this issue with this is the pricing, regardless of how much I'd spend for separates, you can't ignore you get a dedicated power supply for each separate your purchase. Whereas with an all in one it's a shared power supply, which to me erodes the value and likely the sound.
Very good review, you are a natural my friend. When you get time you must listen to their amps from the 400 series mono blocks all the way through their 800 series is outstanding, very open and musical.

He uses Macintosh pre/power amps and a Gustard DAC. But he didn't say that --- instead we're told how impressed he is with the 791. He also spends a bit of time comparing Roon vs Mind2 playback. That's ok, but the primary interest for most audiophiles is how it sounds compared to his references, which here, he fell short.
No two Phono inputs as said, so small error here. He did not give information about the DAC, if it's chipbased, or R2R or a FPGA solution. He said that the streamer was great, but we don't know if the software is still fluid if you have 20 K tracks it has to index .The review was also missing comparisons to similar priced gear. Comparisons are mandatory for a review. What was the partnering equipment he tested this unit with? So I disagree with you that this was a very good review, still solid yes.
Beautifully design "BUT" that's a crazy price tag for us Norma's. If zj went home with a electronic item with this price tag I may as well hang myself for free before my lady cut my head off. Thank you for your illustration.
Well, very nice piece. Having two phonos is great. However, IMHO, manufacturers are not getting the fact that tape decks (either cassette or R2R) are coming back! Should have, at least, one “rec out”! Ideally two. This is not slightly as complicated as having phono boards. That’s my two cents.
A mobile phone screen that sits 15 to 25 feet away from the listening position. Brilliant. Only need 30/20 vision to see anything. Fantastic decision. Buah’ha’ha
Have to say, I really dislike that kind of remote. I also don’t like using apps for remote. A solidly built infrared remote with tactile feel buttons is a much better experience.
I don't really like the idea of a DAC in a preamp unless it can be replaced much cheaper than replacing the preamp. I would also prefer more balanced inputs. The cosmetics are okay but not my cup of tea. Also not enough analog inputs as I require many. These are all my caveats. Others will surely disagree as you certainly should if you do.
"well" is an adverb; "good" is an adjective. Listeners feel good when gear sounds good. Gear does not sound "well" under any circumstances. Nothing sounds well, other than people whose health has recently been in question. Get it right, it's embarrassing.
I love this unit so much I got one in my bedroom and living room. Less cables and perfect sound . Highly revered it. All in one is fun
Ultra positive review. As it should be in light of lawsuit threat by manufacturers in case of negative reviews. Stay positive - avoid lawsuit threat.
