Kagura has maybe no day of happiness but at least one single moment of it. The moment when she realized that Sesshoumaru came for her. Damn ....Sesshoumaru is such great XD
Kagura has always been my favorite. Bawled when Sesshomaru showed up as she died, she deserved so much more but I’m happy she got at least that moment of happiness.. even if it was her last moment at all.
@@yashaaristo maybe he does He even comes to her death moment Even she didn’t call him This alone say slot He was the only person to stand next to her until she died And we all know that sesso isn’t that kind of Typ
I see many of you here are quite fond of Kagura, and I'm sure she would have been glad to know that, considering the woman always had an appreciation for a good fan.
Despite how many bad things she did in the series, you never could hate Kagura She was a great character that truly deserved a better ending but at least she didn't die alone and seemed happy to finally be free
That final scene where Seshomaru is staring at her.. man its so sad. You can see the sorrow/compassion in his face and when he told her that he had come for her; Kagura's reaction gave me this sense of awe. I wanted him to save her so badly 😭 the music in the background is so beautiful too.
Kagura's death really breaks my heart, I always cry as I'm doing right now, she reminds me of how some people are controlled and can't be free and wish for freedom, a lot of people are suffering this right now in real life and I'm blessed to be okay but a lot are in her situation and end up murdered aswell... Kagura really in a way speaks for a lot of people in this world and it breaks my heart. I'm rewatching Inuyasha with my sister and I may skip that scene again because her death really messes with my heart
I think you might appreciate/like my roleplaying concept in an alternate universe where she didn't die and her and Sesshomaru end up being the parents for Setsuna while Shippo and Rin become the parents to Towa, making Towa a kitsune hanyou and Setsuna a kaze-inu hanyou. =3 I made photoshop edits of these ships on my DA page: shinnokurayami.deviantart.com if you want to check them out.
I seriously think she has the most tragic death. Kikyo's too but at least she died in Inuyasha's arms as she wanted. a lot of people including Kagome is willing to go thru anything just to save her but with Kagura the only happy moment she has if Sesshomaru didn't arrive she would have none.
One of the most tragic characters in the original along with Kikyo. It's like Rumiko sensei knew how to pull at our heart strings. She is one of the best manga creators ever.
I always felt that Kagura was the sadest and most tragic character even more so than Kikyo was. She didn't have any choice and never had a happy moment since Naraku could always punish her. Her death in the manga really made me cry which doesn't happen that easily. It was so heartbreaking to see that she couldn't be saved. 😥 Kagura was also such a cool character, especially her design and abilities. She also had that bad girl vibe that made her seem more confident than Kanna for example. And afterall Kagura wasn't such a bad person even though she did some horrible things under Narakus orders. It rather made her more relatable in my opinion. Afterall, who'd really be able to do only good things in such a tough situation? Sadly her dream never came true even though she changed for the better and was less ruthless in the end. 🙁
Her,kana & kikyo all were so tragic but I see her death as poetic due to the fact she wanted to be free and then was finally at last free like the wind but she still did bad things and had to pay for
Amazing video. There's no one else I know of who makes Inuyasha content like this! Kagura: Such an amazing character. God I love this series so much! Her death hit me so hard. I still can't read that chapter of the manga without crying. 😭
Personally I ship her and sesshoumaru and if possible I love it if she can somehow appear again in the sequel, who know something could happen cause it feels time travel is going to play a bigger role in the series then previously.
I have this hope that maybe just maybe Kagura came back as a human. She and sesshomaru get together and have the twins. I mean Towa does have red eyes and Setusna has wind cyclone power. 👀
I couldn’t agree more. I have no issues shipping Rin with Sesshomaru however, I do feel like Kagura might be the mother. Rin was still young, and it makes more sense that Sesshomaru could of went to underworld, found Kagura, knocked her up and then brought the twins to be taken care of by Rin , InuYasha and Kagome. Who knows lol, it’s just a theory but would be cool to be right. 😊
I’m a day late, but Kagura was such an amazing character. And GOOD GOD her last words were absolutely amazing I get tears in my eyes every time: “At least I got to see you... one last time.” Do you think you can do a video for Naraku? I would absolutely die for one! He’s absolutely one of my favorite anime villains of all time.
The death of Kagura really caught me off guard. In one scene the tragedy of her character dawned on me. The groomed killing machine serving a master is a generic character trope; but what made Kagura different was her free mind- she was not a mindless servant. While doing the bidding of evil; she was able to see the bravery and strong-will of the main characters, as she tormented them. She was able to observe the bonds of friendship and love. And the natural beauty of the world. But it was all restricted to her. A slight disobedience and she would suffer greatly. She didn't live a second of happiness. Also her relationship with Sesshomaru was so nuanced and poignant. Sesshomaru was a demon who was disgusted by human beings; for their weakness and pettiness. He sees how humans destroy each other over petty things, and how our suffering is, most often, our own making. He thought very little of most living things. But in Kagura, he saw creature who was truly suffering, by means out of their control. And who did nothing to deserve such tragedy inflicted upon them- unlike humanity as a whole. So he pities her. And stood by her as she died, knowing it would comfort her. On that note, I also think that's why Sesshomaru allows the little girl to hang around him, and even protect her. Pity for a creature truly suffering.
Her story is so good and complex, amazing. I really like her, her interaction with sesshomaru was great and together they made the best scene (her death). Strong, independent and beautiful woman.
神楽(Kagura) in Japanese is a Shinto word. A very special dance for God. BTW 神無(Kanna) means ‘No gods’. In Japan, it is said that around the time of October, all gods from around the country gets together in Izumo for one great conference of gods. Mainly discussing who should mate whom. Therefore ‘no gods’ in the mean while except in Izumo, it is 神有月or 神在月 ‘Kamiarituki’ meaning gods are here. FYI.
I was going to object to her as second best, considering Rin 1st, Kagome 2nd...but I think Rin and Kagome are tied. Then Sango and Kirara are tied with Kagura for 2nd 😋 Inuyasha has been my absolute favorite show of all time since 2002. I've seen every episode countless times. You're doing an AMAZING job. Thank you so much for giving your videos the great quality the series deserves! Your dedication and love of the series really shines through!
I think Kohaku deserves more credit here because they’re both pretty much the same. Both are forced to do Naraku’s will. They’re some parallels that definitely helped to shape Kagura.
I thought Kagura was in her twenties. Also, I'll just remind you of that creepy tree that grows heads as fruit and that disciple that sticks the jewel shards into his belly button and turned his master into a flower.
Kagura had a truly sad story, I am glad that she is free from Naraku in the end and will finally know what freedom is like. This look into Kagura really moved me, thanks for this look into her journey as a character~!!
Kagura really entertained me but I also did find her annoying with her scheming and did not find her very bright sometimes. I admired her will to be free but I truly dislike what she did to Koga. Her end by Naraku was sad but satisfying for me. I liked that he actually was in front of her and did the job himself. He sure had had enough of her. One thing I liked the most about her was her wind power. She never reach my top female at all not when there is Sango, Kikyo, Rin , Lady Mother and Kagome. So again nice look at Kagura. I have to agree with you that she was something else this demoness. She was more interesting than Naraku and princess Abi.

Oh hell no, YOU DIDN'T MENTION HOW KANNA MISSED HER!!! Kagura really is a bias I have. I feel like Sesshomaru had a very very Very small sympathy for her because Sesshomaru can sense people's intentions and it was many times they came across each other. Kagura and Kanna are my favorite incarnations. YOU BETTER DO KANNA NEXT...plz.
I think Kagura was the freedom act of Naraku aka onigumo, as a part of him she was his freedom but he never use this and he was consumed by darkness, Kagura was an inspired woman cause even till the end she fight just for herself
My sister is watching Inuyasha for the first time in her life and just yesterday we arrived at the chapter where Kagura died, she almost cried 🤣 and then she was like "Ooooh... So Sesshomaru has a heart too"
@@cherilynsarts8845 I defintely didn't see it in this way, she said "I saw YOU one last time" smiling, it means he's someone special for her. And we got 2 hints that he had feelings for her, also during the river scene, again she wanted to see him again before dying, he was the first person she thought about. She had a crush on him at least.
She really yelled at sessumaru I think she is the only human who can get away with that she is lucky he has a crush on her cause if he didn't he would have just killed her
I really hope sesshumurus mom finds out he liked her and she went to underworld and and brought kagura back to life for her son I can see her doing that she will make sure her baby sesshumuru is happy she will approve of kagura they bad like that those kids are kaguras just watch
.....well shit I never liked Kagura growing up but now.........Damn it I feel bad for her. A cool demon girl in the sea of other demon girls, only to die with a smile on her face, finally free and happy. Sure she was an antagonist but she had a character arc and she got what she wanted in the end. Beautiful job with the video and getting me to appreciate Kagura.
One thing I liked about Kagura, and one thing I feel people don't talk about all that much, is her relationship with Kanna. For starters, Kagura very much dislikes her "siblings" just as much as she dislikes Naraku himself. Pretty much all of her thoughts regarding them having her thinking something negative. With Kanna? Most negative Kagura got was that she's creepy. The two are also often paired together and they work well together, too. In the second movie, in Naraku faked his death, Kagura and Kanna remained together, despite having no reason to do so. And sometimes, when Kagura plans on helping the enemy, Kanna is the one who warns her about betraying Naraku. And finally, it's implied that Kagura's death was what inspired Kanna to betray Naraku; no one else's death did that. It's hinted that Kanna and Kagura did care for each other and Kanna herself was saddened by her sister's death.
when she first appeared, i didn't like her bc she was such a dangerous nuisance to inuyasha and friends, but over time i became fond of her. i really hoped she would get her freedom everytime she was trying, and i cried a river when she died. i didn't expect sesshomaru to see her for the last time either, it was so touching. tokijin breaking was also one of those moments that showed sesshomaru's change of heart throughout the series. earlier sesshomaru couldn't care less about kagura, but in the final act, he tried ending the fight as quick as possible so he could see her. kagura's one sided feelings was bitter sweet too :') everything about her was just beautiful and painful, sort of like kikyo.
One of my favorite anime characters ever, I was rooting for her from the start and was so upset she died. I still cry every time I watch or read that scene. She was brave and very determined to be free of Naraku. I also enjoyed her relationship with Kohaku near the end. I have a head cannon that had she survived they would have grown closer kinda like siblings and Kohaku would call her little sister just to get under her skin. 🤣 I know I’m weird...
I feel like their deaths were tragic but still beautiful. Kagura got her heart back and kanna died defying Naraku's final order to her. It was beautiful and tragic. I also always shipped kagura with sesshomaru and I feel like even if he didn't feel anything for her on a romantic level, I still loved how he did end up getting affected by her death. That he felt compassion for her. If he were still the same sesshomaru from the beginning, he wouldnt have even bothered to stop fighting and follow her scent to the field. He would have only cared about his and Rin's life the most only, but kagura's death showed he actually can care about more then just those in his travelling group. That he did really grow and I'm glad it was shown go be kagura's death that moved him,cuz she is an incarnate of a hanyou ,his enemy and it just says alot. I hope her kanna get mentioned in the sequel or make a comeback. It was make fans cry
Ah yes, the queen who got me to get bangs like hers HAHAHAHA Though I'm sad she died, I'm glad she didn't go down without a fight and saw Sesshoumaru in her last moments. Well time to draw fanart 🤣
I feel bad for both Kagura and Kanna. Both never got a full day of happiness. At least Kagura enjoyed a taste of happiness with Sesshomaru, but poor Kanna never enjoyed a drop of happiness. While initially she never experienced any emotions (she was a mindless puppet), after Kagura’s death, Kanna began expressing her emotions, but all she could feel is sadness and anger. Sad because her beloved sister, Kagura is dead. And anger because their creator (Naraku) killed Kagura and could at any moment kill her. She wants to avenge her sister. At her death all we could see is sadness as Kanna didn’t wanted to die.
To be honest, I never knew that much about Kagura until Yashahime allowed me to dig deeper into the OG cast; the one thing that intrigued me about her (as I thought about it), why does Naraku have her heart? Do all his incarnations have hearts? If not, that would mean Kagura was already a living being when she encountered Naraku. I like to think she was a dying yokai when she came upon him; in Naraku fashion, he offered her a chance at life if she would do something for him. She agreed out of desperation thus giving Naraku possession of her heart; the mark on her back is a sign he owns her now. I am rereading the manga because maybe there is something I missed about her character; I know shows/movies aren't always faithful to the books (ex, Harry Potter). Is there more to her character? 🤔
I created a concept for a roleplay mixing both Inuyasha and Yu Yu Hakusho universes and made it so Kagura survived and her and Sesshomaru were the parents to Setsuna meanwhile Towa ends up being the daughter of Shippo x Rin. I support Shippo or Kohaku with Rin. Kagura would of made so much sense as Setsuna's mother they have a lot in common. I don't see anything Rin in Setsuna. Setsuna's wind abilities, her cold demeanor, her love for music it's all traits of Kagura. It's like Rumiko knew this would piss off Kagura x Sesshomaru shippers and spat on our faces... Other than that I paired Kagome with Shuichi, Kikyou with Kurama (in this merged universe Kikyou dies of old age being happy with Kurama for them to both be reincarnated as Kagome & Shuichi so it would be a soulmate kind of thing.). I also paired Miroku with Botan and Kohaku with Yukina then finally Hiei with Sango. I left Sesshomaru with Kagura and Yusuke with Keiko. You can find my photo edits I created promoting the concepts on my DA page: shinnokurayami.deviantart.com I also have a detailed synopsis as to how the 2 universes could work and co-exist do to 2 things: 1. Kuwabara's dimensional blade 2. the merging of Elder-Toguro & Naraku
In Inyusha the final act close to the end when Naraku were close to death Byakuya stated that when naraku dies so would he...would the same thing apply to kagura? Even if she did survive naraku attack wouldn’t she had dies anyway when naraku dies? I hope this question make sense. Really enjoying your videos.

Really? That's actually super interesting to know and kinda weird, but I will take it aha hopefully I can get a video out to get you to subscribe tho ;)
I like inuyasha so I just might sub.
How poor kagura she want only is freedom and escape from naraku hand's
So Sesshomaru has a heart too"
😂sometimes he does
Her earrings are jade.
Kagura, Euphie and Petra top my 'Queen deserved better" list.
😭
They should have made sesshoamaru save her in the end , its sad that she put all her faith on him to kill naraku and then she died
Sesso wanted to save her but she refused that
@@whiteheart9218 she didn't refuse he couldn't save hee
Her*
@@azfootball921 oh i remember
Now you are right
Kagura is the hottest anima character of all time
easily the best character on inuyasha. i love tragedy, but this one broke me. i enjoyed her so much.
I will never forget her scene especially when she's dying. I never thought she's inlove with Sesshomaru!
She's not in love with him. She's just really happy that someone she knows actually came at her before she dies
She really yelled at sessumaru I think she is the only human who can get away with that she is lucky he has a crush on her cause if he didn't he would have just killed her
She isn't human, and also she is immortal while naraku holds her heart. Sesshomaru wouldn't have been able to kill her
Interesting I meant to say demon but your right lmk when you find out who the mother of his kids are
I really hope sesshumurus mom finds out he liked her and she went to underworld and and brought kagura back to life for her son I can see her doing that she will make sure her baby sesshumuru is happy she will approve of kagura they bad like that those kids are kaguras just watch
Kagura has been dead for 10 years by the time the twins are born. The mother is Rin lol
kagura and sesshoumaru would make a good couple
Kagura is one of my favorite character in the Inuyasha series
.....well shit I never liked Kagura growing up but now.........Damn it I feel bad for her. A cool demon girl in the sea of other demon girls, only to die with a smile on her face, finally free and happy. Sure she was an antagonist but she had a character arc and she got what she wanted in the end. Beautiful job with the video and getting me to appreciate Kagura.
I may have like kagura at first but as the show went on I started to like her and feel for her like she was the that just wanted to be free
I cry every time I watch her final episode. 😭 great video!
She was 17? Damn, the dub made her sound like she was in her 20's.
when she first appeared, i didn't like her bc she was such a dangerous nuisance to inuyasha and friends, but over time i became fond of her. i really hoped she would get her freedom everytime she was trying, and i cried a river when she died. i didn't expect sesshomaru to see her for the last time either, it was so touching. tokijin breaking was also one of those moments that showed sesshomaru's change of heart throughout the series. earlier sesshomaru couldn't care less about kagura, but in the final act, he tried ending the fight as quick as possible so he could see her. kagura's one sided feelings was bitter sweet too :') everything about her was just beautiful and painful, sort of like kikyo.
🤣 I know I’m weird...
its a shame that the Tenseiga couldnt save her Kagura would've made an excellent ally for Sesshomaru :(
Kagura was a favorite of mine without question.
Ah yes, the queen who got me to get bangs like hers HAHAHAHA
Though I'm sad she died, I'm glad she didn't go down without a fight and saw Sesshoumaru in her last moments.
Well time to draw fanart 🤣
Yay! I love kagura so much.
I’d love to see a in-depth look on Hakudoshi. He seemed really fascinating
Keep up the good work my man.
I just love Kaguraaa. 🥺
I feel like there should be a irl grave for kagura so the fans can leave flowers there lol
I burst into tears
You can find my photo edits I created promoting the concepts on my DA page: shinnokurayami.deviantart.com
I also have a detailed synopsis as to how the 2 universes could work and co-exist do to 2 things:
1. Kuwabara's dimensional blade
2. the merging of Elder-Toguro & Naraku
Am I the only one who thinks that if Kagura had lived Sesshomaru would have had kids by both her and Rin
What a Great channel 👏
thats my girl. I w\always wanted to b and pretended to b kagura. my lil cuzn was always kagone
No Cap I swear they made Temari from Naruto based of of Kagura from Inuyasha
Hey @Axelbeats! Can you do Hakudoshi please?
Kagura and Kanna were my favorite Incantation of Naraku, hands down
She is one my favourites
I felt so bad for her 😞
In Inyusha the final act close to the end when Naraku were close to death Byakuya stated that when naraku dies so would he...would the same thing apply to kagura? Even if she did survive naraku attack wouldn’t she had dies anyway when naraku dies? I hope this question make sense. Really enjoying your videos.
I think she would have died there too unfortunately :/ I'm glad you like em!
I think that was why she was looking for way to sever the connection between them. Not just for freedom, but also that she could live after he died.
Love everything about this story
