I test drove it today temperature- 7. Snowing, very bad range result. Battery was full 98 %, showed range with full battery 235 km. So comparing to WLTP 480 km, real range 48%.A summer car not a winter car.
Gorgeous !! For the price, stop asking questions. Basic MODEL 0-100km/h in 5.7 s accelerates harder than a basic Tesla Model 3 2024. All in a PREMIUM SUV. Good bye
The Harman Kardon sound system in the Plus and Ultra versions of the car isn’t just one speaker. The sound bar in the dashboard has 5 speakers in itself. In addition to the 5 speakers(2x mid, 3x treble) in the soundbar, there is a bass speaker also in the dashboard, a subwoofer in the car and also speakers in the rear doors. Even the Core version’s default sound system has a soundbar with 4 speakers and a bass speaker.
@@n0b0d1r i test drove the Ultra version and there are no speakers in the doors, the soundbar is the only source. Since the doors are free of electronics besides the windows to make cheaper production.
@@EvokyrThey are in the rear doors (1 speaker per door) in the Plus and Ultra trim. If the soundbar has ”Harman Kardon” written on it, then there are also speakers in the rear doors. At least so is said in all of Volvo’s marketing and I can also confirm from sitting inside of a Ultra trim vehicle.
Camera focus is set on the tablet so i assume the headlights look darker than in reality. But i'd also like to see an light visibility test in the night as well!
@@edrivesweden that would be great! Have you ever tried Polestar or Volvos pixel headlights? Is the effiency even close to the pixel? I know that the normal led lights and pixels has a different technology behind them but I’m curious to know if there is a big difference in light effiency.
@@eetuuuskoski1894 Both the black XC40 and the red C40 on the channel had pixel lights. Haven't noticed any difference. Light performance is the same, but the pixel headlight does "fade out" better than the dynamic headlights. Even asked a Volvo sales and he said the same.
The consumption of electric cars increasing significantly as the speed increases. Here where I live, the maximum speed is 100 km/h and mostly 80 km/h, so the consumption is much lower i think 🤔.
The Indigo color of the interior does not look like in the website from Volvo. Is it really that blue in real life or the video lies and it's more dark blue in reality?
In a sunny day its like in the video, if its cloudy it is a little bit darker. You can also check out E-Drive Sweden on Instagram if you want to see the interior from a different camera :)
Lovely looking car but that range is terrible, look at some of the Chinese cars coming on the market later this year and they have a range of between 500-630 MILES!!!!
This was at -15c on snowy roads at high speed, which is a worst-case for most people, even in Canada where I live. You'll get a lot more range in Summer. However, if you really need to drive 8 hours every day, with no stops, you should consider other cars (or a different occupation).
It's really good! But remember this car has the ultra trim with the Harman Kardon sound system and not the cheaper high performance sound system from the Core trim. :)
None of these fuken evs perform well in winter, it looses so much range. Thats why all evs need to have 350 mile range minimum, who wants to stop and kerp charging constantly, especially when you're road tripping in cold climate, no way.
My 2022 EV6 Wind AWD has been getting over 300 miles of range at 100% charge state this winter, though we don't get -15C temps in New Jersey, typically.
Looked very cheap in the interior. Never anything that Volvo has created before. The seats are not what they used to be, tight space in the back. The plastic looked very plastic, really looks like recycled plastic too, which it is. The exterior otherwise looks very nice. It's a shame that you have to shell out so much more money to get a real Volvo. Then refers to the Volvo EX90, which is the only real electric car after the EX30, which is coming in the summer. However, the average person doesn't have 100k €/$ for one.
I understand your points. But there’s a difference between what you see on a video and what it’s like in real life. I sat in it in June last year when it was promoted in Cologne, Germany. The interior is mostly plastic, but it feels and looks way nicer irl. Also the denim inlays, the Nordico artificial leather feel very nice and provide a unique design. It’s not supposed to be luxurious. That’s not the design thought. It’s a compromise between simplicity, cost savings and comfort. The seats don’t look nice but they are very comfortable and can firmly hold a chunker like me. For the base price it’s probably the best car you can get in that category. Currently there are only a handful of cars that can compete with the EX30s performance, comfort and all around quality. I almost instantly ordered mine with ER and Plus configuration. Should be at my front door next week. At least I hope so.
Volvo EX30 Twin Motor Performance Video coming in a few Days, make sure to subscribe!
Excellent video, thanks! Would love to see some footage of how it performs in a low traction situation with the ESC off (and on too, I guess 🙂)
Finallyyy a black version!! Best one so far 😍😍
This might be my favorite video yet

Wow! The indigo interior is more blue than I expected. Looks nice tho!
I love it. Electric, Simplistic, affordable and Volvo
Very nice looking EV, especially like the colour scheme, both interior and exterior!
Tanks from Quebec, we can’t wait this EX30 👏👏👍

Great mix of features & testing. Assumed your rear legroom was with front seat set for you. Are rear seat heaters available?
yes and i am 1,86m tall. I don't think so. :)
Can't wait to get mine
Nice to see chargers inlet same position as Tesla😊
So dealers are starting to get it for test drives now?
yes! Here in Sweden since 1-2 week ago. :)
Nice video!
Hi what is the set-up of this ex30 volvo
Hello!
This Volvo EX30 has Ultra trim with black tinted windows, Indigo interior and exteriorcolor Onyx Black. :)
Nice color interior... Indingo ? Good match to the black exterior
yes, indingo! :)
What about the sound system? It has only one speaker. Is it good enough?
Note, In the Plus and Ultra trim there’s two rear door speakers, amplifier and a subwoofer - total 1040 W output.
This one had the HarmanKardon premium sound and it was surprisingly good! Really liked it.

How was the light power? In the range test the light effiency didn't look good. 😵

From the Design, it looks like these are the 18-inch wheels. Can you confirm?
245/45R19 :)
Nah, those are indeed the 18 inch rims.
You're absolutely right guys, sorry my bad! 18" winter tires and 19" summer tires. :)

@edrivesweden i dunno maybe, it was Nokian

studded tires?

Thats true! Consumption and range would be much better at 80km/h. In summer you should almost reach the WLTP range at 80km/h. :)
Same here - Norway. This EV suits our infrastructure better than that of the Autostrada/Autobahn folks aiming for a regular 110-140 km/h.
@@chrisving91 Above 120 km/h, things get really thirsty for electric vehicles. Especially in winter. 😄
Beautiful car, but tiny rear space and very poor range (300km in good weather for the "extended" version??) will make customer look away.
Volvo gotta work on their goodbye lights
Excellent 👍
Too bad it was -15C :( I bet it does +another 100km in +15C.

huge consumption for a small car
True! But in worst conditions :)

EX30 now and EX90 autumn :)
Everyone is copying Tesla’s minimalist interior. It definitely lowers manufacturing costs.
