It take a bit of getting used to when people suddenly say hello that watch your videos. I even had that at Gatwick airport in December. The main beach was almost empty when I was there on Tuesday. The other beach was busier though.

Another great place to have a great breakfast and superb Sunday lunch is the pool bar at Los Lomas just up from the market. Lovely place to eat with friendly staff. Hi both, just watched your food guide to what’s open in Corralejo and a great tour once more. As we always stay in Caleta De Fuste we don’t have the pleasure of trying resturants at night time, but visiting through the day time, we always eat at the Toro Beach which serve amazing food and also serve you drinks at your sun bed. Whilst back in November with my family, we’ll definitely be trying out other places to eat. Thanks once more, we love watching your updates. X

Videos great Amelia. We usually come twice a year, we did 6 weeks last Xmas and new year and we’re gonna be there this year as well, hopefully! There are loads of great bars and places to eat but we love the Step In. Nice food, lovely staff.

Hi Ladies. Great to see the place opening up again 😊 Some of my favourite restaurants are Fusion 22 Indian food really lovely. Fado Rock for great steaks. Ascension everything is beautiful in here. Nestor’s Argentinian food absolutely fabulous, and so many others. We’re due out end of August - some slight rumblings in the UK press that Spanish authorities may stop UK tourists due to level of COVID still here and that 2 districts in Spain have gone back to lock down. Is there any talk in Fuerteventura of this happening? Hope to be out with you soon 😎😀
No talk of that here at the moment Michael. The World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) visited the Canary Islands this week and declared it an ‘open and safe’ destination. I think if everyone continues to follow the rules then we’ll be ok 👍
Hi Ladies, We come out tomorrow afternoon. So excited to be returning to our favourite island. Shame we have to wait until Wednesday for Fado Rock to reopen, but soooo looking forward to the mixed meat on the stones and chicken al fado. It will be strange seeing the place so empty, especially at this time of the year but we are just glad to be returning.

Another useful and entertaining update - thankyou ladies. One of my favourite cafes is Cafe Gala in the Atlantico Shopping centre, great for drinks, snacks, or meals at any time of the day, it was nice to catch a glimpse of it on the video.
@@AmeliaBolger I remember her partner is called John, he was the excursion organiser at the holiday complex where I stayed last time. We got on very well, he shared some of the best off-the-beaten-track places to visit during my stay, many of which you have featured on your youtube postings, bringing back such fond memories 😁 Thank-you! They invited me to his 60th birthday bash at the cafe, live music, free food etc. I would also meet them swimming in the atlantic just off the beach near the Shopping Centre in the late afternoon. I must confess, I'm struggling to remember her name, Magda or Gretta keep popping into my head, but not with any confidence 🤔

Brought back some very happy memories x thank you, we were in 2001 moving out to fuerteventura to a place on chipmunk mountain but it didn't happen as my husband became ill . Still wish we could but at 72 it won't happen now unfortunately. Caleta de fuste has certainly changed , there is a jewellers on one of the main streets we still have a Christmas card from them. Have you any suggestions please as to the best hotels to stay usually 4 or 5 star also any good self catering places . We have stayed at the Barcelo spa hotel where the entertainment was excellent. Your video I thought was excellent so thank you so much again. Take care and live your dream.
There's a lot of nice private villas to rent in Caleta, self catering is a good option at the moment as you can be self contained and support some of the local bars and restaurants. We often book private rentals through Airbnb- tinyurl.com/up2d7po Hotel wise- Barcelo is still well liked and a lot of people tell me they like Elba Sara. We've had family members stay in Eurostar Las Salinas and Ereza Mar and thought they were very nice too (both of those not due to reopen until November). Thanks for watching! 👍

Awesome video I came to caleta de fuste about 28 years ago and by the looks of it it hasn't changed much I am thinking about coming again in 2022 for my honeymoon but we're undecided as yet but I think it will be fuetwrventura
Saturday 18th July here in Caleta. Barcelo Beach is open but no entertainment. Barcelo Thalasso is not open until August when we will come back. In general the whole resort and town is quiet and many places not open due to lack of tourists. I was hoping to see more open today, but still quiet. I’m off to Fado Rock this evening to mix things up from all inclusive, so I hope it’s as good as you say. 3pm is a time when most people either are in the shade drinking or in bed resting. Keeping the faith things get better. All inclusive is currently a waste... book self catering and eat out to boost local incomes.
I did think self catering could become more popular for the rest of this year, AI is probably going to feel a bit different for a while. Good to get feedback from someone actually on holiday at the moment 👍
Amelia Bolger TUI told me this morning that if there is reduced or no entertainment at Thalasso in Aug, then that is tough luck. Once booked, they legally have control of the holiday and features even if they are reduced. Cancellation or changes are steep and stacked in favour of the tour operator. I would advise Self Catering ONLY to be booked. All inclusive are restricted too much to be good value at this time and local businesses deserve your money more and can offer additional things larger companies won’t. It’s been an experience this past week, so please think carefully.
Hi.I miss Caleta de Fuste so much!I still didn't go this year..I am a bit scared..I am a regular client of the other hotels,a bit further over the boulevard...there is Caleta de Fuste too.You have to walk something like 10 minutes along the sea and you reach beautiful beaches of golden sand without stones.You find there the Sheraton hotel, the Elba Carlotta and the Elba Sara Beach&Golf resort.I personally always go to the Elba Sara but I went to the Barcelo' hotel as well(which is shown in the video here, with a white sand beach but stones in the water) .A pity that the 2 english girls didn't walk that direction for a change.It was worth it.The beaches are fantastic!Greetings from Amsterdam.

thanks guys, fingers crossed for all the local businesses surviving. We have booked for November. We have got a week in September but sort of waiting and watching on what's happening before booking anywhere. Himself is off to Icmeler a week on Sunday, already had to rebook his flights once but determined to have his holiday. Too hot for me in Turkey at this time of year. Sad news about the Lord Nelson : ( that's our "go to" bar in Caleta, Kat and Greg make everyone welcome and there's good entertainment, we always try and catch Paul Mac.
I’m sure Lord Nelson will be back, we just to visit on holiday when they were in the pool bar at Puerto Caleta apartments so they’ve been part of Caleta for a long time. Hopefully you’ll get a week in during September if things keep going well here 🤞

Unfortunately no confirmed reopening date for Bristol Playa, Beverley. It is currently closed and furniture has been piled up outside which seems to suggest a refurb. It’s not currently available to book until 1st Feb 2021 on their website and there are guests with bookings soon that haven’t been able to make contact with anyone at the hotel. There is of course a possibility that it might be reopen by October but I’d speak to whoever you booked with to see what your options are.

Hi Kimberley, the market in Caleta is still closed at the moment. There is a small craft market on a Sunday morning at Oasis Park Zoo but the zoo itself doesn’t reopen on 1st August. Have a great holiday and thanks for watching the video 👍
The ones we mentioned in the video are all open in the evening. Slap and Tickle reopens Friday night with the usual karaoke etc. As you know Caleta isn’t really a late night resort and with it being quieter at the moment most places will close a bit earlier than usual most between 10-11pm. This will change as the resort gets busier. Jet2 have just started flying again and TUI from 25th July so I think August will be busier

Problem for us is we would have to self isolate for 2 weeks on return as we live in Scotland 🏴. Which means we probably won’t be able to make it as we don’t have enough holidays to cover 4 weeks 😢😬. Great destination too been there many times and always a warm welcome
Update . I received an email today from Sheraton and they said they are aiming to reopen on 1/8/20 but are not 100% sure whether it will happen or not. So who knows what’s happening 😆🤣
Great updates and useful for fans of the caleta area. Since this was produced I am led to believe certain places have again had to shut and restrictions tightened on wearing face masks in bars and only when taking in a mouthful of drink can you not wear it. Also opening hours shortened. Best wait for the next update to determine how comfortable the circumstances would be for a great holiday break. 🤔
Great video, appreciate the info about places still closed, especially the white centre. I however, couldn't wait any longer for a break so I have just returned from a very enjoyable week over there. The face mask wearing policy is not too taxing at all and I found that everyone was trying their best to distance, and adhering to the policy without letting it spoil things and enjoying themselves thoroughly. To anyone considering going, I wouldn't let that put them off at all, and with things starting to open again but it staying relatively quiet, now is a great time to go. Thanks for the video and I will keep watching in anticipation of my next visit.

Hi Michelle, I imagine everything should be open by October. The latest hotel dates I’m currently aware of are Eurostar Las Salinas and Ereza Mar both 1st September. Broncemar Beach is 31st November but only because of a planned refurb 👍

I think there will always be a few that are nervous given how strict our lockdown was. It’s not just the Spanish though, there’s a few ‘expats’ that are vocal about their fellow Brits returning. The media do like to spin a story though, these people are in the minority and often worried about themselves. The island needs tourism, follow the rules and no reason you can’t enjoy your holiday safely. The people serving you in hotels, bars or restaurants all seem to be happy to be back at work in our experience

Mask on the plane, temperature check on arrival and a completed passenger locator card so Spanish authorities know where you are staying. No need to quarantine though. Quarantine on return depends where you live. England, Wales or Northern Ireland it’s not required. Currently, you would need to quarantine for 14 days if you return to Scotland or Ireland. Ireland will be announcing their ‘green list’ of countries soon so subject to change.
Hi Paul, it varies from hotel to hotel as they are able to set their own polices to a certain extent. Buffets will have individual pre-plated portions of food. Some will switch to table service. A few of the hotels have information and photos on their websites or social media so you know what to expect. From what I’ve seen the larger hotels (Elba, Barcelo, Riu) seem to be handling it very well.

There are loads of great bars and places to eat but we love the Step In. Nice food, lovely staff.
A few people have told me they do good food, have only ever had a drink there so will give it a go 👍

Hi Ladies. Great to see the place opening up again 😊 Some of my favourite restaurants are Fusion 22 Indian food really lovely. Fado Rock for great steaks. Ascension everything is beautiful in here. Nestor’s Argentinian food absolutely fabulous, and so many others. Oh yeah, The Step Inn is great for sports, evening music, and the food is great too 👍

We’re due out end of August - some slight rumblings in the UK press that Spanish authorities may stop UK tourists due to level of COVID still here and that 2 districts in Spain have gone back to lock down. Is there any talk in Fuerteventura of this happening? Hope to be out with you soon 😎😀
No talk of that here at the moment Michael. The World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) visited the Canary Islands this week and declared it an ‘open and safe’ destination. I think if everyone continues to follow the rules then we’ll be ok 👍
Hi Ladies, We come out tomorrow afternoon. So excited to be returning to our favourite island. Shame we have to wait until Wednesday for Fado Rock to reopen, but soooo looking forward to the mixed meat on the stones and chicken al fado. It will be strange seeing the place so empty, especially at this time of the year but we are just glad to be returning.

One of my favourite cafes is Cafe Gala in the Atlantico Shopping centre, great for drinks, snacks, or meals at any time of the day, it was nice to catch a glimpse of it on the video.

We got on very well, he shared some of the best off-the-beaten-track places to visit during my stay, many of which you have featured on your youtube postings, bringing back such fond memories 😁 Thank-you! They invited me to his 60th birthday bash at the cafe, live music, free food etc. I would also meet them swimming in the atlantic just off the beach near the Shopping Centre in the late afternoon. I must confess, I'm struggling to remember her name, Magda or Gretta keep popping into my head, but not with any confidence 🤔

Caleta keeps looking like a place i would like to visit thanks amelia and sarah.
It’s a fairly small resort by some standards but there’s still something for everyone 👍
Brought back some very happy memories x thank you, we were in 2001 moving out to fuerteventura to a place on chipmunk mountain but it didn't happen as my husband became ill . Still wish we could but at 72 it won't happen now unfortunately. Caleta de fuste has certainly changed , there is a jewellers on one of the main streets we still have a Christmas card from them. Have you any suggestions please as to the best hotels to stay usually 4 or 5 star also any good self catering places . We have stayed at the Barcelo spa hotel where the entertainment was excellent.

There's a lot of nice private villas to rent in Caleta, self catering is a good option at the moment as you can be self contained and support some of the local bars and restaurants. We often book private rentals through Airbnb- tinyurl.com/up2d7po
Hotel wise- Barcelo is still well liked and a lot of people tell me they like Elba Sara. We've had family members stay in Eurostar Las Salinas and Ereza Mar and thought they were very nice too (both of those not due to reopen until November). Thanks for watching! 👍

Awesome video I came to caleta de fuste about 28 years ago and by the looks of it it hasn't changed much I am thinking about coming again in 2022 for my honeymoon but we're undecided as yet but I think it will be fuetwrventura
I was there when they closed it down on the Sunday I flew back the next day glad to see the place opening up again. As Arnie said 'I'll be back!' 😎👍
Saturday 18th July here in Caleta. Barcelo Beach is open but no entertainment. Barcelo Thalasso is not open until August when we will come back. In general the whole resort and town is quiet and many places not open due to lack of tourists. I was hoping to see more open today, but still quiet. I’m off to Fado Rock this evening to mix things up from all inclusive, so I hope it’s as good as you say. 3pm is a time when most people either are in the shade drinking or in bed resting. Keeping the faith things get better. All inclusive is currently a waste... book self catering and eat out to boost local incomes.
I did think self catering could become more popular for the rest of this year, AI is probably going to feel a bit different for a while. Good to get feedback from someone actually on holiday at the moment 👍
Amelia Bolger TUI told me this morning that if there is reduced or no entertainment at Thalasso in Aug, then that is tough luck. Once booked, they legally have control of the holiday and features even if they are reduced. Cancellation or changes are steep and stacked in favour of the tour operator. I would advise Self Catering ONLY to be booked. All inclusive are restricted too much to be good value at this time and local businesses deserve your money more and can offer additional things larger companies won’t. It’s been an experience this past week, so please think carefully.

Hi.I miss Caleta de Fuste so much!I still didn't go this year..I am a bit scared..I am a regular client of the other hotels,a bit further over the boulevard...there is Caleta de Fuste too.You have to walk something like 10 minutes along the sea and you reach beautiful beaches of golden sand without stones.You find there the Sheraton hotel, the Elba Carlotta and the Elba Sara Beach&Golf resort.I personally always go to the Elba Sara but I went to the Barcelo' hotel as well(which is shown in the video here, with a white sand beach but stones in the water) .A pity that the 2 english girls didn't walk that direction for a change.It was worth it.The beaches are fantastic!Greetings from Amsterdam.

We have got a week in September but sort of waiting and watching on what's happening before booking anywhere. Himself is off to Icmeler a week on Sunday, already had to rebook his flights once but determined to have his holiday. Too hot for me in Turkey at this time of year.
Sad news about the Lord Nelson : ( that's our "go to" bar in Caleta, Kat and Greg make everyone welcome and there's good entertainment, we always try and catch Paul Mac.
I’m sure Lord Nelson will be back, we just to visit on holiday when they were in the pool bar at Puerto Caleta apartments so they’ve been part of Caleta for a long time. Hopefully you’ll get a week in during September if things keep going well here 🤞

Unfortunately no confirmed reopening date for Bristol Playa, Beverley. It is currently closed and furniture has been piled up outside which seems to suggest a refurb. It’s not currently available to book until 1st Feb 2021 on their website and there are guests with bookings soon that haven’t been able to make contact with anyone at the hotel. There is of course a possibility that it might be reopen by October but I’d speak to whoever you booked with to see what your options are.

Hi Kimberley, the market in Caleta is still closed at the moment. There is a small craft market on a Sunday morning at Oasis Park Zoo but the zoo itself doesn’t reopen on 1st August. Have a great holiday and thanks for watching the video 👍
Hi Amelia..how many bar's and restaurants are actually open in the evening..our favourite bar is the Slap and Tickle..
The ones we mentioned in the video are all open in the evening. Slap and Tickle reopens Friday night with the usual karaoke etc. As you know Caleta isn’t really a late night resort and with it being quieter at the moment most places will close a bit earlier than usual most between 10-11pm. This will change as the resort gets busier. Jet2 have just started flying again and TUI from 25th July so I think August will be busier

Problem for us is we would have to self isolate for 2 weeks on return as we live in Scotland 🏴. Which means we probably won’t be able to make it as we don’t have enough holidays to cover 4 weeks 😢😬. Great destination too been there many times and always a warm welcome

Update . I received an email today from Sheraton and they said they are aiming to reopen on 1/8/20 but are not 100% sure whether it will happen or not. So who knows what’s happening 😆🤣

Since this was produced I am led to believe certain places have again had to shut and restrictions tightened on wearing face masks in bars and only when taking in a mouthful of drink can you not wear it. Also opening hours shortened.
Best wait for the next update to determine how comfortable the circumstances would be for a great holiday break. 🤔

Great video, appreciate the info about places still closed, especially the white centre. I however, couldn't wait any longer for a break so I have just returned from a very enjoyable week over there. The face mask wearing policy is not too taxing at all and I found that everyone was trying their best to distance, and adhering to the policy without letting it spoil things and enjoying themselves thoroughly. To anyone considering going, I wouldn't let that put them off at all, and with things starting to open again but it staying relatively quiet, now is a great time to go. Thanks for the video and I will keep watching in anticipation of my next visit.

Hi Michelle, I imagine everything should be open by October. The latest hotel dates I’m currently aware of are Eurostar Las Salinas and Ereza Mar both 1st September. Broncemar Beach is 31st November but only because of a planned refurb 👍

I think there will always be a few that are nervous given how strict our lockdown was. It’s not just the Spanish though, there’s a few ‘expats’ that are vocal about their fellow Brits returning. The media do like to spin a story though, these people are in the minority and often worried about themselves. The island needs tourism, follow the rules and no reason you can’t enjoy your holiday safely. The people serving you in hotels, bars or restaurants all seem to be happy to be back at work in our experience

Can anyone tell me is there any extra restrictions if travelling from the UK/Ireland?
Mask on the plane, temperature check on arrival and a completed passenger locator card so Spanish authorities know where you are staying. No need to quarantine though.
Quarantine on return depends where you live. England, Wales or Northern Ireland it’s not required. Currently, you would need to quarantine for 14 days if you return to Scotland or Ireland. Ireland will be announcing their ‘green list’ of countries soon so subject to change.

Hi Paul, it varies from hotel to hotel as they are able to set their own polices to a certain extent. Buffets will have individual pre-plated portions of food. Some will switch to table service. A few of the hotels have information and photos on their websites or social media so you know what to expect. From what I’ve seen the larger hotels (Elba, Barcelo, Riu) seem to be handling it very well.
