That's the reason why I posted the three songs. None of those available here on YT were good. My 7" vinyl (which is the one shown in the video. I scanned and cleaned it up a little bit) was near perfect, but it too had some popping issues in this particular song. Luckily, my pop remove in Goldwave got rid of it. Could the quality be better? Of course, but I doubt any vinyl rip would make the song sound perfect due to the imperfections of the grooves and age of the recording itself.
I don’t know how but you did it! I’ve been needing this version with higher quality for EVER I wish we had all of Frankie Vinci’s stuff from Sleepaway camp and thank you for the details about Vinci’s recording process because of his songs I became a fan of Sleepaway camp!
I would love to hear more music from Frank Vinci. This has a very nice 70's punk/early goth vibe, like it was influenced by Christian Death, Nosferatu, Dead Kennedys, etc. This is pretty bad ass! Thank you for uploading this!
Unfortunately, the two songs he did for this film are the only tunes he ever made. As noted in the description card, he was trying to emulate David Bowie.

@@Phaota and you absolutely right, the ones that were on here were mid compared to this. It's like a full rework. They did the best with what they had available, but this is amazing work. I wonder if the old Sleepaway Camp restoration site is still up. That's how long people been waiting on something like this.

Nice. But I wish someone would officially release the version that was in the Rec Hall scene in the movie. It has more of a New Wave sound, while this one sounds more Rock. I prefer the film version.
Hmmm, didn't know there was a difference. I'm surprised this vinyl version isn't the same. Unfortunately, if the movie song is full of sound effects and dialog, there's no way to get a clean copy.
