Great video and fantastic flying. I could feel your frustration not reaching Switzerland as planned in the first attempt but travelling by bus and hitchhiking is part of fun 😆! Great adventure. I need to do something like that too. Well done mate.
Nice adventure, I enjoyed watching this video ! As you might have seen when you said "I should have stayed south of this ridge", in day2, you may have flown into some natural airspace (300m/ground). Not a lot of pilots fly there because of it. Also as a feedback for next video, my personal preference goes to how you edited day 3 compared to day 2, about camera movements (fixed to the landscape is better than fixed to the mount I think, mostly for accelerated parts). Looking forward to your next adventure !
Thank you for the feedback and for watching! I was experimenting with different camera angles on this trip to see how they’d work out, so it’s good to hear your thoughts on what looked better. I agree, the fixed-to-landscape view does give a cleaner feel for the accelerated parts. And as for that bit near the ridge, appreciate the heads-up- I’ll improve for future flights! Glad you enjoyed it.
I’m using an insta X4 a recording the whole flight in video mode. I have a power bank connected so it’s charging the whole time so no messing. Changing batteries etc.
amazing!
Thank you!
Epic adventure!
Enjoyed that, nice trip!
@@TimPentreath Thanks Tim, I’ll hopefully be on the next Gumball…

Yeah frustrating but all part of it 😀
Very impressive planning, working out the conditions and flying. Well done.
Thanks Chris, you’ll have to get out and do some next summer 😀
Best thing I saw in a while. Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Nice mate!
Thanks man 🙏

Nice flight. When is the flight date? Wasn't it cold when camping on the mountain? Can you sleep warm with a tent and a thin blanket?
@@seosiappa It was in August this year and no its not cold when camping in August. Maybe in spring or autumn it’s cold.
@OllieEllis thanks. need a sleeping bag, or a thin blanket?
@ I use a sleeping bag but a blanket may work if you keep you flying clothes on
@@OllieEllis thanks
how do you film the long sections of flying mate? are you swapping batteries out or is it on a time-lapse or what? cheers. decent video!

No airspace infringement after Niesen? Anyway, well done!
No there was not but I did take line which was close to Reichenbach to stay over the raising terrain.
