Hey there, welcome to my brand new channel "AI.s Don't Cry'. I'm surprised of the success of this video. :) I'm glad to receive so many likes and comments :) And, my apologizes for the ICONIC Eagle that I did not reproduce the same because of Copyrights.
At DragonCon, back in 2012, I came across Martin Landau and Ernest Borgnine, just hanging out in a back room. I hung out with them for awhile, they were both great. I told Mr. Landau that I had been a boyhood fan of Space: 1999, and thought it was realistic and ahead of its time. He smiled, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, "Kid, I'm just glad one of us remembers that show."
This series should have already been "re-booted" by now, and I'm surprised no one has attempted to do so. Copyrights maybe?? All the "other" major Sci-Fi series have done so over the years, Star Trek, Star Wars, even Lost in Space had a movie...I watched the ORIGINAL Space:1999 back in the '70s as a kid, it premiered in the US on my 13th birthday, Sept 9, 1975, (it was Sept 9, 1999 in the show) and I really enjoyed it during the "Sci-Fi lull" between the cancellation of Star Trek TOS and the Premiere of "Star Wars" in '77. I'm sure it would do well if it is done like you have imagined here, as there are LOTS of fans still out there... thanks for the Video!!!!
They couldn't find enough black lesbians to replace the entire cast with. And the whole, " make the moon racist " thing was just not working out, no matter how many ashamed of their privilege white twenty somethings they put on it.
I saw a trailer for Space: 1999 in about 1975 when I was a little kid. I remember thinking "Wow! What is this?" Thank you for bringing back that feeling!
Despite some dreary mistake and the lack of the true Eagles, I love how it came out. AI-generated shorts have truly improved a lot and I can't wait to see more of this! Also, the images hi-quality proves how this franchise could easily be rebooted without sacrificing the magic atmosphere of the original product.
A remake of Space 1999 would be a marvelous subject for AI when it becomes more advanced. Gerry Anderson would have loved the creative possibilities that AI could provide. He was a pioneer in TV production using models and what he called "Supermarionation".
Yes, and i think this will come much sooner than we expect, not specifically for space 1999, but for other productions for sure. I'm actually rendering some shorts in a Supermarionation style, stay tuned. Maybe my next video if I'm satified with the renders.
Wow! This was seriously cool… quite refreshing not to be distracted by the unfeasibly large bosoms of my usual AI shorts! 😇. Don’t fuck with Eagles though… probably one of the most beloved of space craft designs! It’s mad what AI can produce from prompts now (a technology truly in its infancy). I’m sure the Hollywood machine is rubbing its hands in anticipation at putting millions of creative people out of work.
Brilliantly done. Would love to know what Gerry would think of it. The updated look of the Eagles looks brilliant, like a Ron Cobb or Chris Foss painting.
Pienamente d'accordo!! mentre guardavo il video pensavo la stessa cosa, però a mio avviso manterrei il design originale delle aquile. Bello Bello Bello.
@@RogbodgeVideo Thank you 👍, i'm using many AI tools like Runway, Hailuo, Kling, Suno, Topaz AI, Leonardo, Hedra, Le chat Mistral, ChatGPT, for the main tools. I would say it took me about 5-6 hours (because I had to make many renders and choose the best)
2999?! ... Si la civilisation n'est pas disparue, je crois que la technologie aura évoluée elle aussi et ces équipements paraissent très obsolètes... Plutôt 2099 et encore 😇
Its funny that the AI picked up on the show's usual dramatic cliche's - exaggerating them, even. The desperate looks, The mind-madness, the leaning over the consoles, etc. (Made me laugh out loud) - it was like it was making fun of the show's over-the-top drama.
Yeah, AI is getting surprisingly more sophisticated. I can see a day where people will create their own shows at home, and ask for a subscription to watch them.
@@boxonothing4087 I'm not for putting people out of work. There should always be a place for real Human drama, but the fact is, AI is here and is already improving exponentially. A side by side existence is inevitable. But the sad fact is, that more and more people now just channel hop or surf the internet. I have a ton of stuff I recorded or have on Blu Ray years ago, but still ain't watched.
Beautiful VI DE O 🎉. Love it . Hope you can do a Planet of the Apes 1968 with a more intelligent version of the Apes like the Original Book . Thank You.
This is absolutely brilliant if a series could be made like this I think it would work. The only thing I have to say I don’t like but I understand because a copyright is the Eagles there’s got to be something to link it to space 1999 like a Comac a buggy an eagle something but the rest of it is just perfectwell done
Yeah, the designs and model work in the original series were phenomenal. A reboot should make an effort to come as close as possible to the original designs of the base and ships, while maintaining an updated look. That being said, I do appreciate the effort.
@@Workerbee-zy5nx It would have to be a British production for me to watch it. I have no problem with some American actors, but it would have to be made in Britain. I'm American btw.
I need to see more. Create a series out of this concept. It really works. As a kid who saw the original back in the 70s and i own it on bluray now, i loved this AI experiment. More please. Do another an i will subscribe. 😇😎
Basically this proves "text to Hollywood" is coming soon. Companies will use this to extend tv shows without production costs Only question is which streaming site implements it first Disney or Netflix?
Just goes to show what a huge element a great musical soundtrack was/is to such shows, in particular Barry Gray’s. Such human genius is not so easily replicated by AI.
@aisdontcry AI seems to be fairly successful at generating pop tunes and music that relies heavily on repetition. IMHO, it's current ability to create melodic, symphonic or orchestral content simply BLOWS CHUNKS. Yeah... Mr. Gray is still safe for now -
Victor did pass through the console and there was a Helena wince that was very freaky, but this comes along as a pretty good reproduction of a 1970s series
I a m not fan of A:I but this video is much better tham a lot of sci fi movie producted in this last 10 years ( so mediocres ) ! It seems to describe a sort of weird and catatonic state , something that is going of happen , through scenes and gazes of the protagonists . Next level : you might try to produce a short movie ?

Martin Landau: stellar actor, galaxy-class wit!
The twiddling the knobs is just insane! lol
It's like Space 1999 was picked up for third season by the Italians.
Gli italiani hanno gusti migliori. Infatti non lo abbiamo fatto noi, ma voi.
@@fabiocanalatubeyou know that space 1999 was co funded by an Italian tv network ?
@@realitybites243 In fact the ORIGINAL series seems well made to me, right??

I'd watch this as a new series. Looks cool!
Waow ... very well done ... awaiting a full episode now :)
Thank you, well a full episode will require a huge work. 😉 Thanks for the compliment

I'm with you , maybe AI could do an even better job than the originals,I wish Doctor who was darker than it is.😊
Yes, it's time for a reboot.
Says you.
I say it should never be rebooted. I am more than happy with the series as it is.
@@zafod101….but Doctor Who is dark….and very woke.
It's amazing how it gets some elements spot-on, while others are wildly off the mark. Like the commander with the octopus legs.
The AI's may not cry but I did when the commander pushed his hands through his head at the end.
Great series, watched it as a child, Friday night treat 😁👍
It was before my time but they have it on Tubi which is where I watched it.
@PiratePrincessYuki yes I have both seasons on my laptop, I still watch them 😁👍
... The characters seem really really concerned about the ceiling! LOL; I'd still watch it though! ...
OMG...........I want MORE of this!!!! I loved Space 1999, and have always hoped they'd reboot it.
This is awesome.
Thank you, i'm glad you enjoyed this creation
Even in the year 2999 spaceships use analog buttons and knobs.
Drivers in 2024 will tell you buttons are better! 😄
And the "Main Mission" stations (desks) had the same lamps they used in the 1974 (thereabouts) production for 1999
Ever tried using your phone with spinach dip on your fingers? Miss grandma’s rotary phone.
Love it. The music is very cool too.
There's a movie or new series in this. Not even kidding.
The Space 1999 Eagle Lander was a great looking spacecraft. It looked like something that might actually work.
Yes, so much iconic. I decided to let the AI render the spaceship differently because of copyrights
I love how one guy runs through a table like it wasn't even there.
I didn't notice the first time! (1:38)
I saw a trailer for Space: 1999 in about 1975 when I was a little kid. I remember thinking "Wow! What is this?" Thank you for bringing back that feeling!
My thoughts exactly.
I've got the box set of the first season and still love it,the Eagles were the ultimate ships😊
I was born in the early 60s, this hit me right in the sweet spot in the 70s. That soundtrack blew me away.
Oddly enough, this makes me want to see more!
Try again that was terrible.
Well, there's no accounting for taste. 😉😜

Impressive
At 0:06 my first impression was that it was a Dalek ship on the moon. Space 1999 and Doctor Who do a cross over story line.
It's 2999, why does everybodies hair styles look 1960's?
Kate Winslet as Helena Carter?
Just isn't the same without the classic music.
