I paint every day without fail, I live alone and dont have friends or family, I suffer with terrible panic attacks and find the art helps. Ive been buying art supplies for christmas which I wrap up then forget what ive bought so have surprises 😂.Ive also bought myself a keyboard for christmas, I used to play a lot in my early 20s, Im 69 now so hoping to re-learn, anything to keep my mind active and keep the evil panic attacks down.just found you and have subscribed

I'm very sorry you have to go through this but you're so strong and I really admire you for having an outlet for these feelings. Just remember we're in the same boat and I'm here if you ever need to talk and you have someone that cares for you. I'm praying things will get drastically better for you!❤️

Hi I'm sorry to hear this, agree you are very strong! and I am glad art is helping and you are painting everyday! yes to treating yourself to art supplies for Xmas- I can't remember half of what I say in videos so I'm sure I would forget to if I wrapped up art supplies for myself- I'm too impatient and always want to open them right away. Yay for learning new things- I'm trying to learn a bit of spanish and it is really hard! I was terrible at languages at school but I think it is great a lot of us here are always open to exploring new things and trying our best. thanks for subscribing and let me know what art supplies you got when you've opened them ! best Sonia xxx

Hi, hoping you are doing OK too, I know there is a difference between solitude and loneliness and a bit of a loneliness epidemic going on currently- through our family moving country 2x and then friends we've made moving away, I know it is much harder making friends when your older. Here's to art as a positive outlet, and art you tube is nice company when making art.

You said playing around in your sketchbook often led to further/better creations later in the day. I read that Ed Sheeran said something like… the work you do in the beginning is like clearing out the water pipes, so the good stuff can come through better.

      I found it…💪🏻
Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was on Katie last week and described the creative process with a particularly wonderful metaphor, that writing songs is like turning on the faucet connected a dirty pipe: first all the mud comes out, then mud mixed with water, then finally clean water. The process of writing is about "clearing out your pipes."

ooh nice quote, love it and feel like Ed Sheeran really knows his stuff/ is prolifically creative - I think this is a good point lets get muddy (and then clean lol )

I love watching your videos and listening to you - very inspiring and instructive - thank you. Also to spend one’s time creating/making something rather than just sitting around consuming, numbing out on what I call ‘TV Candy’ is an immeasurably more fulfilling and important way to spend one’s time.

Thanks for sharing!! plus- I also know myself now, the fact you can binge watch series and there's just too much choice to scroll through is overwhelming! I can still procrastinate with the best of them though !

Hi Sonia! Lovely to see your videos popping up in my notifications again.
I'm particularly drawn to your red backgrounds and the last 2 pages that you finished on. Beautiful. Merry Christmas to you and yours x Nell.

I too really like that red spread - I'd probably frame hit /still it on wall but unfortunately this sketchbook is pretty fragile, might take the technique in to some final studies though.

Love your approach a d encouragement. I haven’t made much art lately because I did not like most of what I made. You encouraged me to start again.

Thank you and hope you are able to get started again , I get not liking work - I was just trying to do a couple of pages in the living room near family and maybe it was the dark as they had the tv on - but I wasn’t feeling it - maybe I’ll like it tomorrow in the light but then I like knowing I can always paint over too !

I wouldn't mind listening to you being hoarse. I mean, I'm sorry you were. But people are ridiculous with their sound quality expectations anymore. It's gotta be the younger generations 😂I grew up with vcr. I watched an original of like x files or something and realized the quality difference but at the time it was spectacular and it's still just fine to me ❤

thanks ! I hear you on this - you do get comments on this stuff, personally i'm more about is the content interesting to me, but each to their own - I'm way to lazy to edit out coughs and ums etc!
