent that she has. It is simply that all the skill and talent of the world is of no use unless the emphasis is on the message of the Gospel (or) Praise to the LORD. I am still waiting to see a praiseworthy Hymn to surface in our generation, I am sure there are a few good ones out there, but they are largely overshadowed by the pomp, show and hype of these shallow ones.

Good morning!!! That's taking scripture out of context. It refers to physical harm of a prophet. For example in the book of Samuel when King David had the oppurtunity to kill King Saul and he stated that he will not touch God's annointed. You can call people out if they are in the wrong. And all of us have an annointing if you come into the gospel of Jesus Christ; repent and dedicate his whole life to him. Be Blessed :-)

    • @joshualoveday
      @joshualoveday 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Bridgett Allen You yourself just stated that a person can call someone out that’s in the wrong, yet the video never actually addresses any “wrongdoing.” It consistently uses generalities and vagueness and does not actually prove or say anything at all. Corinthians tells us that if we have not love, we are nothing. Even if “not touching the anointed” is addressing physical harm, most believers understand that many truths are parallels for other behaviors and while this video is not a “physical” form of harm, it is destructive in nature. Again, my statement about pharisee-like behavior still stands. Nowhere else in scripture are we told of our nothingness apart from the absence of love. Repentance is necessary anytime a person’s heart is in the wrong place towards his brother.

Romans 12:1-2 We renew our minds daily by cleansing them of the world’s “wisdom” and replacing it with true wisdom that comes from God. We worship Him with our renewed and cleansed minds, not with our emotions. Emotions are wonderful things, but unless they are shaped by a mind saturated in Truth, they can be destructive, out-of-control forces. Where the mind goes, the will follows, and so do the emotions. First Corinthians 2:16 tells us we have “the mind of Christ,” not the emotions of Christ.

Man when you attack someone’s idol they sure get upset.
Reading all the comments that state “I like her” is a red flag in itself. We should never elevate or like someone just because they are beautiful and can sing. That’s one of the main issues with contemporary “Christian” music is people worship the artist more than they worship Jesus. Yes maybe they are worshiping God but even if you’re worshipping an artist a teensy bit that is WICKED. It reminds me of being lost and having all my rap/rock idols that I like/loved even though I had never once met them.
I do not have to worry about idolizing a hymn, I can focus strictly on the praising and glorifying of Jesus Christ which is what we as Christians are suppose to be doing.
I learned this lesson the hard way when I first got saved with a “Christian” rap artist named Bryson Gray, I bought all his music and listened to him constantly. He would use the KJV and everything. Then one day he stated that “Jesus isn’t God.” I was so heartbroken and angry at him and God slapped me with the truth that this MAN was an idol in my life. If we get that upset about the truth of someone then maybe we should ask ourselves if we are idolizing that person.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness ( 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 ).

@@Tyler-Hoskins Not everything is heretical just because you don’t agree with it or like it."
You're right. It's when something is clearly unbiblical that needs to be exposed, independently of who said it. Pope Francis is saying that all paths lead to God and creating a One World religion, instead of claiming that Jesus is the only Way, the Truth and the Life : why does Kari Jobe even attends events that promote this false unity among religions ? It's not the words that matter : actions speak louder than sermons or worship songs. If you close your eyes and ears in front of your favourite pastor or singer, make excuse for them and just tolerate or shrug everything they say off, how are you able to differentiate between false teachers and those who are teaching the pure and unadulterated Word of God ? Be careful about defending false prophets like Furtick, who said that God "broke the Law for love" and that He "sent His Son in the likeness of a sinful man." Really ? Please, study the Bible on your own and don't trust every preacher, but test whether what he/she is teaching lines up 100% with the Scriptures.

Again... yes. And I don’t see what your problem with this is.
I've never met a christian who believed that Jesus is not sinless. Have you actually opened a Bible in your life ?
“God broke the law for love” um... yeah? He absolutely did! Many of these things went starkly against the laws of Moses."
Is God a sinner ? Please, read these words of Jesus and the apostles :
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven ( Matthew 5:17-19 ).
Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples : “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them ( Matthew 23:1-3 ).
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love ( John 15:10 ).
Everyone who commits sin also breaks the law; sin is the breaking of law ( 1 John 3:4 ).
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not burdensome ( 1 John 5:3 ).
Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law ( Romans 3:31 ).
Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth ( 1 Corinthians 5:3 ).
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead ( James 2:26 ).
I can post many more passages, but I think these are enough and don't support the claim that "the Law was broken or done away with at the cross", that's why it's better to truly know the Scriptures before listening to any pastor or preacher : if you're not familiar with the Bible, you'll be led astray by the first teacher who tickles ears and presents heresies as biblical, like Steven Furtick, Kari Jobe, Pope Francis and many others do all the time. So, please, test every doctrine or preacher and, if something doesn't match with the Scriptures, drop it. Have a great day!

Angst1966 In the Hebrew Scriptures, the word used to describe the realm of the dead is sheol.
Yes.

Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
    Roman's 14:12,13
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
    James 4:11,12
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. In speaking with her offline and away from the stage, she expressed interest in "making it big" in the Christian music world and that she wanted to be famous. She was also very judgemental and critical of people's appearance and when I made the decision to no longer attend Gateway Church, she told me that she would NEVER sing with me again and that she "could not walk with me"... Whatever that means. Take away the fame and the wealth and she would not appear to be serving God - she serves one person, herself.

I’m not saying your testimony of her personal behavior at the time is not true because only you Shaun and the Lord Jesus know the truth. However, I must point out there’s a distinction between one having questionable personal behavior vs. holding extreme doctrinal positions as implied in the video. I think all Christians, still having a sin nature, sadly can walk in unholy behavior from time to time. But, to state Kari Jobe is a heretic is a stretch as Spencer did not present evidence and links to her literally “preaching heresy”. The brother does not know her personally and thus his video smacks of opportunism and the sin of presumption at her expense. You present an account of questionable personal behavior concerning Miss Jobe but not doctrinal issues held.
Let us make this abundantly clear.
Also, I want to make clear I am no apologist for anyones personal behavior, including Jobe’s. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. My question to you brother is are you praying for her to have a changed heart and to reconcile to Lord Jesus Christ and then to others? I’m sorry to what you experienced but we still must forgive and lift our brother or sister up in pray. Not saying you aren’t but I got to state it.
Never forget Kari Jobe like the rest of us has to stand before the Lord to give an account for her life. She will and let’s pray, like us, she will repent now and have less wood, hay, stubble to burn than in that Day.🤔
      Blessings🙏🏻

The Christian must “judge” or discern between good and evil (Hebrews 5:14)! We must make spiritual evaluations of the words and behavior of others, not to find fault, but to effectively guard our hearts against error and sin (1 Corinthians 2:14-15; Proverbs 4:23). Jesus warns His disciples "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:15-16). This admonition is given not only with regard to “false prophets” but also concerning anyone who comes in the name of Christ but who, by his actions, denies Christ (Titus 1:16; cf. Matthew 3:8).
Do your research and use your discernment.

In the Hebrew Scriptures, the word used to describe the realm of the dead is sheol.
Yes.

You can enter heaven with bad theology. I was worshipping to a Kari Job song called 'We Cry Out'. My housekeeper came into the room and I didn't hear her. When I turned around, she looked at me with my hands held high worshipping the Lord. She said with tears in her eyes, "There is a God!" because she knew me before I was saved. My housekeeper came to faith that day. The bible doesn't say that you will know my disciples' by how much they are divided against one another. This is what the bible says, John 13:35 "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Here is the question at hand? Are you following John 13:35? Or are you following Revelation 12:10
AMP Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom (dominion, reign) of our God, and the authority of His Christ have come; for the accuser of our [believing] brothers and sisters has been thrown down [at last], he who accuses them and keeps bringing charges [of sinful behavior] against them before our God day and night. ARE YOU BEING LOVING OR ACCUSING? That is a question you must answer...

However, one thing I will say about myself is that I will not knock on whatever a person believes in. Every religion is different. Every religion also has its subgroups with different beliefs. I don’t dig into any of it bc to me almost all Christianity is the same as long as you believe Jesus died for your sins and is your savior and you don’t wish or do ill toward anyone. “Love thy neighbor as you would yourself” is a red letter scripture often forgotten. You can love your neighbor while still holding onto your beliefs and keeping yourself from calling them the devil. I don’t like hypocrisy. Bc what you believe is the right way is the wrong way for someone else no matter what. Ppl choose to be so divisive and judgmental. Just live and let live.

Question, let’s just say you are correct? Have you approached them either in person, call any of them or written any of them, or tried any other communications with them? Have you told them their faults as you see it, have you told them that you think the way they interpret the Word of God is in error? Have you afforded them them that as you see it, they need to turn from their ways?
You know I am not calling you out, okay yes I am calling you out. Shouldn’t our mission to be is to give them a chance to go see the light as you do? When you do that then maybe just maybe you saved them from hell fire. Now if your mission wasn’t to give them an opportunity to change their ways then is it gossip? Or are you warning all about them?
For me it would be a good idea to get both sides. It’s like when I see a video of someone coming against somebody or some group I only get to see it or see the the side of one(s) presenting their view, and a lot of times they put a bunch of edited clips that supports what these people are saying. Or in this case verbally you want people to believe what you are saying. Let me finish with a good thought, you have a good speaking voice God has given you, just maybe good for a preaching ministry, who knows, well God knows. Remember we are to always test the spirits when someone is singing or preaching also this includes your videos. Hey you know let’s just say you are correct, we are to even test what you are saying is biblical. Now there are people that weigh every word of a singer and preacher say, that’s ok. But I don’t go into a service waiting for someone to say something wrong. Praying and asking the Holy Spirit for discernment is the way I go. I must assume there are people that see your video (s) that may not know Jesus or there are people that may not read the Bible, therefore they are just getting one side.

Here is something that should be clear throughout the history of the Christian church, there have been errors regarding doctrines, but God weighs hearts and if it needs to be corrected it is necessary to let God do what he has to do with His person. If his songs minister to many despite some doctrinal error then there are things that God does that we will NEVER understand. Focus better on the gospel and remember that we do not have to concern ourselves with what is of your personal life with God.

In the Hebrew Scriptures, the word used to describe the realm of the dead is sheol.
Yes.

These comments against brother Smith are coming from people who lack discernment. When I was a new Christian many years ago, Kari had me fooled too. Her live version of the Revelation Song stirs up emotion, but it's only emotion. You have to go further than the music, find out what these people really believe in and you'll see most the time it's not biblical. Do not be deceived by these Hillsong heritics.

Okay, dude. Number one, you can't call her a rank heretic if her music is pretty anointed. Through every song I hear from Kari, there is something so wonderful, not only in her voice but also in the words that are being spoken through those songs. Two, everything you said in this video was completely none of YOUR or OUR business. She's entitled to believe what she wants to believe but I think that's pretty clear. Three, you making this video was very unChristlike. You're a missionary, not someone entitled to expose someone else ESPECIALLY if they're servants of the Lord. Do some correct research, shut up, and grow up. Must be embarrassing being called out by a 16 y/o.

    • @daraharvey4519
      @daraharvey4519 2 ปีที่แล้ว

You are wrong on all points. "Through every song I hear from Kari, there is something so wonderful, not only in her voice but also in the words that are being spoken through those songs." Ok, what is this "something so wonderful" to which you refer? Is she singing biblical doctrine, or does she simply sound good and make you feel good? There's a big difference. Correct doctrine will lead you to Christ and into maturity as a believer, while music that does nothing but make you "feel good" will lead you down a rabbit hole even further from Christ. Therefore, what Spencer says in this video IS the business of every believer. Read 1 Corinthians 5. Christians ARE to judge each other in the church - it's called accountability. And before you quote "Do not judge" at me, research what Jesus was actually referring to in Matthew 7:1. He's saying we are not to presume to judge a person's heart or their motives, because only God knows what is in a person's heart and mind. But we ARE to judge people by their fruit (Matthew 7:15-20), and that is what Spencer is doing here. Kari can believe whatever she wants, and when she falls short of biblical teaching, Christians can call her out on it and warn each other to avoid her music. This isn't cancel culture, it's the leaven Paul warned us about in Galatians 5:9. So no, Spencer making this video is the opposite of unChristlike. Jesus himself called out the Pharisees and false teachers of his day, and he warned his followers to stay away from them (Matthew 16:6). And he warned us to identify and avoid them in the church. Every Christian is not just "entitled" as you say, but more than that, we are commanded to expose false teaching whether it's from a preacher or a singer in the church.
Basically, everything you said in your comment is wrong, and it is YOU who need to sit down, humble yourself, and learn the truth. Try and do so before commenting.
