clearly these shrimp ponds are working! The shrimp I order from you are always healthy :)
👍😁👋
Thank you for the support, I appreciate it 👍
noice!
It's hard enough resetting a 10 gallon. I feel your pain buddy
Yeah, 40s and bigger are quite a job for sure. 100g tubs are huge jobs.
Great video mate, do you know if there is an easy way to work out if a shrimp is Blue Pearl or Blue Jelly?
Blue Pearls are supposedly different neo subspecies, now I think most the shrimp we have in hobby are so hybridized that telling one from the other is pointless in my opinion. Blue pearls are essentially snowballs with a hint of blue. These jellies are closely related to reds in the grand scheme of things with neos. There really is no definitive way to tell that I know because both can be super light. Jellies probably just be a bit darker, Pearls are snowballs with the slightest blue tint. I would guess probably they're probably jellies since I very rarely see Pearls around the hobby. I used to see them around a little when I was getting into shrimp, but not hardly at all anymore.
@@MarkShellyAquatics Yea that was my thinking too, I see them listed for sale here in Europe but I think they are selling the same shrimp as Blue Pearl/Blue Jelly.
Ooh new tanks 👍👍I’ve just bought 8
Nice, for shrimp?
@@MarkShellyAquatics oh yes 👍
I noticed there was a kool looking bug he was shiny too and brown and round. What was it ? or was that a snail?😄 I love those neon blue shrimp so pretty. You always have such beautiful babies.Always love what you do ❣❣❣
Lol, had to have berm a snail. Didn't see any bugs, at least I hope not l9l.
Thank you 😁 👍
@@MarkShellyAquatics Yeah I love snails too they are also adorable little guys 😁
What are your thoughts on water scuds? I went on a month vacation recently and my shrimp population got cut in half and there were hundreds of scuds. Is there a way to deal with the scuds without hurting the shrimp?
Add guppies
@@faswilmfl9357 the guppies won’t eat my shrimp or its babies?
what type of moss is that cause mines doesnt grow that good its dark green and never grows but never dies either
It is pilo moss, or one of the mosses going around the hobby as pilo moss anyways lol. Most people have real goof success with it, only people I know that struggle with it are folks that have a high gh but super low kh. It does ok in my caridina tank that is low gh and 0 kh, but nothing like it does in hard water neo tanks. My water is super high kh, makes it grow like wild fire.
What’s the stem plant ?
It was huge stems of mermaid weed
Proserpinaca Palustris
@@MarkShellyAquatics thank ! I recently bought some
Making Shrimps in so many ways and that green hair would have me searching for day's!!! I have been trying to decide if it's a bad idea to get some of the Guppy Grass out ??? It's been taking over the majority of my 40 breeder. So what is the best move Mark , I came up with a conTRAPtion ,to guard them from escaping hats if i were to carefull l⁸
Lil I used to have guppy grass in my bloody mary 40g tank years ago, think there was more guppy grass than water lol. Just gotta pull out little bits at a time like I did with the moss lol.
@@MarkShellyAquatics Thanks Mark, No doubt I have been on the cautious side of doing anything other than what I have been doing since day 1 back in November. I have never even had my hand inside , but I miss not being able to see them from where I sit in the chair. That is also the most dense area from having the light on a diy riser so as far as I know the back is free from the plant that has a lot of pros to be sure but not being able to access the tank with a net kinda defeats the purpose of having them in a 40 B. Something tells me I will be doing this for a long long weekend since I think guppy grass is where they got the idea for making Velcro 🕺
