    Personally, I only have a BSEE and work in hardware engineering but there's definitely a lot of value in a master's and is required or highly encouraged for IC Design(Digital/Analog). I feel like AI/ML is valuable but I would note coursework in FPGAs as another area of growing demand in the HW space that is especially relevant in AI/ML applications.

      VHDL
      Board Design PCB
      VLSI
      MATLAB
      C
      Assembler Microassembler Micro Controllers 8051 etc
      Arduino
      Currently I only lack Board Design and VLSI.
      Just doing MATLAB atm.
      I have those other 4 from a Diploma I did in Electronics, Practical Engineer/H.n.d 2-years Diploma 17-19 during highschool+1 year then Army service F15E Jet Fighter Avionics Technician in the Airforce 19-~22 then CAD work in AutoCAD. and know some other CADs. +Courses before starting EEE Bsc Engineer degree Electrical & Electronics Engineering and gap year sort of.
      Then EEE Studies currently studying, a student now, mid 2nd year out of 4 (spring/2nd semester) 24-28 duration of the degree. Almost 26 =D
      Some experience in CAD and labs in the Airforce.
      After some student jobs and drafting in CAD AutoCAD and as a desk guard for studying.
      Currently seeking a student job part time job as a Practical Engineer or 2nd year student + the Diploma, as the demands of a 2nd to 3rd year student for the job are almost all of them courses with exemptions thanks to the diploma. So could apply as a Practical Engineer too.
      I'm interested in ELOP Electrooptics and Chip Architecture Micro Nano Electronics Semiconductor devices and Computers Architecture Hardware Embedded Specialities in the Security and High-tech Industries.
      Hopefully mainly Chip Architect and VLSI and PCB, and some photonics for some ELOP and finally SoC for Embedded HW & SW mainly HW.
      Would be perfect.. 👍🏼😺

    This was awesome. You know that I’m currently looking for a job in the US, and even though I’m a Power engineer, there are many Electrical engineering requirements in job descriptions, mostly for the design. That’s why I’ll take a look at your EE courses video again and maybe take one or two, to add some into my knowledge, since I have studied that during my BA and MA, but didn’t have a chance to use at work.

    Thank You soo much for the amazing video. I appreciate the time, effort, and hard work you put into it. You're one of the few TH-camrs on this entire website to do such detailed and high-quality videos on computer, electrical, and hardware engineering. It brings me happiness to see your content because you discuss engineering in a way that is clear and straightforward. I am a recent college student looking to get into electrical engineering. If possible, could you do videos and or leave a comment on what tips you have for undergrads on studying, retaining, and applying the advanced math and physics required for the degrees? I want to get better at both of these subjects, but I'm having trouble filling the gaps in my knowledge and staying motivated while doing so. Do you have any advice for this? Once again, Thank You soo much for the videos because it's people like you that bring smiles to many faces and make the world a better place.

    I'm self taught and I have learned all of those topics from quantum mechanics and electrons to electronic components to circuits both analog and digital to logic, integrated circuit and cpu design or ISA design... I didn't start there though, I started off with programming or software design building 3D Graphics Rendering Engines and Physics simulations or Game Engine Design using either Direct X, OpenGL and now Vulkan. I even started to study Hardware Emulator Design which lead me into Assembly and Architecture Design and I also started to research and study Operating System Design and on my todo list is Compiler and Language Design. My preferred language(s) of choice is C/C++ however I a have also started to learn Python when jumping into A.I. programming, Neural Networks and Machine Learning algorithms. Not a single credited class and all of the math behind the scenes I've also learned on my own however I do have some college credits where I did take Calc I and Calc II but all of the other advanced math such as Linear Algebra, Vector Calculus, Analytical Geometry etc... all self studied, and I consider my "Ph.Ds (more than one) worth of knowledge" just a hobby! The only thing about computers or programming that I'm limited on is "network programming" I've done a couple of small mock up C/C++ programs to emulate a server and client side application, but it was specific as it used the winsock library as I only dabbled in it... For me, I like physics and 3D graphics when it comes to programming as well as hardware emulation, but aside from the programming side of things, I also have an interest in CPU Architecture Design. It would be great to have degrees in all of these fields but when you can not afford them... yet it doesn't deter me from continuing my studies in my preferred interests.

I now understand that when I finish highschool, I'll go for a BS degree in computer engineering, and I'll take the additional 2 years and go for a masters degree in electrical engineering, but my new questions are how do I figure out what to specialize in HW engineering? Whats the difference between processor design analog design and all of that stuff? Or should I not worry about that stuff right now because I havent entered university yet? Will it just come by later on?

      While I don't have a solid answer, I am a senior computer engineering undergrad and I'm still trying to figure out which fields most interest me. I would think the sooner you decide the better, so you don't waste time on less relevant classes or projects, but also realize you could potentially change your mind down the road. I know you didn't ask but I would recommend when you start university don't just go for generals first, dive into your major classes as soon as you can so that you can start to get a taste of the various subtopics and fields within the hardware field.

    • @ingframin
      @ingframin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      (I am not Anastasia but I am an experienced engineer) It doesn't really matter which specialisation you chose during the master. I went for microelectronics and never designed a chip in my 14y career. I worked on firmware, PCB design, washing machines and now I am enrolled in a PhD about wireless communications. Your passion and understanding is your only limit. However, if you want to do chip design try to make your thesis with a professor that works in this field. Chip design is kind of a closed circle, so doing your thesis in this field will help you to join the club. For other kind of jobs, just get your basics (Calculus, algebra, circuit theory, signal theory, ecc...) right and you are good to go.

      Hi! You don’t need coding for every position in hardware, it strongly depends on the field … If you would like to work as a chip designer or embedded system engineer, you do need to know a couple of programming languages. Check out this video th-cam.com/video/Ov1_FRso1gE/w-d-xo.html

    That was great. To be honest I got little confused at the last few weeks because I am going to join university in several weeks and I didn't decided yet what will I study for the next 4 years ??? I was comparing between computer engineering, software engineering and Electrical engineering. I believe that software engineering can be learned by online courses only without needing to study it in college but computer and electrical engineering is not.

    • @AnastasiInTech
      @AnastasiInTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Joe! What to study depends on your interests. Do you have an idea which products or devices you would like to develop in future? If you are not sure yet, you may consider going for something broad like Computer Engineering. Then you will get both SW and HW skills. You can find out on the way what you enjoy the most. It is pretty easy to switch from CE to Software Development afterwords.

    I think part of the reason why hardware engineering still requires degrees is that there is almost no freely available education. On top of that often times you need to buy actual hardware.
    Hopefully these things will change in the future. Open source is slowly catching on in hardware too. Maybe in a few years from now you can actually become a self taught hardware engineer.

    • @jasonolafami4528
      @jasonolafami4528 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      true. it does not have its own course. I been interested in hardware for years i didn't know what program to take. I choose computer engineering which includes everything combined. Like i like hardware but I struggle with coding and electrical engineering. What makes it worse is that my instructors are so hard to understand and most of them don't teach step by step and they just go straight to the answers without teaching us how to get there then they expect us to answer the next question without guiding us properly.
