I couldn't find anything in the 2018 Camry manual that indicated what the bar meant, other than "ECO"! Thanks for not only clarifying it, but demonstrating it, as well. This is one of the few videos I've seen that were short and to the point, and the speaker was well-rehearsed. Great job!
CVT transmissions generally make more noise than traditional automatic transmissions and while the higher you rev the engine the more noise it makes and the more fuel you are using this does not mean the eco light on the dash is monitoring that noise. It's actually monitoring the engine load data coming from the control module. I hope that answers your question and don't forget to change your transmission fluid every 40k to 60k miles so you won't develop any expensive transmission problems.
Hello friends, I have a 2019 Toyota Corolla petrol version. Occasionally, when I brake, an "A" symbol appears on the panel, and the car seems to go into standby mode. When I press the accelerator pedal again, it appears to restart. I'm confused about this feature and would appreciate any guidance on the matter.
Hi, there! We know how important your Corolla is to you. While we understand your concern, we would be unable to provide a diagnosis over DMs. If you feel you need to discuss this matter further, we kindly request you to please call the Brand Engagement Center at 1-800-331-4331.
Hi Rod, we recommend visiting your vehicle's Owner's Manual for more information on disabling the ECO indicator: www.toyota.com/owners/ . You may also give us a call at 800-33-4331 and one of our brand advocates would be happy to assist you. ^CS

Glad to help you Skaizun! Happy travels in your Camry!
Does the eco light has anything to do with the transmission making a roaring noise

How can I disable the ECO indicator? It really isn't necessary and is a bit if a distraction.
