Go see the British one, it’s even better and more serious. No one’s really rude on it, a bit cold but not needlessly cruel, and it’s just straight talk. Moreover they don’t bring on obvious scammers. But yeah Shark Tank is like 90% Mark Cuban just yelling and interrupting everyone and pissing then off.
I've tried the product and it's not that good. It's not much different than many other coconut waters and to be fair, my city doesn't have a great selection of coconut waters so I'm still waiting on a good one. The biggest thing they have going for them is the the buddha trademark, in other words, vanity sells, even if the product is bad to mediocre
@@karishmadas420 They're not a tech company or produced something new & revolutionary, so it's pretty difficult to raise $5 million without a significant amount in sales.
Compared to the US or UK versions, it seems like more offers are made on this Canadian version, but also more people try to negotiate the offers, and end up with the offers being withdrawn
Getting fair offers on an exaggerated valuation and they got greedy. They blew it big time. I would be thanking my lucky stars to get what I asked for and someone like Arlene. What is WRONG with people? A perfect example of when the dragons are fair and the entreMANEURS are dicks. I actually went BOOM when all 4 went out. I very very rarely side with the dragons/sharks but I was actually happy they were brought rocketing down back to Earth and put in their place.
That said, they could be confident in their product. I think Endy and Ring have turned down Dragon's den deals and have obviously done better without them.
lol I see this around fortinoes and Sobeys… but at that price I’d rather the original brands from Thailand lol. Cheaper and tastes the same if not even better.
They definitely had a preference to Arlene. Should've asked Arlene if she wants to partner with others. I am glad they are still doing well though as I still see their products in the store.
depends on their mood and what's the deal I guess. They've been known to split deals. That said, I think Kevin's the least likely to split a deal. And these guys are also competing with each other too.
If I buy Coconut Water it's Taste Nirvana. The ONLY good Coconut Water. Kevin was literally the only good Dragon for this & you should've negotiated with him alone. Those others I haven't seen any products her in the USA yet 2 of them claim to have connections.

Excellent point. The name is problematic. Though I'm sure we'll get accused of "virtue signalling" by folks who think nothing is off-limits, offensive or wrong to say or joke about.
I know this is old... couldn't the dragons just stay firm at their offers instead of going out... negotiate you know... unless they didn't like it that much lol
@@supertouring1 I kind of understand it though. They are the ones being asked, so the feeling of "you're enough when we don't get what we want" isn't a great starting point for a healthy business relationship.
@@northgambit That feeling is common among investors across all four of the Dragon's Den and Shark Tank shows I have watched. What do you think? Does it actually make good business sense? This is a great example of how to fumble a bag that was in your hands
Idk if they fumbled, I see them in every store I go to
Imaging going into a discussion with 4 offers and coming out of it with 0 😂😂
I love how Kevin just waves them away.
that was priceless!
That's why he's called Mr Wonderful
Textbook case of how NOT to negotiate.
American watching Dragon Den here. I like this version because its straight talk no drama or theatrics.
Who asked if you’re a American 💀💀💀
I stopped watching shark tank because it just feels fake and acted out
Shark tank in a nutshell:
Shark Tank: tell us about your business
Entrepreneur: as the child of immigrants that suffers from lupus.....

All three versions have something to offer.
They're still in business after over a decade! Except their website doesn't look like it sells the coconut water, only the hungry buddha snack bars.
Anyone else catch 'Thirsting the quench'?
hahaha
Guy was nervous ash
Yes 🙈
"Thirsting the quench", lol
Arlene had the perfect offer and the blew it!
Yep. Totally greedy and unprofessional. A trio of buffoons
And that's their own fault! Oh well, what can you do?
Naaa dragons greedy and they got free marketing
I love their expressions of "what just happened?" after everyone withdrew their offers.
Why was it perfect? They don't make money from US deals. Arlene makes all the money.
Seems the company is still going and pretty strong. Closed a $5.25 million round of investment this year as well.

@@SG-jm7np Doesn't matter. If they constantly need investments. It means they aren't making enough money to fund themselves. That's not good.

Ouch... That must have hurt...
In the supermarkets there are so many coconut water brands. I think the market is oversaturated.
great for thirsting the quench
Your observational skills are on point.
Worst counter in history lol
got greedy.
Haha, Arlene, sees a half naked buff, "I'm in!"
The guy whispering that sucks at the end. Damn lol
Damn that was brutal 💀💀💀
They’re still around I just saw their coconut water at the grocery store
Why would I get coconut water? I have regular water and its fantastic.
You clearly don’t know how hydration works? lol
If you want coconut in with your water I suppose
They messed that up pretty well, being a bit greedy me thinks.
That said, they could be confident in their product. I think Endy and Ring have turned down Dragon's den deals and have obviously done better without them.
@Connor Dakoz By asking 4 dragons to come in they are offering 3.75% to each dragon, which is peanuts considering the time investment.
They still in business and making good money so u tell me who was greedy
Did they though? They got a giant commercial for nothing and gave up nothing

and I'm not talking about the Dragons.
That went fast
I have that in my fridge lol

fuckin hell these dragons do not mix well

There is NO SUCH THING as a super food.... It is ALL and JUST marketing.....
does anybody remember Aesop's fable of the dog and the bone... what's the moral of the story... don't get greedy

They can claim connections, but don't have to say whether those connections brought them any successful deals! 😅
Widows' Den!
Greedy is not a good idea 😢
American here. I like Canada’s Dragon Den better then Shark Tank US.
